子气防己天仙藤（散）。
防己散 防己一钱，桑白皮、赤茯苓、紫苏各二钱，木香五分，姜煎服。治妊孕肿满喘促，小便不利。
天仙藤散 天仙藤（即青木香藤）、香附、乌药、陈皮、甘草各六分，姜煎入紫苏、木瓜各三片同煎，日
三服，肿消止药。治孕妇两足渐肿，以致喘闷，饮食不美，甚则脚指间有黄水出，名曰子气。
临产芎归黑神，来苏无忧横逆；
古芎归汤 川芎、当归各二钱，水煎，入酒温服。治胎前产后，腹痛体热，头痛诸疾，及男子一切去血
尤宜。如孕妇因事筑磕着胎，或子死腹中，恶露将下，疼痛不已。口噤欲绝者，用酒煎干，再入水煎一二沸，
灌以探之，若不损则痛止，子母俱安；若胎损，立便逐下；如难产倒横，子死腹中，先用黑豆炒熟，入白水、
童便各一盏，药四钱煎服；如胎产五七日不下，垂死及矮石女子交骨不开者，加龟版，并生育过妇人头发烧灰，
为末，每三钱，酒调服。
古黑神散 百草霜、白芷各等分为末，每二钱，水煎，入童便、米醋少许调服。治横生逆产瘦胎及胎前产后
虚损，月水不止，崩漏等症。
来苏散 木香、神曲、陈皮、麦芽、黄 、阿胶、白芍各一钱，苎根、甘草各三钱，糯米一合半，气弱加
生姜煎，HT 口灌之，连进为妙。治临产用力太过，气脉衰微，精神困倦，头眩目晕，口噤面青，发直，不省人
事。
无忧散 当归、川芎、白芍各一钱，枳壳五分，乳香、发灰各三分，木香、甘草各一分半，水煎服。治胎肥
气逆，或人瘦血少，胎弱临产难生。
催生三蜕六一，返魂兔脑神灵。
三蜕散 蛇蜕一条，蝉蜕十四枚，男子头发鸡蛋大，俱烧灰为末，分三服，酒调下，治横逆难产，子死腹中。
三蜕六一散 益元散一两，男子发一团（用香油熬化），蛇蜕一条，蝉蜕五枚，穿山甲二片，各烧存性，为末，
用齑水煎二沸，入发灰拌匀服之，催生神效。
返魂丹 即单益母膏丸 端午日采紫花方茎者，连根洗净，于石臼内捣烂，以布滤取浓汁，入砂锅属性
武火熬成膏如砂糖色为度，瓷罐收贮，每服一匙；或阴干，忌铁，为末，蜜丸弹子大。每服一丸，照后汤使下。
一方用益母草半斤，加当归、赤芍、木香各二两，为末，蜜丸梧子大。每五十丸，白汤下，名加味益母丸，服
百日有孕。催生用童便下；如胎前脐腹刺痛，胎动不安，下血不止，米饮或秦艽、当归煎汤下；胎前产后，脐
腹作痛作声，或寒热往来，状如疟疾者，米汤下；临产并产后，各先用一丸，童便入酒下。定魂魄，血气自然调
顺，诸病不生；又破血痛，养脉息，调经络，功效不能尽述。产后胎衣不下，落在胞中及临产一切产难，横生
不顺，死胎经日不下，胀满腹中，心闷心痛，炒盐汤下；产后中风，牙关紧急，半身不遂，失音不语，童便入
酒下；产后气喘咳嗽，胸膈不利，恶心口吐酸水，面目浮肿，两胁疼痛，举动失力者，温酒下；产后太阳穴痛，
呵欠心怔气短，肌体羸瘦，不思饮食，血风身热，手足顽麻，百节疼痛，温米饮下；产后眼前黑暗，血晕血热，
口渴烦闷，如见鬼神，不省人事，薄荷自然汁或薄荷煎汤下，或童便、酒各半下；产后面垢颜赤，五心烦热，
或结血块，脐腹奔痛，时发寒热，有冷汗者，童便入酒或薄荷汤下；产后恶露结滞，脐腹刺痛，恶物上冲，心胸满
闷及产后未经盈月，血气不通，咳嗽四肢无力，临睡自汗不止，月水不调，久而不治，则为骨蒸之疾，或鼻衄
口干舌黑，俱童便入酒下；产后二便不通，烦躁口苦，薄荷汤下；产后痢疾，米汤下；产后漏血，枣汤下；产
后赤白带，胶艾汤下；血崩漏下，糯米汤下；勒乳痛，或成痈，为末，水调涂乳上，一宿自瘥，或生捣敷亦好；
妇人久无子，温酒下，服至一月，决有效验。
兔脑丸 腊月兔脑髓一枚，鼠内肾、母丁香、益母草各一钱，乳香一分，麝香一字，为末，兔髓或兔血和丸
芡实大，朱砂为衣，油纸封固阴干，每一丸，破水后醋汤或赤小豆煎汤下，即产，随男左女右手握药出是验。
凡产难日久水干，服黑神涩药又多，最宜兔脑滑之；仓卒以兔皮毛烧灰，酒调服方寸匕亦好，又能下胞衣。
龟壳散 龟壳一个，生过男女妇人头发一握，烧存性，川芎、当归各一两，为末。每三钱，水煎服，良久，
生胎死胎俱下。治产五七日不下，垂死及矮石女子交骨不开。
死胎霹雳如圣，
霹雳丹 蛇蜕一条，蚕蜕二钱，男子发、路上左脚草鞋各一钱，各烧存性，乳香五分，黑铅二钱半，水银
七分半，为末，用 猪心血和丸如梧子大，金银箔七片为衣。每二丸，倒流水灌下，或入伏龙肝调下，上着儿
头戴出为妙。治临产蓦然气痿，目翻口噤，面黑唇青，口中沫出，子母俱损，两脸微红，子死母活。
如圣膏 巴豆十六个，蓖麻子四十九个，麝香二钱，共捣如泥，摊绢帛上。如胎死腹中，贴脐上一时，
产下实时揭去；如胞衣不下，贴脚心，胞衣下即洗去，若稍迟肠便出，即以此膏涂项上即入。
古桂香丸 肉桂一两，麝香一钱，为末，饭丸绿豆大。每十五丸，小儿七丸，白汤下。治大人、小儿过食
瓜果，腹胀气急。一方减桂五钱，加斑蝥一钱半，善下死胎。
胎衣夺命流形。
夺命丹 大黄、附子、牡丹皮，干漆各等分，醋煮大黄，膏为丸梧子大。每十五丸至二十丸，温酒下。治
产后血入胞衣，胀满冲心，久而不下；或去血过多，肺气喘促，先取鞋底炙热熨小腹，次进此药。
夺命丸 牡丹皮、桃仁、茯苓、赤芍、桂心各等分为末，蜜丸弹子大。每一丸，醋汤化下，或葱白煎浓汤
