治目能近视不能远视者。
白茯苓（三两） 人参（三两） 远志肉（二两） 石菖蒲（二两）
上为末，蜜丸如梧子大，以朱砂为衣，每服七丸至二三十丸，温米汤下，食后服，日三
服。
按∶阳乏不能远视，此方补阳药也，故主之。但此症年老宜之，空心当服还少丹及补肾
阳之药。
治肝肾不足，眼目昏暗，常见黑花多泪。
枸杞子（四两） 肉苁蓉（一两） 巴戟天（一两） 甘菊花（四两）
上为末，蜜丸如梧子大，每服五十丸，盐汤温酒任服。
按∶此方专补命门少火，此水中之火不足。盖水滋肝木，肝通眼窍，是以神水足而神膏
养，神光自发，瞳神可保无恙矣。明目何疑，可加熟地八两。
治翳膜遮睛，隐涩昏花，常服清利头目。

为末。蜜丸弹子大，每服一丸，细嚼徐徐咽下。
按∶此方俱轻清上行之品，治标可也，宜暂用之。
治肾经虚损，眼目昏花。
甘枸杞（一斤，取色赤滋润者作四分，用酒一杯润之）
一分川椒一两同炒，一分小茴一两同炒，一分芝麻一协议炒，一分独炒，炒过将椒等筛
拣去，
加熟地黄四两，白茯苓三两，甘菊花二两，共为末，蜜丸如梧子大，每服五七十丸，空心温
酒送下。
按∶此方中年以后，每日常服，不独可保目明，而却病广嗣，其功甚大。
治疗眼睛能看清近处但看不清远处的症状。

按语：阳气匮乏导致不能远视，此方是补阳的药，所以主治此症。但这种病症适合老年人服用，空腹时应当服用还少丹及补肾阳的药物。
治疗肝肾不足，眼睛昏暗，经常看到黑花、多泪的症状。

按语：此方专门补益命门中的少火（生理之火），这是水中之火不足的表现。因为水能滋养肝木，肝开窍于目，所以神水充足而神膏得到滋养，神光自然发散，瞳神可以保持健康无恙。明目还有什么可怀疑的呢？可以加入熟地黄八两。
治疗翳膜遮蔽瞳孔，眼部隐痛干涩、视物昏花，常服可清利头目。
甘菊（初开的五百朵） 荆芥穗（五百穗） 木贼（去节，五百茎） 川花椒（五百粒） 楮实子（五百粒）
研成细末。用蜂蜜制成弹子大小的丸剂，每次服用一丸，细细咀嚼后慢慢咽下。
按语：此方所用的都是轻清上行的药材，治疗标症是可以的，适宜暂时使用。
治疗肾经虚损，眼睛昏花。
甘枸杞（一斤，选取颜色红润滋润的作为四分，用一杯酒润湿）
一分川椒一两同炒，一分小茴香一两同炒，一分芝麻一同炒，一分单独炒，炒过后将花椒等筛拣去除，
加入熟地黄四两，白茯苓三两，甘菊花二两，共研成细末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，每次服用五七十丸，空腹时用温酒送下。
按语：此方适合中年以后的人每天常服，不仅能保护视力明亮，而且祛病延年、广继嗣，功效很大。
Treats the condition where one can see near objects clearly but cannot see distant objects.
Bai Fuling (Poria, *Poria cocos*) [3 liang], Renshen (Ginseng Root, *Panax ginseng*) [3 liang], Yuanzhi Rou (Polygala Root Flesh, *Polygala tenuifolia*) [2 liang], Shichangpu (Acorus Rhizome, *Acorus tatarinowii*) [2 liang].
Grind the above ingredients into powder, form pills the size of wu zi (wuze tree seeds) with honey, coat them with Zhusha (Cinnabar, *Cinnabaris*), take 7 to 20-30 pills per dose, swallow with warm rice soup, take after meals, three times a day.
Commentary: Yang deficiency leading to inability to see far is treated by this formula as it tonifies Yang. However, this condition is suitable for the elderly; when taken on an empty stomach, Huanshao Dan should be taken along with herbs that tonify Kidney Yang.
Treats dim vision due to Liver and Kidney insufficiency, characterized by frequent seeing of black spots and excessive tearing.
Gouqizi (Goji Berry, *Lycium barbarum*) [4 liang], Roucongrong (Cistanche Stem, *Cistanche deserticola*) [1 liang], Bajitian (Morinda Root, *Morinda officinalis*) [1 liang], Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemum Flower, *Chrysanthemum morifolium*) [4 liang].
Grind the above ingredients into powder, form pills the size of wu zi with honey, take 50 pills per dose, swallow with salt water or warm wine as preferred.
Commentary: This formula specifically tonifies the Mingmen Fire (Ministerial Fire), which is insufficient fire within Water. Since Water nourishes Liver Wood, and the Liver opens into the eyes, sufficient Shen Water nourishes the Shen Gao (Spiritual Paste), allowing Shen Guang (Spiritual Light) to emit naturally, thereby protecting the Tongshen (Pupil). There is no doubt about its ability to brighten the eyes; one may add Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root, *Rehmannia glutinosa*) [8 liang].
Treats nebula covering the pupil, causing dullness and dryness in the eyes, and blurred vision; regular use clears and benefits the head and eyes.
Gan Ju (Chrysanthemum Flower, *Chrysanthemum morifolium*, first open flowers) [500 heads], Jingjie Sui (Schizonepeta Spike, *Schizonepeta tenuifolia*) [500 spikes], Mu Zei (Equisetum Herb, *Equisetum hiemale*, nodes removed) [500 stems], Chuan Hua Jiao (Sichuan Pepper Fruit, *Zanthoxylum bungeanum*) [500 grains], Chu Shizi (Broussonetia Fruit, *Broussonetia papyrifera*) [500 grains].
Grind into powder. Form pills the size of a bullet with honey, take one pill per dose, chew thoroughly and swallow slowly.
Commentary: All ingredients in this formula are light, clear, and ascending in nature; they treat the branch symptoms and are suitable for temporary use.
Treats eye blurriness due to Kidney Meridian deficiency.
Gan Gouqi (Goji Berry, *Lycium barbarum*) [1 jin, select those that are red and moist, divide into four parts, moisten one part with a cup of wine];
One part of Chuan Jiao (Sichuan Pepper Fruit, *Zanthoxylum bungeanum*) [1 liang] stir-fried together; one part of Xiao Hui (Fennel Fruit, *Foeniculum vulgare*) [1 liang] stir-fried together; one part of Zhima (Sesame Seed, *Sesamum indicum*) stir-fried together; one part stir-fried alone. After frying, sieve out the pepper and other additives.
Add Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root, *Rehmannia glutinosa*) [4 liang], Bai Fuling (Poria, *Poria cocos*) [3 liang], Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemum Flower, *Chrysanthemum morifolium*) [2 liang]. Grind all into powder, form pills the size of wu zi with honey, take 50-70 pills per dose, swallow with warm wine on an empty stomach.
Commentary: This formula is suitable for daily long-term use after middle age; not only does it preserve clear vision, but it also dispels disease and promotes fertility, with great efficacy.
