蝎梢（去毒，一分） 茯神木（锉 炒，一两） 龙脑 薄荷（焙干，二两）
上为末。每服一二钱，温酒调，食后服。
治风湿寒，舌强不能语。
枯矾 桂心（各二分）
上为末。每用一钱，安舌下。或用正舌散治之。
治木舌肿满，口中气不得吐。
上用腊茶、陈白梅、巴豆七粒去壳，同捣如膏，薄荷水调稀，羽刷口中，得下咽，片时

以上药物研为细末。每次取一钱，置于舌下含化。或者使用正舌散进行治疗。
治疗木舌（舌体肿大满口），口中气息无法吐出。
上方药物配合腊茶、陈年白梅、巴豆七粒（去壳），共同捣烂如膏状，用薄荷水调稀，用羽毛刷涂抹口腔内，若能咽下，片刻后会出现腹泻。
又一方
取锅底黑灰（釜底煤）研匀，内外涂抹于舌上，许久后可平复。又一方法，用真蒲黄、海螵蛸研为细末。内外皆涂抹。
又一方法，治疗成人及小儿重舌（舌下肿起如双舌），肿胀隆起于舌下。
上方药物用朴硝研碎溶于水敷于咽喉外部，内部用成块的朴硝含化，待涎液流出后即可平复。另一方法，用地鳖虫与薄荷研取汁液，用丝绸包裹蘸取药汁擦拭舌部。蘸水去除。
治疗血热，舌体突然肿胀破溃。
上方药物用锅底黑灰加醋调匀，敷于舌上下，脱落后再敷。如果能先刺破出血排尽，再敷药效果更佳。一种方法，用盐等量调和。
治疗舌上生出白苔，干燥涩滞，说话声音不真切。
白蜜 薄荷自然汁（各等分）
先用生姜片蘸水擦拭清洗舌面，之后用朱砂、雄黄、硼砂、冰片、麝香研为细末敷于患处，效果良好。若未见效，再加玄明粉。
治疗热邪壅盛于舌上，出血如泉水涌出。
五倍子（洗净） 白胶香 牡蛎粉（各等分）
以上药物研为细末，每次取少许擦拭患处。或者烧红铁箅，在孔上烙烫止血。
To treat Wind-Cold injuring the Heart and Spleen, causing aversion to cold, fever, floating teeth, and swollen tongue. (Formula see Large Formula Section, Cold Damage Yang Syndrome Category.)
To treat stiff tongue root due to Stroke, difficulty in movement, and abnormal speech; miraculous efficacy.
Scorpion tail (remove toxicity, 1 fen) *Poria cocos* wood (crushed and stir-fried, 1 liang) Borneol Mint (baked dry, 2 liang)
Grind all into powder. Take 1-2 qian per dose, mix with warm wine, take after meals.
To treat swollen and ulcerated lips and tongue with sores, accompanied by irritability and thirst. (Formula see Small Formula Section, Rash and Pox Category.)
To treat stiffness of the tongue and inability to speak due to Wind-Dampness and Cold.
Alum Calcined Cinnamon heart (each 2 fen)
Grind all into powder. Use 1 qian each time, place under the tongue. Alternatively, use Zhengshe San to treat it.
To treat "Wood Tongue" (swollen tongue filling the mouth), where breath cannot be expelled from the mouth.
Take the above ingredients along with wax tea, aged white plum, and 7 seeds of Croton tiglium (Shelled), pound together into a paste. Dilute with Mint water, brush inside the mouth with a feather. If swallowed, diarrhea will occur after a while.
Another prescription
Grind soot from the bottom of the cauldron evenly, apply internally and externally on the tongue. After a long time, it will flatten. Another method: use true *Polygonum multiflorum* seed powder and cuttlefish bone powder. Apply both internally and externally.
Another method: To treat double tongue (swelling under the tongue resembling a second tongue) in adults and children.
Dissolve Mirabilite in water and apply externally to the throat. Internally, hold a solid piece in the mouth. When saliva flows out, the swelling subsides. Another method: grind ground beetle with Mint to extract juice, wrap in silk, and dip/swipe the tongue. Dip in water and remove.
To treat sudden swelling and ulceration of the tongue due to Blood Heat.
Apply soot from the bottom of the cauldron mixed with vinegar to the upper and lower parts of the tongue. Reapply when it falls off. It is even better if blood is first drained by pricking before application. One method: mix with equal parts of salt.
To treat white coating on the tongue, dryness and roughness, and unclear speech.
White honey Mint natural juice (equal parts)
First wipe and clean the tongue surface with ginger slices dipped in water. Then apply powder made from Cinnabar Realgar Borax Borneol Musk to the affected area for good effect. If ineffective, add Natrii Sulfas Exsiccatus.
To treat heat accumulation on the tongue causing bleeding like a spring.
Gallnut (washed) White rosin Oyster shell powder (equal parts)
Grind all into powder. Apply a small amount to the affected area. Alternatively, heat an iron grate and cauterize the hole.
