Treats cough caused by an extremely deficient pulse, where coughing draws pain to the heart, a sensation of obstruction in the throat as if something were stuck, and in severe cases, swelling and pain of the throat.
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Tongcao (Tetrapanacis Medulla), Fuling (Poria), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) [decored and stir-fried], Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [roasted], Baishiyin (Quartz), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix) [decored].
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, make pills with honey, sized like wu zi (seeds of *Catalpa ovata*). Take 30 pills with wine before meals.

Treats extreme excess in flesh, manifesting as Ji Bi (muscle bi-syndrome), a creeping sensation on the skin like mice running, depletion of body fluids, opening of cou li (pores and interstices), profuse sweating, numbness or lack of sensation, acute pain in the four limbs, or conversely flaccidity and weakness, ulceration of lips and mouth, and discoloration of the skin.
Shinan (Acanthopanacis Trifoliati Caulis) [1 liang 1 fen], Tianxiong (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix) [processed, peel and umbilicus removed], Shanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma), Taoren (Persicae Semen) [processed, stir-fried, peel and tips removed], Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [roasted, each 1 liang], Shengma ( Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Weirui (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma) [each 1 liang 5 qian], Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Chensha (Cinnabar) [separately ground, each 3 fen], Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) [2 liang], Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus) [1 liang 3 fen].
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 2 da qian per dose, mixed with warm wine before meals.

Treats extreme deficiency in flesh, manifesting as heavy body and lethargy, unwillingness to raise the four limbs, joint pain, loss of appetite, cough after eating, pain in the right hypochondrium drawn by coughing, pain radiating to the back and shoulders making rotation impossible.
Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Bajitian (Morindae Officinalis Radix) [decored], Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis) [soaked in wine], Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma), Fuling (Poria), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) [processed, each 3 liang], Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) [each 2 liang], Tianxiong (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix) [processed, peel and umbilicus removed], Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) [processed, peel and umbilicus removed], Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) [washed seven times in water], Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) [remove radix tips], Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Gualougen (Trichosanthis Radix) [each 1 liang].
Cut the above ingredients into pieces for decoction. Take 4 qian per dose, add 2 zhan of water and 7 slices of fresh ginger, decoct until reduced to 7/10, strain, and take before meals.

Treats extreme excess in qi, manifesting as panting with qi rushing to the chest, frequent irritability, fullness and pain in the heart and abdomen, heat inside and outside the body, restlessness, vomiting, and anxiety; in severe cases, hemoptysis, shortness of breath and fatigue, anorexia, dry mouth and throat.
Qianhu (Peucedani Radix) [8 liang], Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) [washed seven times in water to remove slipperiness], Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [remove joints and wash in water], Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix) [each 4 liang], Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) [3 liang], Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) [bran-roasted, remove placenta, 1 liang].
Cut the above ingredients into pieces for decoction. Take 4 qian per dose, add 2 zhan of water, 7 slices of fresh ginger, and 1 jujube, decoct until reduced to 7/10, strain, and take at any time.
