Water Immersion Method: When practicing, raise both arms and hold the breath; this is the method of not sinking.
1. Face north and sit in a spread-legged posture (legs extended forward and apart, buttocks on the ground). Use both hands to grasp or pull the five toes of the feet. This can treat flaccidity of the muscles on the anterior thigh and stiffness of the tendons in the buttocks.
2. Sit in a spread-legged posture. Insert both hands from the bent calves to press against the ground, place the feet on the hands, and lift the buttocks. This movement can be used for circulating Qi. It can treat dribbling urination and breast pain.
3. Cross the feet behind the neck, press the hands against the ground, and lift the buttocks, holding the position until the breath reaches its limit, then cross the feet above the neck. This can treat abdominal distension and discomfort, eliminate internal parasites, benefit the five Zang organs, and refresh the Shen (Spirit).
4. Adopt a squatting posture. Use both hands to lift the feet, squatting to the limit with legs spread horizontally as much as possible. This treats swelling and pain in the abdomen caused by rushing Qi, cold hernia moving up and down, and helps to consolidate Kidney Qi.
5. Adopt a squatting posture. Use both hands to lift the five toes of the feet and bow the head as low as possible. This causes the Qi of the five Zang organs to gather in the head, treating deafness and blurred vision. Long-term practice can turn white hair black again.
6. Lie supine. Curl both hands into fists, hold the breath, and let the Qi flow along the legs to the heels, with the heels supporting on the bed. This treats Yin binding syndrome, numbness and flaccidity of the tendons and vessels, or spasms.
7. Withdraw both hands and press them against the armpits. This treats chest fullness, dizziness, and withered/weak hands.
8. Place the backs of the hands on the upper knees, look upward, and inhale like a turtle to draw in Qi. Guide the "Da Huang Yuan Qi" (Yuan Qi of the Middle Dantian) to the Dantian, eliminating pain in the waist and spine.
9. Quickly twist the nostrils with the thumbs, hold the breath, and guide the Qi upward to the Niwan Palace (brain). This aligns Yin and Yang with natural laws, resulting in resistance to fatigue.
10. Grasp the hair quickly with the left hand, and loop the right hand around the back of the neck to extend outwards. This is referred to as blood, vessels, and Qi returning to their roots. It closes the Qi of the Taiyang meridian, preventing Yin Qi from leaking outward. This is indeed an effective method for regulating Yin and Yang.
11. Sit upright with both hands crossed behind the back, named "Dai Fu" (Belt Binding). This treats constipation, promotes bowel movement, and cures emaciation due to deficiency. Sitting on the ground with hands crossed below, it treats fullness in the perineum.
12. Grasp the rope on the windlass with both hands and hang upside down, so that the feet are above the head. This treats dizziness and wind-epilepsy. Pull the rope backwards onto the back and suspend oneself. This treats dysfunction of the Spleen in the Middle Jiao and difficulty swallowing food. Hold the rope with one hand above and grasp the foot with the other hand below; this treats chronic hemorrhoids and swelling/pain in the coccyx area.
13. Sit on the ground, straighten both legs, and use both hands to cross-pull the feet, exerting maximum effort. This treats gastrointestinal inability to receive food and vomiting with rebellious Qi.