下尤妙，连进两丸，胎死腐烂立出。
产后补虚，当归羊肉内灸 ；
补虚汤 人参、白术各一钱，当归、川芎、黄 、陈皮各五分，甘草三分，姜煎服。治产后一切杂病，只
大补气血为主。如热轻者，倍加茯苓渗之；热甚者，加炒黑干姜，引药入肝分生血，又能利肺气，与补阴药同
意；曾误服热药及热食者，少加酒芩暂服。
人参当归散 当归、熟地、白芍、人参、麦门冬、肉桂各一钱，先以粳米一合，淡竹叶十片，水二盏，煎
至一盏，去米竹，入前药并姜枣煎，温服。治产后去血过多，血虚则内热，心胸烦满，吸吸短气，自汗头痛
闷乱，晡时转甚。
当归羊肉汤 人参，当归各七钱，黄 一两，生姜五钱，用羊肉一斤，或代以猪腰，煮清汁五盏，去肉，
入前药煎作六服，早晚频进。治产后发热自汗，肢体疼痛，名曰褥劳。
羊肉汤 精羯羊肉二两，当归、陈皮各一两，生姜五钱，水煎入酒调服，加葱、盐亦可。治产后腹中虚痛，
气血不足，羸弱力倦及冬月生产、寒气入于产门，脐下胀满，此寒疝也。
内灸散 藿香叶、丁香皮、茴香、肉桂、熟地各一两半，甘草，白术、当归、山药、白芷各八两， 本、
干姜、川芎、黄 、白芍、木香各一两，陈皮四两，每三钱，姜、艾煎服；或为末，温酒调服。治胎前产后，
一切血瘕、血崩虚惫，腹胁疼痛，气逆呕吐，冷气凝积，块硬刺痛，泄下青白或下五色，腹中虚鸣，气满坚硬，
沥血腰疼，口吐清水，频产血衰，颜色青黄，劳伤劣
弱，月经不调，下血堕胎，血迷血晕血瘕，时发疼痛，头目眩晕，恶血冲心，闷绝昏迷，恶露不止，体虚戾汗，
手足逆冷等症。如产后下血过多，加蒲黄；恶露不净，加当归、红花；呕，加生姜；上热下冷，加荆芥。
丸 良姜、姜黄、荜澄茄、陈皮、莪术、人参；三棱各等分为末，用萝卜煮烂捣汁，煮糊丸梧子大。
每五十丸，萝卜煎汤下。治产后血气衰弱，饮食停积，口干烦闷，心下痞痛。
产后血晕，四味七珍清魂调经
仓公散 瓜蒂、藜芦、白矾、雄黄等分为末。每用少许吹鼻嚏，内服白薇汤。治产后血厥而冒。
四味散 当归、玄胡索、血竭、没药各五分，童便煎服。治产后一切诸疾，才方分娩宜服。如心膈寒，
倍当归；气闷喘急，倍玄胡索；恶露不快，倍血竭；心腹痛甚，倍没药。
七珍散 川芎、人参、菖蒲、生地各一两，防风、辰砂各五钱，细辛一钱，为末。每一钱，薄荷煎汤调服。治
产后虚弱，多致停积，败血闭于心窍，神志不明，又心气通于舌，心气闭塞，则舌亦强矣，故令不语。
宁神膏 辰砂、乳香各五钱，酸枣仁、人参、茯苓各一两，琥珀七钱半，为末，灯心、枣子煎汤调服一钱；
或蜜丸弹子大，薄荷煎汤化服一丸。治失血过多，心神昏闷，言语失常，不得睡卧。
清魂散 荆芥四两，川芎二两，泽兰叶、人参各一两，甘草八钱，为末。每二钱，热汤、温酒各半调停灌
下。治产后血晕，昏不知人。
单荆芥散 一味焙干为末。每二钱，黑豆淬酒调服。治产后中风，牙关紧急，手足螈 。或麻油灯上烧焦，
童便调服，治崩中不止。
古荆归汤 荆芥、当归身、尾各等分为末。每服三钱，黑豆淬酒调服，或童子小便亦可，口噤者HT 开灌之，
或吹鼻中皆效。一方用蜜丸，或面糊丸如梧桐子大，每服五七十丸，空心米饮下。治产后中风，不省人事，
口噤牙关紧急，手足螈 ，如角弓状，口吐涎沫；亦治血晕，四肢强直；或筑心眼倒，吐泻欲死，宜此清神气，
通血脉，其效如神。
大调经散 大豆一两半（炒去皮），茯神一两，琥珀一钱，为末。每三钱，浓煎乌头紫苏汤调服。治产后
血虚，恶露未消，秽气未平，败浊凝滞，荣卫不调，阴阳相乘，憎寒发热，自汗肿满。
白薇黑龙，郁冒汗多便秘；
白薇汤 白薇、当归各六钱，人参三钱，甘草一钱半，分二帖水煎服。治产后胃弱不食，脉微多汗，亡血
发厥，郁冒等症。
黑龙丹 当归、川芎、生地、良姜、五灵脂各二钱，细锉，俱入砂罐子内，纸筋盐泥固济，火 通红，
候冷取出，入百草霜一两，硫黄、乳香各二钱，琥珀、花蕊石各一钱，为末，醋糊丸弹子大。每三丸，炭火
令通红，投入生姜自然汁内浸碎之，以童便合酒灌服。治难产或胎衣不下，产后血晕，妄言见鬼及血崩恶露
不止，腹痛血肿，血风身热，头痛类疟，一切危症服之神效。
桂心木槟，血凝气滞心疼。
桂心汤 桂心、小草、吴萸、干姜、独活、熟地、当归、白芍各一钱，甘草、细辛各三分，水煎服。治素
有宿寒，因产大虚，寒搏于血，血凝不散，上冲心之络脉，故作心痛。
木槟汤 木香、槟榔、玄胡索、金铃子、三棱、莪术、浓朴、桔梗、川芎、当归、白芍、黄芩、甘草各等
分，水煎服。治产后七情感伤，血与气并心痛。
恶露不断，乌金调酒或牡蛎；
乌金散 麒麟竭、百草霜、男子乱发灰、松墨 醋、鲤鱼鳞烧灰、玄胡索、肉桂、当归、赤芍各等分为末。
每二钱，空心温酒下。治产后败血不止，淋沥不断，脐腹疼痛，头目昏眩无力。
牡蛎散 牡蛎粉、川芎、熟地、茯苓、龙骨各二钱，续断、当归、艾叶、人参、五味子、地榆
各一钱，甘草五分，分二帖，姜、枣煎空心服。治产后恶露淋沥不断，心闷短气，四肢乏弱，不思饮食，头目昏
重，五心烦热，面黄体瘦。
冷热诸淋，白茅为君共茯苓。
白茅汤 白茅根五钱，瞿麦、白茯苓各三钱半，葵子、人参各一钱一分半，蒲黄、桃胶、滑石、半夏各七
