**Acupoints for Hundred Diseases**
The acupoints for treating a hundred diseases require careful and repeated study. The Zonghui (General Meeting) point connects with the Yuzhen (Jade Pillow) point. To treat wind disorders, use Jinmen (Metal Gate), Xuanlu (Suspended Skull), and Hanyan (Lower Jaw Stop). For lateral headache, stop it between Qiangjian (Strong Intervertebral) and Fenglong (Abundant Abundance).
Originally, for facial swelling and flaccidity, one must seek the area before Shuigou (Water Ditch). For neck deafness and qi obstruction, rely entirely on Tinghui (Hearing Meeting) and Yifeng (Wind Screen). For the sensation of insects crawling on the face, Yingxiang (Welcome Fragrance) is effective and can be selected. For cicada-like ringing in the ears, Tinghui (Hearing Meeting) can be attacked. For dizziness, Zhizheng (Supporting Justice) and Feiyang (Flying Yang) are suitable. For yellow eyes, select Yanggang (Yang Ridge) and Danshu (Gallbladder Shu); for pterygium growing over the eye, attack Shaose (Small Pool) and Ganshu (Liver Shu). For tearing, puncture Linqi (Near Eye); at Touwei (Head Corner), if vision is blurred and indistinct, immediately seek Cuanzhu (Clustered Bamboo). At Sanjian (Three Interstices) and Yanmi (Eye Seeking) points, for acute conditions, urgently take Yanglao (Nourishing Old Age). Observe night blindness (Que Mu) via Tianzhu (Heavenly Pillar). Regarding Han Qi (Sweat Qi - *term unclear*), carefully deduce using Jingming (Bright Eyes) and Xingjian (Passing Between). For stiffness of the neck due to cold damage or warm pathogens, Qiuwei (Autumn Wei) and Qimen (Willow Gate) govern. For swelling and pain under the tongue, Lianquan (Spring of Liquids) and Zhongchong (Middle Peak) are indicated; Tianfu (Heavenly Mansion) and Hegu (Joining Valley) can be taken. For epistaxis (nosebleed), pursue Ermen (Ear Gate) and Sizhukong (Candlestick Hollow). To treat toothache instantly, Jiache (Jaw Joint) and Dicang (Earth Granary) stop oral issues within moments. For sore throat, remove it with Yemen (Liquid Gate) and Yuji (Fish Border). For muscle cramps, cure them with Jinmen (Metal Gate) and Qiuxu (Ankle Ruins). Xiaxi (Grotto Stream) and Yanggu (Yang Valley) treat both jaw swelling and lockjaw. Shaoshang (Lesser Shang) and Quze (Pool at the Crook) are applied together for blood deficiency and thirst. Tongtian (Reaching Heaven) treats nasal issues (*text unclear*). Fuliu (Full Flow) dispels dryness and removes the sorrow of mouth dryness. Yamens (Gate of Aphonia) and Guanchong (Channel Passing) are crucial for flaccid tongue and inability to speak. Tiantu (Heavenly Promontory) and Jianshi (Intercalated Vessel) treat aphonia and stuttering without delay. Taichong (Great Surge) drains the lips and mouth for rapid recovery. Chengjiang (Receiving Fluids) drains toothache for immediate relief. For neck stiffness with aversion to wind, Shugu (Bone Bundle) connects to Tianzhu (Heavenly Pillar). For febrile disease with no sweat, Dadu (Great Market) connects to Jingqu (River Channel).
As for numbness in both knees, Shaohai (Sea of Arm) is adjacent to Zusanli (Leg Three Li). For hemiplegia, Yanglingquan (Yang Ling Spring) reaches far to Quchi (Pool at the Crook). Jianli (Constructing Interior) and Neiguan (Inner Pass) sweep away bitterness in the chest. Tinghui (Hearing Meeting) and Pishu (Spleen Shu) dispel lingering sorrow in the heart region. It is well known that for hypochondriac pain, Qihu (Qi House) and Huagai (Qi Canopy) are effective. For abdominal borborygmus, Xiawan (Lower Stomach) and XianGu (Sunken Valley) can eliminate it. For fullness in the chest, hypochondrium, and limbs, why not examine Zhangmen (Chapter Door)? For diaphragmatic pain due to fluid retention that is hard to control, Zhongwan (Central Epigastrium) should be needled. For chest fullness accompanied by dysphagia, Zhongfu (Central Treasury) and Yishe (Intention Residence) are traversed. For blood stasis retained in the chest and diaphragm, Shenshu (Kidney Shu) and Juque (Great Palace - *text incomplete*) are appropriate. For chest fullness and neck stiffness, Shencang (Spirit Storage) and Xuanji (Mysterious Pivot) have been tested and connected. For lower back pain, Baihuan (White Ring) and Weizhong (Center of the Knee) connect to the Lu Meridian (*text unclear*). For spinal rigidity, Shuidao (Water Path) and Jinsuo (Tendon Lock) are used. For dizziness, Quanliao (Cheek Bone Hollow - *text incomplete*) and Daying (Great Reception) are indicated. Illnesses not involving the cranial fontanelle are not cured; umbilical wind is easily awakened by RanGu (Well Spring). Weiyang (Outer Yang) and Tianchi (Heavenly Pool) disperse axillary swelling quickly via needling. Houxi (Posterior Stream) and Huantiao (Jumping Circle) lighten leg pain upon needling. For nightmare restlessness, Lidui (Corner of the Mouth) harmonizes with Yinbai (Hidden White). For white hair and manic running, Shangwan (Upper Epigastrium) rises together with Shenmen (Spirit Gate). For palpitations and fright, select Yangjiao (Yang Intersection) and JieXi (Ankle Break); do not mistake convulsive opisthotonos and weeping, which rely on Tianchong (Heavenly Rush) and Daheng (Great Horizontal). For epilepsy, one must follow the command of Shen Zhu (Body Pillar) and Bingshen (Avoid Spirit). Fever relies on Shaochong (Lesser Peak) and Quchi (Pool at the Crook). For seasonal epidemics of heat, Tao Dao (Way of Pottery) seeks Zhongshu (*text unclear*). To manage recurrent wind epilepsy, Shendao (Spirit Path) must return to Xinshu (Heart Shu) to calm. To regulate cold and heat, [missing text] stabilizes jue cold. Yongquan (Gushing Spring) clears jue heat. Chills and aversion to cold are unblocked by Erjian (Second Interstice) and Yin [missing text]. Dark vexation and vomiting are opened by Youmen (Gate of the Kidney) and clarified by Yutang (Jade Hall). Xingjian (Passing Between) and Yongquan (Gushing Spring) govern kidney exhaustion in polydipsia. Yinlingquan (Yin Ling Spring) and Shufen (Water Division) remove edema and abdominal fullness. For consumption and corpse-transmission tuberculosis, seek the path of Pohu (Soul Guard) and Gānghuáng (Gall Bladder Huang). For evil invasion causing cholera, seek Yin Gu (Yin Valley) and Zusanli (Leg Three Li). To treat jaundice and eliminate yellowness, harmonize Houxi (Posterior Stream) and Laogong (Palace of Toil). For fatigue and excessive sleepiness, go to Tongtian (Reaching Heaven) and Dazhong (Great Mass) to clarify. For continuous coughing, Feishu (Lung Shu) must understand Tiantu (Heavenly Promontory). For red and scanty urination, Duanduan (End Point) alone drains. Needling Changqiang (Long Strength) and Chengshan (Supporting Mountain) of the Taiyang meridian effectively manages fresh blood from intestinal wind. Needling Sanyinjiao (Three Yin Intersection) and Qihai (Sea of Qi) specifically controls chronic leukorrhea and seminal emission.
Furthermore, Huangshu (Blind Shu) and Henggu (Horizontal Bone) drain long-standing accumulation of five types of strangury. Yin [missing text] and Houxi (Posterior Stream) treat long-term night sweats. For spleen deficiency leading to undigested food, seek Pishu (Spleen Shu) and Pangguangshu (Bladder Shu). For cold stomach and difficult digestion of food, Hunmen (Soul Gate) and Weishu (Stomach Shu) are sought. For nasal polyps, definitely select Yinjiao (Gum Intersection). For goiter, seek Fubai (Floating White), Dacun (Great Ton), and Zhaohai (Connecting Sea). For cold syndromes, Wuli (Five Miles) effectively dispels them. Arm [missing text] treats carbuncles and can [missing text]. Xinzhidi (Heart's End) and Wuyi (House Cover) treat pain from generalized itching. Shoulder [missing text] and Yangxi (Yang Stream) eliminate extreme heat from hidden rashes and wind spots.
Furthermore, regarding women whose menstrual cycles change, Dizhi (Earth Machine) and Xuehai (Sea of Blood) are available. For women with shortness of breath and leaking blood, Jiaoxin (Intersection Trust) and Heyang (Combined Yang) are indispensable. For leukorrhea and postpartum hemorrhage, Chongmen (Chong Pulse Gate) and Qichong (Qi Rush) should be examined. For irregular menstruation, Tianshu (Heavenly Pivot) and Shuiquan (Water Spring) should be detailed. Jianjing (Shoulder Well) is extremely effective for mastitis. Shangqiu (Shang丘) is best for hemorrhoids and fistulas. For rectal prolapse, seek Bairui (Hundred Tail) and [missing text]. For infertility, search Yinjiao (Yin Intersection) and Shiguan (Stone Gate). Zhongwan (Central Epigastrium) governs accumulated dysentery. Waixiu (Outer Mound) collects large intestine cold malaria; Shangyang (Lesser Yang) and Taixi (Great Stream) verify it. For mass formations, Chongmen (Chong Pulse Gate) and Xuehai (Sea of Blood) strengthen it. Medicine is the steward of human life; only those with great ambition can practice it. Acupuncture is the profound investigation of principles; it requires instruction from others. One must first investigate the source of the disease before attacking the acupoints. With every movement, merit is seen; with every needle, efficacy is achieved. Knowing the profundity of profound principles allows one to reach the wonder within wonders. This chapter does not cover everything but briefly lists its essentials.
