取蓖麻子一两,去壳;雄黄二钱,研细成膏状,涂抹于产妇右脚心,待胎衣或胎儿一旦排出,立即洗去药膏。若不洗去,会导致肠管脱出。

Treats difficult labor, retained placenta, and cases where the fetus has died and remains in the uterus for several days after delivery; this formula is effective.
Take one liang of Ricini Semen (Bì Mán Zǐ), remove the shells; take two qian of Realgar (Xióng Huáng), grind into a fine powder to form a paste. Apply to the sole of the mother's right foot. Immediately wash off once the placenta or fetus is delivered. If not washed off, evisceration (prolapse of intestines) may occur.
Use this method.
Treats the condition after delivery where blood flows into the placenta, causing it to swell and preventing expulsion. If treatment is delayed, abdominal distension occurs, with Qi rushing upward to the chest and heart, causing pain, panting, and urgency. Take this formula to expel the blood trapped within the placenta. Once the blood disperses and distension subsides, the placenta will naturally be expelled.
Fuzi (Prepared Aconiti Lateralis Radix, half liang, processed, skin and umbilical scar removed) Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex, one liang) Ganxi (Stagnant Lacca, one fen, crushed and stir-fried until smoke ceases)
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Add one sheng of strong vinegar and one liang of Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) powder, boil together into a paste. Mix with the herbal powder to form pills the size of a Chinese quinoa seed (Wu Zi). Take five to seven pills with warm wine at any time.
Treats cases where the infant has been born but the placenta remains, accompanied by hardness and severe distending pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, as well as fetal death in utero with inability to expel.
Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, soaked in wine) Qumai (Herba Dianthi, each one liang) Huashi (Talcum, two liang) Chixiaodou (Adzuki Bean, two he and half) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, soaked in wine) Mutong (Akebiae Caulis, each one liang and half)
Cut the above ingredients into coarse pieces. Take three qian per dose, decoct in two zhan of water, and take at any time.
Treats retained placenta and lochia retention; takes divine effect. (See the formula under the category of Blood Loss in Large Formulas.)
Moxibustion: For transverse presentation or malpresentation where all medicines fail, moxibustion on the tip of the little toe of the right foot for three moxa cones. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain. Delivery will occur immediately after application.
Postpartum Taboos: Do not drink alcohol immediately, nor use alcohol to mix herbal powders. Alcohol scatters the Qi of the five zang organs and four limbs, leading to various diseases. All medicines should only be decocted with water.
Treats postpartum lochia retention, or retained placenta, where blood stasis attacks the heart and abdomen, causing chest and diaphragm fullness and oppression, or hard, distending, and cramping pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, as well as coma, blurred vision, and trismus due to postpartum blood stasis. (Also known as Wujin San / Black Gold Powder.)

Grind the above ingredients into powder. Take two qian per dose, decoct with half zhan of wine and half zhan of child's urine, and take mixed.