钱半，甘草五分，紫贝一个 ，石首鱼脑砂二个 ，分二帖，姜三片，灯心二十根，水煎服，或为末，每二钱，
木通煎汤下；如气壅、木通、橘皮煎汤下。治产后诸淋，无问冷、热、膏、石、气等淋。
气塞少乳漏芦散，
漏芦二两半，蛇蜕 十条，栝蒌实十个（ 存性），为末，每二钱，酒调服，仍食热羹汤助之。治妇人肥
盛，气脉壅塞，乳汁不行，或经络凝滞，乳内胀痛；或作痈肿，将欲成脓者。
气滞少乳涌泉名。
涌泉散 瞿麦、麦门冬、王不留行、龙骨、穿山甲等分为末。每一钱，热酒下，先食猪悬蹄羹，后服此药，
服后以梳刮左右乳房。
又方 王不留行、白丁香、漏芦、天花粉、僵蚕等分为末，猪悬蹄煮汁下。兼治乳胀痛及乳痈肿。
噫！妇性最险而鸷，阴道易亏难成。
幼科未载《素问》，扁鹊始称儿医，夹惊夹积是主，出麻出痘尤奇。
儿病与大科相同，惟百病多夹惊积，与出麻痘为异耳。
惊则利之凉之温之，辰砂龙脑救急；
利惊丸 天竺黄、滑石各一钱半，牛黄、南星、半夏、轻粉各一钱，天麻、朱砂、青黛韭地蚯蚓粪各三钱，
白附子、雄黄、山楂各二钱半，蝉蜕、全蝎、僵蚕各七枚，甘草、巴霜各五分，麝香八分，金箔三十片，为末，
面糊丸，萝卜子大，分作五处，用金箔、朱砂、滑石、青黛、雄黄各为衣。每一岁到三岁，服五丸；五岁至
九岁，服七丸；十岁至十三岁，服十丸。诸惊风，薄荷煎汤下，痰多用滑石为衣的，食疾用雄黄为衣的，余症白
水下。治急惊风症，并二十四惊，水泻痢疾，痰火腹胀，食积诸般杂症，服之有积则行，有惊则利，服后宜服
启脾散。
子气（妊娠期间出现的双足肿胀）需预防，使用防己散或天仙藤散。
防己散：由防己一钱、桑白皮、赤茯苓、紫苏各二钱、木香五分组成，用生姜煎服。治疗妊娠期身体浮肿胀满、气喘急促、小便不利。
天仙藤散：由天仙藤（即青木香的藤蔓）、香附、乌药、陈皮、甘草各六分组成，用生姜煎煮，加入紫苏叶三片、木瓜三片同煎，每日服用三次，待肿胀消退即停药。治疗孕妇双足逐渐肿胀，以致气喘胸闷，饮食不佳，严重时脚趾间有黄水流出，这种病症称为“子气”。
临产时可用芎归汤、黑神散、来苏散、无忧散等方剂，以应对胎位横逆难产等情况。
古芎归汤：由川芎、当归各二钱组成，用水煎煮，加入温酒服用。治疗产前产后腹痛、身体发热、头痛等各种疾病，以及男子各种失血症状尤为适宜。如果孕妇因外力撞击伤及胎儿，或胎儿死于腹中，恶露即将下行但疼痛不止，甚至牙关紧闭、气息微弱欲绝者，用酒煎干后，再加水煎煮一二沸，灌服以试探病情；若胎儿未损，则疼痛停止，母子平安；若胎儿已损，则立即排出死胎；如遇到难产、胎位倒置横生、胎儿死于腹中，先用黑豆炒熟，加入白水、童子尿各一盏，药四钱煎服；如胎儿产出后五七日仍未娩出，产妇垂危及身材矮小女子交骨不开者，加龟板，并加入生育过的妇人头发烧成的灰，每次三钱，用酒调服。
古黑神散：由百草霜、白芷各等分研为末，每次二钱，用水煎煮，加入少许童子尿、米醋调服。治疗横生逆产、瘦胎及产前产后虚损、月经不止、崩漏等症状。
来苏散：由木香、神曲、陈皮、麦芽、黄芪、阿胶、白芍各一钱，苎麻根、甘草各三钱，糯米一合半组成，气弱者加生姜煎煮，口噤者撬开灌服，连续服用效果更佳。治疗临产用力过度，导致气脉衰微，精神困倦，头晕目眩，牙关紧闭面色发青，头发直立，不省人事。
无忧散：由当归、川芎、白芍各一钱，枳壳五分，乳香、发灰各三分，木香、甘草各一分半组成，用水煎服。治疗胎体肥大、气机上逆，或人体瘦弱、血液不足、胎儿虚弱导致临产难生。
催生可使用三蜕散、六一散（益元散），返魂丹、兔脑丸也有神灵之效。
三蜕散：由蛇蜕一条、蝉蜕十四枚、男子头发鸡蛋大小一块，全部烧成灰研为末，分三次服用，用酒调下。治疗横逆难产、胎儿死于腹中。
三蜕六一散：由益元散一两、男子头发一团（用香油熬化）、蛇蜕一条、蝉蜕五枚、穿山甲二片，全部烧至存性，研为末，用酸菜水煎煮两沸，加入发灰拌匀服用，催生产效如神。
返魂丹：即单味益母草膏丸。在端午日采集紫花、方茎的益母草，连根洗净，在石臼内捣烂，用布过滤取浓汁，放入砂锅中用武火熬成如砂糖颜色的膏状，装入瓷罐保存。每次服用一匙；或阴干，忌接触铁器，研为末，用蜜制成弹子大小的丸剂。每次服用一丸，按照后面的汤剂送服。另一配方用益母草半斤，加当归、赤芍、木香各二两，研为末，蜜制梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次五十丸，用白开水送服，名为加味益母丸，服用百日可受孕。催产时用童子尿送服；如产前脐腹刺痛，胎动不安，下血不止，用米饮或秦艽、当归煎汤送服；产前产后，脐腹作痛有声，或寒热往来，状如疟疾者，用米汤送服；临产及产后，各先用一丸，童子尿加酒送服。能定魂魄，使血气自然调顺，诸病不生；又能破血止痛，养脉息，调经络，功效难以尽述。