治膈消上焦燥渴。
人参（五钱） 石膏（一两二钱） 甘草（四钱） 知母（七钱） 东垣加黄芩、杏仁，每服一
两，水二盏，粳米一撮，煎服。
治烦渴口干。
麦门冬（去心） 人参 茯苓 黄 （半生半蜜炙） 乌梅（焙） 甘草（各二两）
栝蒌根 干葛（各一两五钱） 为末，蜜丸，弹子大，每服一丸，温水嚼下。
治中消。
黄连 粱米 栝蒌根 茯神（各四两） 知母 麦门冬（去心，各二两） 为末，用大
猪肚一个，洗净入药于内，以线缝口，置甑中炊烂，取出药，研以猪肚为膏，再入蜜搜
和前药，杵丸桐子大，每五十丸，人参汤下。一方加人参熟地，除知母、粱米，用小麦。
治失志伤肾，肾虚消渴，小便无度。

黄连 粱米 栝蒌根 茯神（各四两） 知母 麦门冬（去除心部，各二两） 研为细末，取一个大猪肚，洗净后将药物放入其中，用线缝合口，置于甑（蒸笼）中蒸烂，取出药物，研磨并与猪肚混合成膏状，再加入蜂蜜调和前药，捣杵制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，每次五十丸，用人参汤送服。另一配方加入人参、熟地黄，去除知母、粱米，改用小麦。
治疗因失志损伤肾脏，肾虚导致的消渴，小便无节制。

Treats Ge Xiao (Diabetes Mellitus characterized by upper jiao dryness and thirst), manifesting as upper jiao dryness and excessive thirst.
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 5 qian) Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 1 liang 2 qian) Gancao (Licorice Root, 4 qian) Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, 7 qian). Dongyuan (Li Dongyuan) suggested adding Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) and Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum). Take 1 liang per dose, with 2 zhan of water and a pinch of Jingsmi (Oryza Sativa Grain), decoct and take orally.
Treats vexatious thirst and dry mouth.
Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, heart removed) Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) Fuling (Poria) Huangqi (Astragali Radix, half raw, half honey-fried) Wumei (Mume Fructus, baked) Gancao (Licorice Root, each 2 liang)
Gualougen (Trichosanthis Radix) Gange (Puerariae Radix, each 1 liang 5 qian). Grind into fine powder, make pills with honey, size of a bullet, take one pill per dose, chew down with warm water.
Treats Zhong Xiao (Diabetes Mellitus characterized by middle jiao heat).
Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) Liangmi (Setaria Italica Grain) Gualougen (Trichosanthis Radix) Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, each 4 liang) Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, heart removed, each 2 liang). Grind into fine powder, take one large pig stomach, wash clean, put the medicine inside, sew the mouth with thread, place in a steamer and steam until soft. Take out the medicine, grind it and mix with the pig stomach to form a paste, then add honey to knead and mix with the previous medicine, pound into pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, swallow with Renshen Tang (Ginseng Decoction). Another prescription adds Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) and Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), removes Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) and Liangmi (Setaria Italica Grain), uses Xiaomai (Tritici Fructus).
Treats kidney injury due to loss of willpower, kidney deficiency causing Xiao Ke (wasting-thirst syndrome), and uncontrolled urination.
