Indicated for thirty-six types of wind pathogens and seventy-two kinds of qi disorders manifesting as upper heat and lower cold, pain in the waist and feet, weakness in the four limbs, excessive sleepiness, poor appetite, gradual emaciation and yellowing complexion, disfigured appearance, malignant sores, *xia zhu* (a type of infectious malignant sore), wind accumulation, and *pi qi kuai* (abdominal masses). It can be taken by both the elderly and children. It greatly tonifies essence, preserves youthfulness, disperses wind, and regulates qi.
Formula: *Cheqianzi* (Plantaginis Semen) (2.5 liang), *Binglang* (Arecae Semen), *Huomazi* (Hemp Seed) (lightly stir-fried, husked, and separately ground), *Niuxi* (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (soaked in wine for two nights), *Tusizi* (Cuscutae Semen) (steamed in wine, pounded into a cake, and sun-dried), *Zhiqiao* (Aurantii Fructus) (stir-fried with bran), *Yuliren* (Prunus Armeniacae Semen Amarum) (soaked in hot water, husked, and separately ground), *Shanyao* (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) (stir-fried with ginger juice, 2 liang each), *Fangfeng* (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (remove rhizome), *Duhuo* (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) (remove soil, 1 liang each), *Shanzhuyu* (Corni Fructus) (remove core, use pure flesh, 2 liang), *Dahuang* (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) (5.5 liang, half raw, half baked/stir-baked until charred).
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder, mix with refined honey, and make pills the size of *Wutong* (Chinese parasol tree) seeds. Take 30 pills per dose initially, gradually increasing to 40-50 pills. Administer with wine, tea, or rice gruel as desired, with no dietary restrictions. Take once on an empty stomach and once before bed. Long-term use eliminates accumulated stagnation in the intestines, strengthens spirit, prevents various diseases, clarifies hearing and vision, lightens the waist and feet, and makes the elderly appear younger. Pregnant women should not take this. If one feels slight movement in the viscera after taking the medicine, nourish with mutton lung soup. Additionally, it treats *chang feng* bleeding (hematochezia due to wind in the intestines), stroke paralysis, and slurred speech (*yan yu jian se*). It is effective for various diseases, especially suitable for the elderly.
In winter, for typical *shang han* (cold damage), strictly follow Zhang Zhongjing's treatment methods without alteration. However, for cases involving internal injury from raw/cold foods combined with external contraction of wind-cold, presenting with headache and fever, stiffness and tension in the shoulders and back, epigastric and abdominal fullness and obstruction, vomiting and regurgitation, aversion to wind, edema of the four limbs, alternating chills and fever, pain in the waist and knees, and irregular menstruation in women, *Shengliao Wuji San* (Raw Material Five Accumulations Powder) is appropriate.
Formula: *Chuanxiong* (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), *Danggui* (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), *Baishaoyao* (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (each 1 qian), *Zhiqiao* (Aurantii Fructus), *Mahuang* (Ephedrae Herba) (remove roots and joints), *Baizhi* (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), *Banxia* (Pinelliae Rhizoma) (each 1.2 qian), *Gancao* (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), *Ganjiang* (Zingiberis Rhizoma), *Jiegeng* (Platycodonis Radix), *Fuling* (Poria), *Chenpi* (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), *Guizhi* (Cinnamomi Ramulus - note: text says Guanni Gui/Official Cinnamon, often synonymous with Rougui/Guizhi contextually in formulas, here listed as Guanni Gui), *Nanpiao* (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex - note: text says Nongpu/Curtain Magnolia Bark, likely variant for Houpo/Magnolia Bark), *Cangzhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma) (1.5 qian), *Gancao* (Licorice Root) (0.5 qian). *Correction based on standard Wuji San composition*: The text lists "Nongpu" (likely *Houpo* / Magnolia Bark), "Guanni Gui" (likely *Rougui* or *Guizhi*), "Ganjiang", "Jiegeng", "Fuling", "Chenpi". Standard *Shengliao Wuji San* contains: *Chuanxiong*, *Danggui*, *Baishao*, *Fuzi* (sometimes omitted in 'raw' version but present in others, here absent), *Cangzhu*, *Gancao*, *Ganjiang*, *Guizhi/Rougui*, *Houpo*, *Jiegeng*, *Kucang* (not listed here explicitly but implied in some versions? No, text lists specific items). Let's stick strictly to text: *Chuanxiong*, *Danggui*, *Baishaoyao*, *Zhiqiao*, *Mahuang*, *Baizhi*, *Banxia*, *Nongpu* (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex), *Guanni Gui* (Cinnamomi Ramulus/Cortex), *Ganjiang*, *Jiegeng*, *Fuling*, *Chenpi*, *Cangzhu*, *Gancao*.
Decoct the above ingredients with 5 slices of fresh ginger and 2 stalks of scallion white in 2 zhong of water, boil down to 1 zhong, and take warm. Very effective.
For elderly patients with pain in hands and feet, add *Heshun Yuan San* (Harmonizing Smooth Origin Powder); for flaccidity of hands and feet due to wind, add *He Wuyao Pingqi San* (Harmonizing May Apple Regulating Qi Powder); for damp bi syndrome in the four limbs, add *He Wuyao Shunqi San* (Harmonizing May Apple Smoothing Qi Powder); for disease contracted due to dampness, add *He Bensu San* (Harmonizing Areca and Perilla Powder).
If wind-bi syndrome has already formed, add *Qianghuo* (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), *Duhuo* (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), and *Fangfeng* (Saposhnikoviae Radix). For women with irregular menstruation, add *Chaihu* (Bupleuri Radix) and *Sheng Dihuang* (Rehmanniae Radix).