产后胎盘不下，落在胞宫中及临产一切难产、横生不顺、死胎多日不下，腹胀满，心闷心痛，用炒盐汤送服；产后中风，牙关紧急，半身不遂，失音不语，用童子尿加酒送服；产后气喘咳嗽，胸膈不利，恶心口吐酸水，面目浮肿，两胁疼痛，举动无力者，用温酒送服；产后太阳穴痛，呵欠心悸气短，肌体消瘦，不思饮食，血风身热，手足麻木，全身关节疼痛，用温米饮送服；产后眼前黑暗，血晕血热，口渴烦闷，如见鬼神，不省人事，用薄荷自然汁或薄荷煎汤送服，或用童便、酒各半送服；产后面色垢腻颜红，五心烦热，或有结血块，脐腹奔痛，时发寒热，有冷汗者，用童子尿加酒或薄荷汤送服；产后恶露结滞，脐腹刺痛，恶物上冲，心胸满闷及产后未满一月，血气不通，咳嗽四肢无力，临睡自汗不止，月经不调，久治不愈，则成为骨蒸劳热之疾，或鼻衄口干舌黑，均用童子尿加酒送服；产后二便不通，烦躁口苦，用薄荷汤送服；产后痢疾，用米汤送服；产后漏血，用枣汤送服；产后赤白带下，用胶艾汤送服；血崩漏下，用糯米汤送服；乳房胀痛，或已成痈肿，研为末，用水调涂乳房上，一夜自愈，或生捣敷贴也好；妇人久无子嗣，用温酒送服，服用至一个月，必定有效验。
兔脑丸：腊月兔脑髓一枚，鼠内肾、母丁香、益母草各一钱，乳香一分，麝香一字，研为末，用兔髓或兔血和丸如芡实大小，朱砂为衣，油纸封固阴干。每一丸，破水后用醋汤或赤小豆煎汤送服，即可分娩，随男左女右手握药出来即为验证。凡是产程日久羊水干涸，服用黑神散等涩药过多，最宜用兔脑丸润滑；仓促之间可将兔皮毛烧成灰，用酒调服一方寸匕也好，又能促使胎盘排出。
龟壳散：龟壳一个，生过男女的妇人头发一握，烧至存性，川芎、当归各一两，研为末。每次三钱，用水煎服，过一会儿，活胎死胎均可排出。治疗产期五七日未下，产妇垂危及身材矮小女子交骨不开。
霹雳丹：由蛇蜕一条、蚕蜕二钱、男子头发、路上左脚草鞋各一钱，全部烧至存性，乳香五分，黑铅二钱半，水银七分半，研为末，用猪心血和丸如梧桐子大小，金银箔七片为衣。每次二丸，倒流水灌下，或加入伏龙肝调下，最好戴在头上让药力上行。治疗临产突然气虚衰竭，眼球上翻，牙关紧闭，面色黑唇青，口中流沫，子母俱损，两脸微红，胎儿死而母亲活。
如圣膏：巴豆十六个，蓖麻子四十九个，麝香二钱，共同捣如泥状，摊在绢帛上。如胎儿死于腹中，贴于脐上一时辰，胎儿产出后立即揭去；如胎盘不下，贴于脚心，胎盘下来后即洗去，若稍迟肠子脱出，即用此膏涂于颈部即可收回。
古桂香丸：肉桂一两，麝香一钱，研为末，饭丸绿豆大小。每次十五丸，小儿七丸，用白开水送服。治疗大人、小儿过食瓜果，腹胀气急。另一配方减去肉桂五钱，加斑蝥一钱半，善于排出死胎。
夺命丹：大黄、附子、牡丹皮、干漆各等分，醋煮大黄，制成膏状丸如梧桐子大小。每次十五丸至二十丸，用温酒送服。治疗产后血入胞衣，胀满冲心，久而不下；或失血过多，肺气喘促，先取鞋底炙热熨烫小腹，再进此药。
夺命丸：牡丹皮、桃仁、茯苓、赤芍、桂心各等分研为末，蜜丸弹子大小。每一丸，用醋汤化开送服，或用葱白煎浓汤送服尤妙，连续服用两丸，死胎腐烂立出。
补虚汤：人参、白术各一钱，当归、川芎、黄芪、陈皮各五分，甘草三分，用生姜煎服。治疗产后一切杂病，以大补气血为主。如热轻者，加倍加茯苓渗湿；热甚者，加炒黑干姜，引药入肝分生血，又能利肺气，与补阴药意旨相同；曾误服热药及热食者，少加酒芩暂时服用。
人参当归散：当归、熟地、白芍、人参、麦门冬、肉桂各一钱，先用粳米一合，淡竹叶十片，水二盏，煎至一盏，去米竹，加入前药并姜枣煎煮，温服。治疗产后失血过多，血虚则内热，心胸烦满，呼吸短促，自汗头痛闷乱，傍晚时分加重。
当归羊肉汤：人参、当归各七钱，黄芪一两，生姜五钱，用羊肉一斤，或代以猪腰，煮清汁五盏，去肉，加入前药煎作六服，早晚频服。治疗产后发热自汗，肢体疼痛，名为褥劳。
羊肉汤：精羯羊肉二两，当归、陈皮各一两，生姜五钱，水煎加入酒调服，加葱、盐亦可。治疗产后腹中虚痛，气血不足，羸弱力倦及冬季生产，寒气侵入产门，脐下胀满，此为寒疝。
内灸散：藿香叶、丁香皮、茴香、肉桂、熟地各一两半，甘草、白术、当归、山药、白芷各八两，本、干姜、川芎、黄芪、白芍、木香各一两，陈皮四两，每次三钱，姜、艾煎服；或为末，温酒调服。治疗产前产后，一切血瘕、血崩虚惫，腹胁疼痛，气逆呕吐，冷气凝积，块硬刺痛，泄下青白或下五色，腹中虚鸣，气满坚硬，沥血腰疼，口吐清水，频产血衰，颜色青黄，劳伤劣弱，月经不调，下血堕胎，血迷血晕血瘕，时发疼痛，头目眩晕，恶血冲心，闷绝昏迷，恶露不止，体虚戾汗，手足逆冷等症状。如产后下血过多，加蒲黄；恶露不净，加当归、红花；呕吐，加生姜；上热下冷，加荆芥。
某丸：良姜、姜黄、荜澄茄、陈皮、莪术、人参、三棱各等分研为末，用萝卜煮烂捣汁，煮糊丸梧桐子大小。每次五十丸，萝卜煎汤送服。治疗产后血气衰弱，饮食停积，口干烦闷，心下痞痛。
仓公散：瓜蒂、藜芦、白矾、雄黄等分研为末。每次用少许吹鼻引起喷嚏，内服白薇汤。治疗产后血厥而冒。
四味散：当归、玄胡索、血竭、没药各五分，用童子尿煎服。治疗产后一切诸疾，刚分娩宜服。如心膈寒，倍加当归；气闷喘急，倍加玄胡索；恶露不快，倍加血竭；心腹痛甚，倍加没药。
七珍散：川芎、人参、菖蒲、生地各一两，防风、辰砂各五钱，细辛一钱，研为末。每次一钱，薄荷煎汤调服。治疗产后虚弱，多致停积，败血闭于心窍，神志不明，又心气通于舌，心气闭塞，则舌亦强矣，故令不语。
