妇人有年老血崩者，其症亦与前血崩昏暗者同，人以为老妇之虚耳，谁知是不慎房帏之故乎！
方用加减当归补血汤。
当归（一两，酒洗） 黄 （一两，生用） 三七根末（三钱） 桑叶（十四片）
水煎服。二剂而血少止，四剂不再发。然必须断欲始除根，若再犯色欲未有不重病者也。夫补血汤乃气血两
补之神剂，三七根乃止血之圣药，加入桑叶者，所以滋肾之阴，又有收敛之妙耳。但老妇阴精既亏，用此方以止其
临时之漏，实有奇功，而不可责其永远之绩者，以补精之味尚少也。服此四剂后，再增入∶
白术（五钱） 熟地（一两） 山药（四钱） 麦冬（三钱） 北五味（一钱）
服百剂，则崩漏之根可尽除矣。
眉批∶亦有孀妇年老血崩者，必系气冲血室，原方加杭芍炭三钱，贯众炭三钱，极效。
歌括∶老妇血崩证同前，房帏不慎使之然。
必须断欲始除根，再起色欲证难痊。

有少妇甫娠三月，即便血崩，再胎亦随堕，人以为挫闪受伤而致，谁知是行房不慎之过哉！治法自当以补气为
主，而少佐以补血之品，斯为得之。
方用固气汤。
人参（一两） 白术（五钱，土炒） 大熟地（五钱，九蒸） 当归（三钱，酒洗） 白茯苓（二钱） 甘草（一
钱） 杜仲（三钱，炒黑） 山萸肉（二钱，蒸） 远志（一钱，去心） 五味子（十粒，炒）
水煎服，一剂而血止，连服十剂全愈。此方固气而兼补血。已去之血，可以速生，将脱之血，可以尽摄。凡气
虚而崩漏者，此方最可通治，非仅治小产之崩。其最妙者，不去止血，而止血之味，含于补气之中也。

治疗方剂用加减当归补血汤。
当归（一两，酒洗），黄芪（一两，生用），三七根末（三钱），桑叶（十四片）。
水煎服。服用两剂后出血减少并停止，服用四剂后不再复发。然而必须断绝性欲才能根治，如果再次犯色欲，没有不导致病情加重的。当归补血汤是气血双补的神效方剂，三七根是止血的圣药，加入桑叶，是为了滋养肾阴，又有收敛的功效。但是老年妇女阴精已经亏损，使用此方来制止临时的漏下，确实有奇效，但不能指望它永远奏效，因为补精的药物还比较少。服用这四剂后，再增加：
白术（五钱），熟地黄（一两），山药（四钱），麦冬（三钱），北五味子（一钱）。
服用一百剂，那么崩漏的病根就可以彻底除尽了。
眉批：也有寡妇年老时发生血崩的，必定是气冲血室，原方中加入杭芍炭三钱，贯众炭三钱，效果极佳。

年轻妇女刚怀孕三个月，就发生血崩，第二个胎儿也随之流产。人们以为是跌打损伤所致，哪里知道这是行房不慎的过错呢！治疗方法自然应当以补气为主，稍微佐以补血的药物，这才是得当的。
治疗方剂用固气汤。
人参（一两），白术（五钱，土炒），大熟地黄（五钱，九蒸），当归（三钱，酒洗），白茯苓（二钱），甘草（一钱），杜仲（三钱，炒黑），山萸肉（二钱，蒸），远志（一钱，去心），五味子（十粒，炒）。
水煎服，服用一剂后出血停止，连续服用十剂完全痊愈。此方既能固气又能兼补血液。已流失的血液，可以快速生成；将脱失的血液，可以全部摄纳。凡是气虚导致的崩漏，此方最可通用治疗，不仅仅是治疗小产引起的崩漏。其中最妙之处在于，不直接止血，而是将止血的药味蕴含在补气之中。
眉批：妊娠期应当避免房事，如果不避免，即使侥幸不发生崩漏往往也会堕胎，即使不堕胎，孩子出生后也难以抚养，务必谨慎！务必戒除！

