巴豆（六个，去皮油） 天麻（二钱半） 胭脂（少许）
上将巴豆、天麻为末，滴水丸，如秫米大，胭脂为衣。一日一丸，二日二丸，三
日三丸。已外不解，先吃冷水一口，后用热水下。如人行十里，以热汤投之。
又一法
无药处可用两手指相交，紧扣脑后风府穴，向前礼百余拜，汗出自解。
又一法
适于无药处，初觉伤寒、伤食、伤酒、伤风，便服太和汤、百沸汤是，避风处先饮
以齑汁亦妙；以手揉肚，觉恍惚，更服半碗；又用手揉至恍惚，更服，以至厌饫，心无所容
川芎（一两半） 石膏（七钱半） 藜芦（半两，去土） 甘草（二钱半，生）
上为细末。口噙水，鼻内各嗅之，少时，吃白汤半碗，汗出解之。
解利一切伤寒。
川芎 本 苍术
上三件为细末。沸汤点三钱。须臾，觉呕逆便解；如不解，再服之。
上用醇酒二大碗，皂角一斤（去皮弦，捣碎），熬至一半，沸去滓，再用前汁，入银石器熬为
膏子。随痛处贴之。
天麻 细辛 半夏（以上各二两）
上用绢袋二个，各盛药三两，煮熟。交互熨痛处，汗出则愈。
治腰脚湿。
黑牵牛 大黄（各二两） 白术（一两）
上为细末，滴水丸，桐子大。每服三十丸，食前生姜汤下。如要快利，加至百丸。
治妇人赤白带下，月经不来。
枯白矾 蛇床子（以上各等份）
上为末，醋打面糊丸，如弹子大，以胭脂为衣。绵子裹，纳于阴户。如热极再换

将巴豆、天麻研为细末，滴入水制成丸剂，大小如黍米，用胭脂作为包衣。第一天服用一丸，第二天服用两丸，第三天服用三丸。如果服药后病邪仍未解除，先喝一口冷水，然后用热水送服。如果步行十里路，再用热汤冲服。
另一种方法
在没有药物的地方，可以用两手手指交叉，紧扣脑后的风府穴（位于后发际正中直上1寸，枕外隆凸直下凹陷处），向前行礼百余次，出汗后病自然解除。
又一种方法
恰好处于没有药物的地方，刚觉得是伤寒、伤食、伤酒或伤风时，就服用太和汤、百沸汤；或者先在避风处饮用醋汁也很好；用手揉肚子，感到头晕恍惚时，再服用半碗；继续用手揉至头晕恍惚，再次服用，直到饱胀难忍，心中感觉无所容纳为止。
川芎（一两半） 石膏（七钱半） 藜芦（半两，去土） 甘草（二钱半，生用）
以上药材研为细末。口中含漱清水，从鼻孔内嗅闻药粉，过一会儿，喝半碗白开水，出汗后病即解除。
治疗解利各种伤寒。
川芎 藁本 苍术
以上三味药研为细末。用沸水冲泡三钱。片刻之后，感到恶心呕吐则病自解；如果未解，再服用一次。
上面使用纯酒两大碗，皂角一斤（去皮和筋络，捣碎），熬制到剩下一半，沸腾后滤去渣滓，再用前面的药汁，放入银器或石器中熬成膏状。根据疼痛部位贴敷。
天麻 细辛 半夏（以上各二两）
上面使用两个绢袋，每个袋子盛装药物三两，煮熟。交替熨烫疼痛部位，出汗则痊愈。
治疗腰脚湿气重。
黑牵牛子 大黄（各二两） 白术（一两）
以上药材研为细末，滴入水制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三十丸，饭前用生姜汤送服。如果想要快速通利，可加量至一百丸。
治疗妇女赤白带下，月经不来潮。
枯白矾 蛇床子（以上各等份）
以上药材研为细末，用醋调和面粉做成糊状丸剂，大小如弹丸，用胭脂作为包衣。用棉球包裹，纳入阴道内。如果感觉极热，再更换。
Radix Crotonis (Badi Dou, six seeds, peeled and oil removed) Radix Gastrodiae (Tianma, two qian half) Carthami Flos (Yanzhi, a small amount)
Grind Radix Crotonis and Radix Gastrodiae into fine powder. Add water drop by drop to make pills, the size of millet grains. Coat with Carthami Flos. Take one pill on the first day, two pills on the second day, and three pills on the third day. If the pathogenic factor is not resolved after taking the medicine, drink a mouthful of cold water first, then swallow with hot water. After walking ten li, take with hot soup.
Another method
Where no medicine is available, cross both hands' fingers, press tightly against the Fengfu acupoint (GV16, located 1 cun directly above the posterior hairline, in the depression below the external occipital protuberance), bow forward more than a hundred times. Sweating will naturally resolve the condition.
Yet another method
When in a place without medicine, at the initial sensation of Cold Damage (Shanghan), food stagnation, alcohol injury, or wind injury, immediately take Taihe Tang or Baifei Tang; alternatively, drinking vinegar juice in a wind-sheltered place is also excellent; rub the abdomen with hands until feeling dizzy or trance-like, then take half a bowl again; continue rubbing until dizzy/trance-like, take again, until feeling overly full and uncomfortable in the heart.
Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong, one liang half) Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, seven qian half) Rhizoma Veratri (Lilu, half liang, cleaned of soil) Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao, two qian half, raw)
Grind the above into fine powder. Rinse the mouth with water, sniff the powder into each nostril. After a short while, drink half a bowl of plain boiled water. Sweating will resolve the condition.
To relieve all types of Cold Damage.
Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong) Rhizoma Ligustici Wallichii (Ben) Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Cangzhu)
Grind the above three ingredients into fine powder. Steep three qian in boiling water. Within a moment, nausea and vomiting will occur, resolving the condition; if not resolved, take again.
Take two large bowls of pure wine and one jin of Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojiao, peeled of skin and fibers, crushed). Boil until half remains. When boiling, remove dregs. Use this liquid again, boil in a silver or ceramic vessel into a paste. Apply according to the painful area.
Radix Gastrodiae (Tianma) Radix Asari (Xixin) Rhizoma Pinelliae (Banxia, two liang each for the above)
Place three liang of medicine in each of two silk bags. Cook thoroughly. Alternate applying heat packs to the painful areas. Sweating indicates recovery.
To treat dampness in the waist and legs.
Fructus Phyllanthi Nirurtae (Heiqianniu) Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang, two liang each) Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Baizhu, one liang)
Grind the above into fine powder. Add water drop by drop to make pills, the size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills each time before meals, swallowed with ginger soup. For rapid purgation, increase to one hundred pills.
To treat leukorrhea (red and white discharge) and amenorrhea in women.
Alumen (Kubai fan) Semen Cnidii (Shechuangzi, equal parts)
Grind into powder. Make pills using vinegar and wheat flour paste, the size of a quail egg. Coat with Carthami Flos. Wrap in cotton, insert into the vagina. Change if feeling extreme heat.