宁神膏：辰砂、乳香各五钱，酸枣仁、人参、茯苓各一两，琥珀七钱半，研为末，灯心、枣子煎汤调服一钱；或蜜丸弹子大小，薄荷煎汤化服一丸。治疗失血过多，心神昏闷，言语失常，不得睡卧。
清魂散：荆芥四两，川芎二两，泽兰叶、人参各一两，甘草八钱，研为末。每次二钱，热汤、温酒各半调停灌下。治疗产后血晕，昏不知人。
单荆芥散：一味焙干为末。每次二钱，黑豆淬酒调服。治疗产后中风，牙关紧急，手足抽搐。或在麻油灯上烧焦，用童子尿调服，治疗崩中不止。
古荆归汤：荆芥、当归身、尾各等分研为末。每次服三钱，黑豆淬酒调服，或童子小便亦可，口噤者撬开灌之，或吹鼻中皆效。另一配方用蜜丸，或面糊丸如梧桐子大小，每次服五七十丸，空心米饮下。治疗产后中风，不省人事，口噤牙关紧急，手足抽搐，如角弓状，口吐涎沫；亦治血晕，四肢强直；或撞眼倒仆，吐泻欲死，宜此清神气，通血脉，其效如神。
大调经散：大豆一两半（炒去皮），茯神一两，琥珀一钱，研为末。每次三钱，浓煎乌头紫苏汤调服。治疗产后血虚，恶露未消，秽气未平，败浊凝滞，荣卫不调，阴阳相乘，憎寒发热，自汗肿满。
白薇汤：白薇、当归各六钱，人参三钱，甘草一钱半，分二帖水煎服。治疗产后胃弱不食，脉微多汗，亡血发厥，郁冒等症状。
黑龙丹：当归、川芎、生地、良姜、五灵脂各二钱，细锉，俱入砂罐子内，纸筋盐泥固济，火烧通红，候冷取出，入百草霜一两，硫黄、乳香各二钱，琥珀、花蕊石各一钱，研为末，醋糊丸弹子大小。每次三丸，炭火令通红，投入生姜自然汁内浸碎之，以童便合酒灌服。治疗难产或胎衣不下，产后血晕，妄言见鬼及血崩恶露不止，腹痛血肿，血风身热，头痛类疟，一切危症服之神效。
桂心汤：桂心、小草、吴萸、干姜、独活、熟地、当归、白芍各一钱，甘草、细辛各三分，水煎服。治疗素有宿寒，因产大虚，寒搏于血，血凝不散，上冲心之络脉，故作心痛。
木槟汤：木香、槟榔、玄胡索、金铃子、三棱、莪术、浓朴、桔梗、川芎、当归、白芍、黄芩、甘草各等分，水煎服。治疗产后七情感伤，血与气并心痛。
乌金散：麒麟竭、百草霜、男子乱发灰、松墨醋、鲤鱼鳞烧灰、玄胡索、肉桂、当归、赤芍各等分研为末。每次二钱，空心温酒下。治疗产后败血不止，淋沥不断，脐腹疼痛，头目昏眩无力。
牡蛎散：牡蛎粉、川芎、熟地、茯苓、龙骨各二钱，续断、当归、艾叶、人参、五味子、地榆各一钱，甘草五分，分二帖，姜、枣煎空心服。治疗产后恶露淋沥不断，心闷短气，四肢乏弱，不思饮食，头目昏重，五心烦热，面黄体瘦。
白茅汤：白茅根五钱，瞿麦、白茯苓各三钱半，葵子、人参各一钱一分半，蒲黄、桃胶、滑石、半夏各七钱半，甘草五分，紫贝一个，石首鱼脑砂二个，分二帖，姜三片，灯心二十根，水煎服，或为末，每二钱，木通煎汤下；如气壅、木通、橘皮煎汤下。治疗产后诸淋，无问冷、热、膏、石、气等淋。
漏芦散：漏芦二两半，蛇蜕十条，栝蒌实十个（存性），研为末，每二钱，酒调服，仍食热羹汤助之。治疗妇人肥盛，气脉壅塞，乳汁不行，或经络凝滞，乳内胀痛；或作痈肿，将欲成脓者。
涌泉散：瞿麦、麦门冬、王不留行、龙骨、穿山甲等分研为末。每一钱，热酒下，先食猪悬蹄羹，后服此药，服后以梳刮左右乳房。
又方：王不留行、白丁香、漏芦、天花粉、僵蚕等分研为末，猪悬蹄煮汁下。兼治乳胀痛及乳痈肿。
唉！妇人性情最为险恶而凶猛，阴道易亏难成。
儿科未载入《素问》，扁鹊始称儿医，夹惊夹积是主，出麻出痘尤奇。
儿病与大科相同，惟百病多夹惊积，与出麻痘为异耳。
利惊丸：天竺黄、滑石各一钱半，牛黄、南星、半夏、轻粉各一钱，天麻、朱砂、青黛韭地蚯蚓粪各三钱，白附子、雄黄、山楂各二钱半，蝉蜕、全蝎、僵蚕各七枚，甘草、巴霜各五分，麝香八分，金箔三十片，研为末，面糊丸，萝卜子大小，分作五处，用金箔、朱砂、滑石、青黛、雄黄各为衣。每一岁到三岁，服五丸；五岁至九岁，服七丸；十岁至十三岁，服十丸。诸惊风，薄荷煎汤下，痰多用滑石为衣的，食疾用雄黄为衣的，余症白水下。治疗急惊风症，并二十四惊，水泻痢疾，痰火腹胀，食积诸般杂症，服之有积则行，有惊则利，服后宜服启脾散。
Ziqi (lower limb edema in late pregnancy) should be prevented using Fangji San or Tianxianteng San.
Fangji San: Composed of 1 qian of Paeoniae Radix Alba (Fangji), 2 qian each of Morus Alba Cortex (Sangbaipi), Red Poria (Chifuling), and Perilla Leaf (Zisu), and 0.5 qian of Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang). Decoct with ginger and take orally. It treats abdominal distension, panting, and dysuria during pregnancy.
