To treat severe cardiac heat due to fright, resulting in loss of consciousness.
Cinnabaris (Zhusha), Borax (Pengsha), Natrii Sulfas Calcined (Yanxiao) (each 2.5 qian), Folium Aurum et Argenti (Jinyinbo) (each 5 pieces), Arsenolite (Hanshuishi) (5 qian), Borneolum Syntheticum (Naozi), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) (5 qian).
Grind the above into powder. Take 2 qian each time, decoct 20 seeds of Ophiopogonis Radix (Maimendong) with hearts removed, and take the decoction to mix with the powder.

To treat aversion to cold and fever accompanied by irritability, caused by cold pathogen affecting both exterior and interior; this formula yields immediate results. (See Formula Section: Cold Damage.)

To treat heat consumption leading to emaciation, vexing pain in the four limbs, mental restlessness, dry mouth, and anorexia.
Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (each 7.5 qian), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu) (rhizome removed), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maimendong) (heart removed), Cortex Lycii (Digupi), Poria cum Ligno Rubrum (Chifuling) (equal parts).
Cut the above into coarse fragments for dispersion. Take 4 qian each time, decoct with 1.5 sheng of water and 5 slices of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang), and take warm.

To treat nine types of heartache: 1. Gu pain, 2. Zhu pain, 3. Feng pain, 4. Ji pain, 5. Shi pain, 6. Yin pain, 7. Leng pain, 8. Re pain, 9. Migratory pain. It also treats chronic accumulation of cold qi flowing into the chest and heart causing pain. Furthermore, it treats counterflow of cold qi upwards, as well as conditions such as blood stasis from falling from horses or carts.
Metastachydii Radix (Yelangdu) (0.5 liang), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) (each 1 liang), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi) (processed, umbilical scar and skin removed, 3 liang), Evodiae Fructus (Zhuuyu) (1 liang, stir-fried), Crotonis Fructus (Badou) (de-oiled).
Grind the above into powder, blend with refined honey to make pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take one pill each time on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine. For sudden attack of evil qi causing abdominal distension and pain, and inability to speak, this is a miraculous formula.

To treat stabbing heartache due to blood stasis.
Take sufficient quantity of Corydalis Rhizoma (Yanhusuo), stir-fry on a new tile until slightly yellow but not burnt, grind into powder. Take 3 qian each time, decoct with one zhan of wine and drink, or take with rice water.

To treat long-standing accumulation of cold qi causing abdominal pain, radiating to both hypochondria, or upward striking the epigastrium causing stabbing pain. The attacks occur intermittently without fixed timing, accompanied by emaciation, reduced appetite, chronic non-healing, or vomiting. (See Formula Section: Deficiency and Damage.) Guiji Jianzhong Tang is also effective. (See Formula Section: Abdominal Pain.)

To treat stabbing pain in the umbilical and abdominal region, resulting in loss of consciousness; one dose stops it immediately. If used mistakenly for heart qi pain, it is incorrect.
Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), Trogopterori Faex (Wulingzhi), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong) (skin removed, each 5 qian).
Cut the above into coarse fragments for dispersion. Take 4 qian each time, decoct with one zhan of vinegar for one or two boils, then add one zhan of water, boil three more times, strain, and take warm on an empty stomach.
