The acupoints of the Yin Linking Vessel (Yinwei Mai) begin at Zhubin (KI9), followed by Fushhe (SP13), Dahan (SP15), Fuai (ST18), Qimen (LR14), Tiantu (CV22), and finally Lianquan (CV23) at the root of the tongue. These points collectively maintain the Yin energy.
The Yin Linking Vessel originates from the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian; locate Zhubin (KI9) behind the medial malleolus. Fushhe (SP13) is located in the lower abdomen. Dahan (SP15) is level with the umbilicus, situated 3.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline. Moving upward, Fuai (ST18) is clearly visible below the nipple. Qimen (LR14) is located in the intercostal space directly below the nipple, in the second rib. Tiantu (CV22) is located one cun below the laryngeal prominence.
[Note] The Yin Linking Vessel originates at the intersection of all Yin meridians, specifically starting from the posterior aspect of the medial malleolus of the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian, ascending to the middle of the lower leg, named Zhubin (KI9). It intersects with the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian in the lower abdomen, 3.5 cun from the abdominal midline, which is Fushhe (SP13). Level with the umbilicus and 3.5 cun from the midline is Dahan (SP15). Moving further to two cun below the end of the second rib under the nipple is Fuai (ST18). Intersecting with the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian at the intercostal space below the nipple is Qimen (LR14). Intersecting with the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) in the depression one cun below the laryngeal prominence is Tiantu (CV22). Ascending from Tiantu, beneath the chin, above the larynx, centrally at the root of the tongue, lies Lianquan (CV23), where the Qi of the Yin Linking Vessel emerges.

If the left nostril is affected, moxa the right side; if the right, moxa the left; if both, moxa both. After moxibustion, a piece resembling rotten bone should be expelled from the nose, after which the disease heals spontaneously. They also treat cephalalgia due to wind and eye disorders. Shangxing (GV23) is suitable for needle insertion of 3 fen, retained for six breaths, or moxa 5 cones. Alternatively, bleeding with a three-edged needle is recommended to drain heat from the Yang meridians. Tongtian (BL3) is suitable for needle insertion of 3 fen, retained for seven breaths, or moxa 3 cones. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