Tianxianteng San: Composed of 0.6 fen each of Aristolochia Vine (Tianxianteng, i.e., the vine of Aristolochia Manshuriensis), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu), Lindera Root (Wuyao), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), and Licorice Root (Gancao). Decoct with ginger, add three slices of Perilla Leaf (Zisu) and three slices of Quince (Mugua), and decoct together. Take three times daily; stop medication when swelling subsides. It treats progressive swelling of both feet in pregnant women, leading to chest tightness and panting, poor appetite, and in severe cases, yellow fluid exuding from between the toes. This condition is called "Ziqi."
At parturition, formulas such as Xionggui Heishen San, Laisu San, and Wuyou San can be used to address dystocia, malpresentation, and retained dead fetus.
Ancient Xionggui Tang: Composed of 2 qian each of Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong) and Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui). Decoct with water, add warm wine, and take orally. It treats abdominal pain, fever, headache, and other ailments before and after childbirth, and is particularly suitable for various hemorrhagic conditions in men. If a pregnant woman suffers fetal injury due to external trauma, or if the fetus dies in the uterus with lochia about to discharge but pain persists, even to the point of jaw lock and fainting, first dry-fry the medicine with wine, then add water, boil for one or two minutes, and administer to probe the condition. If the fetus is intact, pain ceases, and mother and child are safe; if the fetus is damaged, it will be expelled immediately. For dystocia with transverse or breech presentation and intrauterine fetal death, first fry black soybeans until cooked, add one cup of clear water and one cup of child's urine, decoct with 4 qian of the medicine, and take. If the fetus or placenta is not delivered within five to seven days postpartum, or in cases of critical condition and narrow pelvic outlet in short-statured women, add Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Guiban) and ash from hair of women who have given birth. Take 3 qian mixed with wine.
Ancient Heishen San: Composed of equal parts of Fuligo Sequoiae (Baicaoshuang) and Angelica Dahurica Radix (Baizhi) powdered. Take 2 qian, decoct with water, and mix with a small amount of child's urine and rice vinegar. It treats transverse or breech presentation, thin fetus, deficiency before and after childbirth, menorrhagia, and metrorrhagia.
Laisu San: Composed of 1 qian each of Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang), Massae Fermentatae Medicinalis (Shenqu), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), Hordeum Vulgare Germinatum (Maiya), Astragali Membranaceus Radix (Huangqi), Donkey-hide Gelatin (Ejiao), and White Peony Root (Baishao); 3 qian each of Ramie Root (Zhugen) and Licorice Root (Gancao); and 1.5 he of glutinous rice. Add ginger for decoction if qi is weak. Administer via oral drenching; continuous administration is ideal. It treats excessive exertion during labor leading to qi and blood collapse, mental fatigue, dizziness, jaw lock with cyanotic face, erect hair, and unconsciousness.
Wuyou San: Composed of 1 qian each of Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), and White Peony Root (Baishao); 0.5 qian of Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhiqiao); 0.3 fen each of Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang) and Hair Ash (Fahui); and 0.15 fen each of Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang) and Licorice Root (Gancao). Decoct with water and take. It treats large fetus with rebellious qi, or thin constitution with blood deficiency causing difficult labor due to fetal weakness.
For induction, Santui San, Liuyi San (specifically Santui Liuyi San here), Fanhun Dan, and Tunaon Wan are effective.
Santui San: Composed of one snake skin (Shetui), fourteen cicada sloughs (Chantui), and an amount of male hair equivalent to an egg size. All are calcined to ash and powdered. Divide into three doses, taken with wine. It treats transverse dystocia and intrauterine fetal death.
Santui Liuyi San: Take 1 liang of Yiyuan San, one ball of male hair (melted in sesame oil), one snake skin (Shetui), five cicada sloughs (Chantui), and two pieces of Pangolin Scales (Chuanshanjia). Calcine until retaining properties, powder them, boil in pickled vegetable water for two boils, mix in hair ash, and take. It has miraculous effects in inducing labor.
Fanhun Dan: Also known as Single Motherwort Paste Pill. Collect Motherwort Herb (Yimucao) with purple flowers and square stems on the Dragon Boat Festival, wash clean including roots, pound in a stone mortar, filter thick juice through cloth, and simmer in a clay pot over high heat until it becomes a paste resembling brown sugar color. Store in a porcelain jar. Take one spoon per dose; or dry in shade, avoid iron, powder, and form pills the size of弹子 with honey. Take one pill at a time, administered according to the decoctions listed below. Another formula uses half a jin of Motherwort Herb, plus 2 liang each of Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Red Peony Root (Chishao), and Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang). Powder and form pills the size of wutong seeds with honey. Take 50 pills with plain water, named Jiawei Yimu Wan; taking it for 100 days may lead to pregnancy. For induction, use child's urine; for prenatal umbilical/abdominal stabbing pain, restless fetus, and persistent bleeding, use rice drink or decoction of Gentiana Macrophylla Radix (Qinjiao) and Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui); for prenatal/postnatal abdominal pain with sounds, or alternating chills and fever resembling malaria, use rice soup; for labor and postpartum, take one pill first with child's urine and wine. It stabilizes the soul, naturally regulates qi and blood, prevents diseases, breaks blood stasis, stops pain, nourishes vessels, and regulates meridians. Its efficacy cannot be fully described. For retained placenta, placenta remaining in the uterus, dystocia, transverse presentation, dead fetus not expelled for days, abdominal distension, chest oppression, and heart pain, take with fried salt water. For postpartum wind-stroke with jaw lock, hemiplegia, aphasia, take with child's urine and wine. For postpartum asthma, cough, chest discomfort, nausea, vomiting acid, facial edema, hypochondriac pain, and weakness, take with warm wine. For postpartum temporal headache, yawning, palpitations, shortness of breath, emaciation, anorexia, blood-wind fever, numbness of hands and feet, and joint pain, take with warm rice drink. For postpartum visual obscurity, blood syncope, blood heat, thirst, irritability, hallucinations, and unconsciousness, take with fresh mint juice or mint decoction, or half child's urine and half wine. For postparture dirty complexion, red face, five-palm heat, blood clots, colic, intermittent chills/fever, and cold sweat, take with child's urine and wine or mint tea. For postpartum lochia stagnation, stabbing abdominal pain, rising foul matter, chest fullness, and postpartum qi/blood blockage within one month, cough, limb weakness, night sweats, irregular menstruation, which if untreated becomes bone-steaming consumption, epistaxis, dry mouth, or black tongue, take with child's urine and wine. For postpartum urinary/fecal retention, irritability, bitter taste, take with mint tea. For postpartum dysentery, take with rice soup. For postpartum leakage bleeding, take with jujube soup. For postpartum leukorrhea (red and white), take with Jiao'ai Tang. For metrorrhagia, take with glutinous rice soup. For engorged breasts or abscesses, powder and apply with water overnight for cure, or apply fresh paste. For female infertility, take with warm wine for one month for guaranteed effect.
