Treating Qiangzhong (Excessive Sexual Arousal). This condition is often caused by indulgence in sexual desires and pleasurable diets, or the consumption of elixirs. When true Qi is depleted and medicinal qi manifests yin, it leads to vexation, thirst with an urge to drink water, doubled food intake, persistent erection of the genitalia without ejaculation during intercourse, thus causing deficiency-heat in the Middle Jiao that transmits to the Lower Jiao. Among the Three Jiao, this is the most difficult to treat.

Sheji (likely a textual error for Shigao/Gypsum Fibrosum or specific herb), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) (each 3 liang), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Poria (Fushen), Trichosanthis Radix (Gualougen), Magnetitum (Cishi, crushed), Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu), Kudzu Root (Gegen), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Licorice Root (Gancao) (each 2 liang).
The above are processed into a coarse powder. For each dose, use three cups of water, one kidney, removing the fat membrane, add one he of black soybeans, and boil until reduced to one and a half cups. Remove the kidney and soybeans, add four qian of the herbal powder, and decoct until seven-tenths remain. Strain and take after meals; if heat in the Lower Jiao is prominent, take at night. Discontinue when thirst ceases, then administer tonifying formulas.

Treating Qiangzhong Xiao Ke (Excessive Sexual Arousal with Wasting-Thirst). After symptoms subside following the Stone Shepherd's Purse Decoction, this formula can be used for nourishment.

Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, remove stamens), Panicum miliaceum grain (Liangmi), Trichosanthis Radix (Gualougen), Poria (Fushen) (each 4 liang), Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, remove heart) (each 2 liang).
The above are ground into fine powder. Wash a large pig stomach thoroughly, insert the powder, sew it shut, and steam in a steamer until extremely soft. Remove the herbs, grind the pig stomach separately into a paste, mix with the previous powder to achieve proper consistency. If too dry, add a little honey, pound for thousands of strokes, and form pills the size of wu zi (seed of Cerasus japonica). Take fifty pills with water before meals.

Treasing Xiaoshen (Kidney Wasting), which also falls under internal wasting. It is often caused by unrestrained lust, extreme indulgence in sexual activity. Young men fearing impotence may take many elixirs and mineral stones; or loss of will injures the Kidney. This results in dry, cracked lips and mouth, spontaneous seminal emission, or red-yellow urine that is turbid with five-colored floating sediment, dry and solid stool, frequent urination but not significant thirst.

Poria (Baifuling), Walnut Seed (Hetaoren, blanch in hot water, remove thin skin, grind separately), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, one large piece, remove skin and navel, slice, boil dry with one cup of fresh ginger juice and one fen of Arsenolite powder/Ge Fen, then dry-roast).
The above are equal parts ground into powder, made into honey pills the size of wu zi. Take thirty to fifty pills with rice beverage; or prepare as a powder, mixed with rice beverage, taken before meals.

Treating Xiaoshen Xiaozhong (Kidney and Stomach Wasting), excessive drinking, frequent urination.

Kudzu Root (Gegen), Trichosanthes Root (Tianhuafen), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Chicken (Ji, cleaned and dried by roasting) (equal parts).
The above are ground into powder. Each dose is two da qian. Crush ancient tiles from old houses, decoct in water to make a soup, mix with the powder, and take at any time.
