[Original Text Processing]
**Recipe 1**
Galangal (*Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma*), White Cohosh Rhizome (*Bletillae Rhizoma*), Asphalt (all in equal parts).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Chew sesame seeds and boil with water to form a paste. Add cold water to set it. Wrap in red silk pieces, heat with a fire-iron to make a plaster. Apply to the sore.
**Another Formula**
Millennium Calcined Stone (*Duan Shi*), Madder Root (*Rubiae Radix*) (burned to ash).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with water and apply using a chicken feather brush.
**Indication:** Apply to all kinds of malignant sores.
**Recipe 2**
Asphalt, White Gelatin (*Bai Jiao*) (each one tael; in spring and autumn, use oil only; in summer, use half a tael each of oil and wax; in winter, use four qian each of oil and wax).
Melt the oil and wax first, then add asphalt and white gelatin. Stir evenly with locust branches. Filter through cotton seeds. Place in cold water and pull more than a thousand times. If the sore has penetrated, take several pills, or make a preparation to fill the sore cavity, which is also excellent. Spread on paper and apply. Do not roast over fire.
**Indication:** Treats Chancre (genital ulcer).
**Recipe 3**
Frankincense (*Resina Olibanum*), Myrrh (*Resina Myrrhae*), Calomel (*Hydrargyri Chloridum Corrosivum*), Red Lead (*Lithargyri Oxidum*), Dragon Bone (*Fossilia Ossis Mastodi*), Cuttlefish Bone (*Sepiae Endoconcha*), Coptis Rhizome (*Coptidis Rhizoma*), Scutellaria Root (*Scutellariae Radix*), Verdigris (*Aeris Acetatis Crystalli*) (all in equal parts), Musk (*Moschus*) (a small amount).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. First wash the area with warm fermented rice water, then apply the powder to the chancre sore.
**Alternative Application:**
Use the root of Dandelion (*Taraxaci Herba*) from the previous section, crush it, and apply to the injured area. Cover with a wheat flour plaster for great efficacy.
**Indication:** Treats Ding Sore (carbuncle/furuncle).
**Recipe 4**
Alum (*Alumen*), Red Lead (*Lithargyri Oxidum*) (four taels and two taels, respectively).
Melt the alum in a silver or stone vessel until liquid. Add the red lead and stir with a silver hairpin until it turns purple. Use mild and strong heat, ensuring it is neither too excessive nor insufficient. If there is a sore, first puncture the surrounding area, apply the medicine, and smear with saliva several times to keep it moist and prevent drying. This will cause the sore to suppurate and move, allowing the "ding" toxin to be extracted. The reddish color of the sore indicates efficacy. If the medicine is not yet ready, pound it again and stir-fry until purple.
**Recipe 5**
Raw Honey (*Mel*) and last year's green onion (*Allii Tuberosi Bulbus*), grind together into a paste.
First, prick the perimeter of the sore with bamboo needles. Then spread the sore medicine on the lesion, cover with red silk. After walking for twenty li, if the toxin emerges, wash with hot vinegar water.
**Indication:** Treats all types of Back Carbuncles and Ding Sores.
**Recipe 6**
Forsythia Fruit (*Forsythiae Fructus*) (one tael two qian), Astragalus Root (*Astragali Radix*) (one tael half), Magnolia Bark (*Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex*), Ligusticum Rhizome (*Chuanxiong Rhizoma*) (one tael each), Saposhnikovia Root (*Saposhnikoviae Radix*), Platycodon Root (*Platycodonis Radix*), Angelica Dahurica Root (*Angelicae Dahuricae Radix*), Peony Root (*Paeoniae Radix*), Cassia Twig (*Cinnamomi Ramulus*) (one tael each), Costus Root (*Aucklandiae Radix*) (three qian), Frankincense (*Resina Olibanum*) (three qian half), Angelica Sinensis Root (*Angelicae Sinensis Radix*) (half tael), Myrrh (*Resina Myrrhae*) (three qian), Licorice Root (*Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma*) (one tael).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take three qian per dose. Boil in one bowl of wine for three boils. Drink warm with the dregs. Apply as a plaster.