Tunaon Wan: In the twelfth lunar month, take one rabbit brain marrow, 1 qian each of mouse kidney, Mother-of-Ginger (Mudingxiang), and Motherwort Herb (Yimucao), 0.1 fen of Frankincense (Ruxiang), and a pinch of Moschus (Shexiang). Powder them, mix with rabbit marrow or blood to form pills the size of euryale seed, coat with Cinnabar (Zhusha), seal in oiled paper, and dry in shade. Take one pill after membrane rupture with vinegar water or adzuki bean decoction for immediate delivery. Verification: the medicine comes out holding in the left hand for boys and right hand for girls. For prolonged dystocia with dried amniotic fluid and excessive use of astringent Heishen San, Rabbit Brain Pill is best for lubrication. In emergencies, burn rabbit fur/hair, mix with wine, and take one cun bi; it also expels the placenta.
Guikesh San: One turtle shell, a handful of hair from women who have borne sons and daughters, calcined to retain properties, plus 1 liang each of Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong) and Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui). Powder. Take 3 qian, decoct with water. After a while, living or dead fetus will be expelled. Treats failure to deliver after 5-7 days, critical condition, and unclosed pubic symphysis in short women.
Dead fetus can be treated with Pili Dan and Rusheng Gao.
Pili Dan: One snake skin (Shetui), 2 qian silkworm slough (Cantui), 1 qian each of male hair and left straw sandal from road, all calcined to retain properties; 0.5 fen of Frankincense (Ruxiang); 2.5 qian of Lead (Qian); 0.75 fen of Mercury (Shuiyin). Powder, mix with pig heart blood to form pills the size of wutong seeds, coat with seven pieces of gold/silver foil. Take two pills with inverted flowing water or mixed with Longgu (Fulonggan). Ideally, place on the infant's head to draw out efficacy. Treats sudden qi collapse during labor, eye rolling, jaw lock, black face, blue lips, foaming at mouth, damage to both mother and fetus, slightly red cheeks, indicating fetal death with maternal survival.
Rusheng Gao: 16 Croton Seeds (Badou), 49 Castor Beans (Bimazi), 2 qian of Moschus (Shexiang). Pound into paste, spread on silk. If fetus is dead in uterus, apply to navel for one shichen; remove immediately after delivery. If placenta is retained, apply to sole of foot; wash off immediately after expulsion. If delayed, intestines may prolapse; apply this paste to the neck to retract them.
Ancient Guixiang Wan: 1 liang of Cinnamon Twig (Rougui), 1 qian of Moschus (Shexiang). Powder, form pills the size of mung beans with rice paste. Take 15 pills for adults, 7 for children, with plain water. Treats abdominal distension and rapid breathing from overeating fruits/vegetables. Another formula reduces Rougui by 5 qian and adds 1.5 qian of Mylabris (Banmao) to effectively expel dead fetus.
Retained placenta can be treated with Duoming Dan and Liuxing San.
Duoming Dan: Equal parts of Rhubarb (Dahuang), Aconite Root (Fuzi), Moutan Bark (Mudanpi), and Drynaria Rhizome (Ganxi - *Note: Ganxi usually refers to Cinnamon Heart, but context implies Ganxi/Drynaria or similar blood-breaking herb, text says Ganxi*). Simmer Dahuang in vinegar, make paste pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 15-20 pills with warm wine. Treats postpartum blood entering the placental sac, causing distension rushing to the heart, retained for long periods; or excessive blood loss with lung qi panting. First, heat a shoe sole and apply to lower abdomen, then administer this medicine.
Duoming Wan: Equal parts of Moutan Bark (Mudanpi), Peach Kernel (Taoren), Poria (Fuling), Red Peony Root (Chishao), and Cinnamon Heart (Guixin). Powder, form pills the size of彈子 with honey. Take one pill dissolved in vinegar water, or preferably with strong scallion white decoction. Continue for two pills; rotten dead fetus will be expelled immediately.
Postpartum deficiency can be supplemented with Danggui Yangrou Tang and Neijiu San.
Buxu Tang: 1 qian each of Ginseng (Renshen) and Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu); 0.5 qian each of Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Astragali Membranaceus Radix (Huangqi), and Tangerine Peel (Chenpi); 0.3 fen of Licorice Root (Gancao). Decoct with ginger. Treats all miscellaneous postpartum diseases, focusing on greatly tonifying qi and blood. For mild heat, double Fuling to drain dampness; for severe heat, add stir-fried black Ginger (Ganjiang) to guide medicine into Liver meridian to generate blood and benefit Lung qi, consistent with yin-tonifying intent; if hot medicines/foods were mistakenly taken, add small amount of Wine-processed Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) temporarily.
Renshen Danggui San: 1 qian each of Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shudi), White Peony Root (Baishao), Ginseng (Renshen), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maidong), and Cinnamon Twig (Rougui). First decoct 1 he of Japonica Rice (Jingmi) and 10 leaves of Lophatherum Herb (Danzhuye) in 2 zhan of water until reduced to 1 zhan. Remove rice and leaves, add previous herbs, ginger, and jujube, decoct, and take warm. Treats excessive postpartum blood loss leading to blood deficiency internal heat, chest/heart fullness, shallow breathing, spontaneous sweating, headache, mental restlessness, worsening in the afternoon.
Danggui Yangrou Tang: 7 qian each of Ginseng (Renshen) and Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui); 1 liang of Astragali Membranaceus Radix (Huangqi); 5 qian of Fresh Ginger (Shengjiang). Use 1 jin of mutton (or substitute pork kidney), boil to obtain 5 zhan of clear broth. Remove meat, add previous herbs, decoct into 6 doses. Take frequently morning and evening. Treats postpartum fever, spontaneous sweating, limb pain, known as "Ru Lao" (postpartum debility).
Yangrou Tang: 2 liang of castrated ram mutton, 1 liang each of Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui) and Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), 5 qian of Fresh Ginger (Shengjiang). Decoct with water, mix with wine. Adding scallion and salt is also acceptable. Treats postpartum abdominal deficiency pain, qi/blood insufficiency, emaciation, fatigue, and winter production where cold evil enters the birth canal causing umbilical/lower abdominal distension, known as Cold Hernia (Hanshan).
