治脾胃怯弱，饮食过伤，留滞不化，遂成痢下，宜速进此药推导，更须斟酌受病深
增损丸数，还当逐尽积滞方佳。却徐徐补养之。（方见宿食门）
治协热下利，其色黄，烦躁多渴，脐腹疼痛，小便不利。
黄连（去须，四两） 茯苓（去皮，二两） 赤芍药（三两） 阿胶（蛤粉炒，一两）
上为细末，醋糊为丸，如梧桐子大，每服五十丸，空心食前，用米饮下。
治冷热不调，下痢赤白，日夜无度，腹痛不可忍者。

治热留肠胃，下痢纯血，脐腹 痛，或先经下痢未断服热药，蕴毒伏热，渗成血痢
治之。
乌梅肉（二两） 黄连（去须，三两） 当归（去芦） 枳壳（去瓤，麸炒。各一两）
上为细末，醋糊为丸，如梧桐子大，每服七十丸，空心食前，米饮送下。
治冷留肠胃，下痢纯白，腹痛不止。

治疗脾胃虚弱，饮食过度损伤，食物停滞不消化，从而形成痢疾下泄，应当迅速服用此药以推荡积滞，同时必须斟酌受病的深浅程度，增减丸药的剂量，直到将积滞彻底清除才好，然后再徐徐进行补养。（方剂见宿食门）

黄连（去除须根，六两） 阿胶（用蛤粉炒制） 当归（去除芦头，焙干，洗净。各三两） 干姜（炮制，二两）
以上药材研成细末，用醋煮米糊制作成丸药，大小如梧桐子，每次服用五十丸，可加至七十丸，空腹时，用米汤送服。
治疗风冷乘虚侵入肠胃，水谷不能消化，泄泻如水注下，脐腹部虚胀，肠鸣作痛，以及肠胃受湿气侵袭，排出豆羹汁样的粪便，或排出瘀血，日夜无节制，都适宜服用此药。（方剂见泄泻门）
治疗热邪留滞肠胃，下痢纯血，脐腹部疼痛，或者先前患有痢疾未愈又服用了热性药物，导致蕴毒伏热，渗透而成血痢，对此进行治疗。

Treats Spleen and Stomach deficiency and weakness, where excessive food intake causes injury, leading to stagnation and indigestion, eventually resulting in dysentery with purging. It is advisable to quickly administer this medicine to expel the stagnation. One must also carefully consider the depth of the pathogenic invasion to adjust the dosage of pills accordingly; it is best to completely eliminate the accumulated stagnation first, and then gradually nourish the body. Treats heat-collateral lower purging (Xie Re Xia Li), characterized by yellow stool, irritability, excessive thirst, pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, and difficult urination.
Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, remove stamens, 4 liang) Poria (Fuling, remove bark, 2 liang) Red Peony Root (Chishaoyao, 3 liang) Donkey-hide Gelatin (Ejiao, stir-fried with donkey-hide gelatin powder, 1 liang)
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with vinegar paste to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, before meals and on an empty stomach, swallowed with rice water.
Treats disharmony of cold and heat, with dysentery presenting red and white discharge, occurring day and night without restraint, and unbearable abdominal pain.
Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, remove stamens, 6 liang) Donkey-hide Gelatin (Ejiao, stir-fried with donkey-hide gelatin powder) Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, remove radix head, roast, wash. Each 3 liang) Dried Ginger (Ganjiang, processed, 2 liang)
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, boil rice paste with vinegar to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, increasing up to 70 pills, on an empty stomach, swallowed with rice water.
Treats wind-cold invading the intestines and stomach due to deficiency, causing failure to digest water and grain, watery diarrhea, emptiness and fullness in the umbilical and abdominal regions, borborygmus and pain. It also treats dampness affecting the intestines and stomach, discharging stool resembling bean curd soup juice, or passing blood clots, occurring day and night without restraint. Treats heat lingering in the intestines and stomach, with dysentery consisting purely of blood, and pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions. This applies to cases where previous dysentery was not cured, followed by the administration of hot-nature medicines, leading to accumulated toxins and latent heat, which seep into the blood causing bloody dysentery. Treat as follows:
Mume Fructus Flesh (Wumei Rou, 2 liang) Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, remove stamens, 3 liang) Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, remove radix head) Aurantii Fructus (Zhike, remove pith, stir-fried with bran. Each 1 liang)
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with vinegar paste to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 70 pills per dose, before meals and on an empty stomach, swallowed with rice water.
Treats cold lingering in the intestines and stomach, with dysentery consisting purely of white mucus, and unceasing abdominal pain.