There are women who suffer from metrorrhagia (uterine bleeding) in old age. Their symptoms are the same as those of metrorrhagia accompanied by dizziness and faintness mentioned earlier. People attribute it to the deficiency of elderly women, but who would know that it is actually caused by imprudent sexual intercourse!
The prescription used is Modified Danggui Buxue Decoction (Cinnamon Twig and Astragalus Decoction).
Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis (one tael, washed with wine), Huangqi Radix Astragali Membranacei (one tael, used raw), Sanqi Rhizoma Notoginseng powder (three qian), Sangye Folium Mori (fourteen leaves).
Decoct in water and take orally. After two doses, the bleeding decreases and stops; after four doses, it does not recur. However, one must abstain from sexual desire to eradicate the root cause. If sexual indulgence is resumed, the condition will inevitably worsen. Danggui Buxue Decoction is a miraculous agent for tonifying both Qi and Blood. Sanqi Rhizoma Notoginseng is a holy medicine for stopping bleeding. The addition of Sangye Folium Mori serves to nourish Kidney Yin and possesses astringent properties. Nevertheless, since the Yin essence of an elderly woman is already depleted, using this formula to stop temporary leakage indeed yields remarkable effects, but one cannot expect permanent results because the ingredients for tonifying essence are insufficient. After taking these four doses, add:
Baizhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (five qian), Shudihuang Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (one tael), Shanyao Rhizoma Dioscoreae Oppositae (four qian), Maidong Radix Ophiopogonis (three qian), Beiwuzi Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis (one qian).
Taking one hundred doses can completely eradicate the root of metrorrhagia and leukorrhea.
Commentary: There are also widows suffering from metrorrhagia in old age, which must be due to Qi rushing into the Blood Chamber. Add Hangshao Radix Paeoniae Rubra carbonized (three qian) and Guanzhong Herba Cyathiulae (three qian) to the original prescription for excellent efficacy.
Rhyme:
Metrorrhagia in old women follows the previous pattern,
Caused by imprudent sexual conduct.
Only by abstaining from desire can the root be removed,
Resuming lust makes recovery difficult.
Modified Danggui Buxue Decoction uses Danggui, Huangqi, Sanqi, and Sangye.
After four doses, add Maidong, Shudihuang, Baizhu, Shanyao, and Wuzhi.
Young women who have just conceived for three months may suffer from metrorrhagia, causing the second fetus to abort. People attribute this to physical trauma or strain, but who would know it is the fault of imprudent sexual intercourse during pregnancy! The treatment method should naturally focus on tonifying Qi, with a slight adjunct of blood-tonifying herbs, which is appropriate.
The prescription used is Guqi Tang (Qi-Securing Decoction).
Renshen Radix Ginseng (one tael), Baizhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (five qian, stir-fried with soil), Da Shudihuang Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (five qian, steamed nine times), Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis (three qian, washed with wine), BaiFuling Poria (two qian), Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis (one qian), Duzhong Cortex Eucommiae (three qian, stir-fried until black), Shanyurou Fructus Corni Officinalis (two qian, steamed), Yuanzhi Radix Polygalae (one qian, heart removed), Wuzizi Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis (ten grains, stir-fried).
Decoct in water and take orally. Bleeding stops after one dose; continuous use for ten doses leads to complete recovery. This formula secures Qi while simultaneously tonifying Blood. Lost blood can regenerate quickly, and impending loss of blood can be fully retained. For any metrorrhagia caused by Qi deficiency, this formula is most suitable for general treatment, not merely for metrorrhagia following spontaneous abortion. Its most ingenious aspect lies in not directly stopping bleeding, but embedding hemostatic herbs within the Qi-tonifying framework.
Commentary: Sexual activity should be avoided during pregnancy. If not avoided, even if miscarriage is luckily prevented, it often leads to abortion; even if the fetus is not aborted, the child born may be difficult to raise. Be cautious! Beware!
Rhyme:
Metrorrhagia occurs in the third month of pregnancy, mostly due to imprudent sexual conduct.
Use Guqi Tang (Qi-Securing Decoction); hemostasis is embedded within Qi tonification.
Guqi Tang contains Renshen, Baizhu, and Fuling; Shudihuang, Danggui, and stir-fried Duzhong.
Gancao, Yuanzhi, and Wuzizi, plus Shanyurou can stop metrorrhagia.