Neijiu San: 1.5 liang each of Agastache Leaf (Huoxiangye), Clove Bud (Dingpi), Fennel Fruit (Huixiang), Cinnamon Twig (Rougui), and Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shudi); 8 liang each of Licorice Root (Gancao), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu), Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Chinese Yam (Shanyao), and Angelica Dahurica Radix (Baizhi); 1 liang each of Libanotis Root (Ben), Dried Ginger (Ganjiang), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Astragali Membranaceus Radix (Huangqi), White Peony Root (Baishao), and Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang); 4 liang of Tangerine Peel (Chenpi). Take 3 qian, decoct with ginger and Mugwort (Aiji). Or powder and take with warm wine. Treats pre/postnatal blood masses, metrorrhagia with exhaustion, abdominal/hypochondriac pain, rebellious qi/vomiting, cold qi accumulation, hard painful masses, diarrhea of green/white/five colors, abdominal rumbling/distension, bloody lower back pain, spitting clear water, blood depletion from frequent births, sallow complexion,劳伤 (labor injury) weakness, irregular menstruation, bleeding/miscarriage, blood confusion/syncope/masses, intermittent pain, dizziness, evil blood rushing to heart, coma, persistent lochia, deficiency sweating, cold extremities. Add Polygonum Multiflorum Vine (Puhuang) for excessive bleeding; add Danggui and Safflower (Honghua) for incomplete lochia; add Ginger (Shengjiang) for vomiting; add Schizonepeta Spike (Jingjie) for upper heat/lower cold.
Unnamed Pill: Equal parts of Lesser Galangal (Liangjiang), Turmeric (Jianghuang), Long Pepper Fruit (Bidengqie), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), Curcuma Rhizome (Ezhu), Ginseng (Renshen), and Burreed Tuber (Sanleng). Powder, mix with boiled radish juice/paste to form wutong-sized pills. Take 50 pills with radish decoction. Treats postpartum qi/blood weakness, food stagnation, dry mouth/irritability, epigastric fullness/pain.
Postpartum blood syncope can be treated with Siwei San, Shizhen San, Qinghun San, and Diao Jing San.
Canggong San: Equal parts of Melon Tip (Gua Di), Veratrum Nigrum Rhizome (Lilu), Alum (Baifan), and Realgar (Xionghuang). Powder. Blow a small amount into nose to induce sneezing; internally take Baiwei Tang. Treats postpartum blood jue and syncope.
Siwei San: 0.5 fen each of Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Corydalis Rhizome (Yanhusuo), Dragon's Blood (Xuexie), and Myrrh (Moyao). Decoct with child's urine. Treats all postpartum diseases; suitable just after delivery. For heart/chest cold, double Danggui; for chest tightness/panting, double Yanhusuo; for slow lochia, double Xuexie; for severe heart/abdominal pain, double Moyao.
Shizhen San: 1 liang each of Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Ginseng (Renshen), Acorus Tatarinowii Rhizome (Changpu), and Raw Rehmannia Root (Shengdi); 5 qian each of Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng) and Cinnabar (Chensha); 1 qian of Asarum Root (Xixin). Powder. Take 1 qian mixed with mint decoction. Treats postpartum weakness leading to stagnation,敗血 (failed blood) blocking heart orifices, unclear spirit. Since heart qi connects to the tongue, heart qi blockage causes tongue stiffness and muteness.
Ningshen Gao: 5 qian each of Cinnabar (Chensha) and Frankincense (Ruxiang); 1 liang each of Sour Jujube Seed (Suanzaoren), Ginseng (Renshen), and Poria (Fuling); 7.5 qian of Amber (Hupo). Powder. Mix with Dengxin (Juncus effusus) and jujube decoction, take 1 qian; or form彈子-sized pills with honey, dissolve one pill in mint decoction. Treats excessive blood loss, mental cloudiness, abnormal speech, insomnia.
Qinghun San: 4 liang of Schizonepeta Spike (Jingjie), 2 liang of Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), 1 liang each of Lysimachiae Herba (Zelan Ye) and Ginseng (Renshen), 8 qian of Licorice Root (Gancao). Powder. Take 2 qian mixed with half hot water and half warm wine. Treats postpartum blood syncope, unconsciousness.
Dan Jingjie San: Roast Jingjie until dry, powder. Take 2 qian mixed with wine quenched with black soybeans. Treats postpartum wind-stroke, jaw lock, convulsions. Alternatively, burn charred on sesame oil lamp, mix with child's urine, treat metrorrhagia.
Ancient Jinggui Tang: Equal parts of Schizonepeta Spike (Jingjie), Angelica Sinensis Radix Body (Danggui Shen), and Tail (Danggui Wei). Powder. Take 3 qian mixed with wine quenched with black soybeans, or child's urine. Pry open mouth for administration if jaw locked, or blow into nose. Effective. Another formula forms pills with honey or flour paste, wutong seed size. Take 50-70 pills fasting with rice drink. Treats postpartum wind-stroke, unconsciousness, jaw lock, convulsions like opisthotonos, foaming; also blood syncope, limb rigidity; or falling/dizziness, vomiting/diarrhea near death. Clears spirit, unites blood vessels, miraculous effect.
Da Diao Jing San: 1.5 liang Soybean (Daydou, stir-fried peeled), 1 liang Fu Shen, 1 qian Amber (Hupo). Powder. Take 3 qian mixed with strong decoction of Aconite Root (Wutou) and Perilla Leaf (Zisu). Treats postpartum blood deficiency, unresolved lochia, lingering turbid qi, stagnant敗血, disharmony of Ying/Wei, Yin/Yang conflict, aversion to cold/fever, spontaneous sweating, edema.
Baiwei Tang and Heilong Dan treat Yu Mao (depression/syncope), excessive sweating, constipation.
Baiwei Tang: 6 qian each of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Baiwei) and Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui); 3 qian of Ginseng (Renshen); 1.5 qian of Licorice Root (Gancao). Decoct in water, divide into two doses. Treats postpartum weak stomach/anorexia, thready pulse, excessive sweating, blood loss jue, Yu Mao.
Heilong Dan: 2 qian each of Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Raw Rehmannia Root (Shengdi), Lesser Galangal (Liangjiang), and Trogopterus Dung (Wulingzhi). Finely chop, place in clay pot, seal with paper-clay-salt mixture, fire until red hot, cool, add 1 liang Fuligo Sequoiae (Baicaoshuang), 2 qian each of Sulfur (Liuhuang) and Frankincense (Ruxiang), 1 qian each of Amber (Hupo) and Flower Coral Stone (Huaruishi). Powder, form彈子-sized pills with vinegar paste. Take 3 pills, roast on charcoal until red hot, crush in fresh ginger juice, mix with child's urine and wine. Treats dystocia, retained placenta, postpartum blood syncope, delirium/hallucinations, metrorrhagia/lochia persistence, abdominal pain/swelling, blood-wind fever, malaria-like headache, all critical conditions with miraculous effect.
Guixin Tang and Mubing Tang treat heart pain from blood coagulation and qi stagnation.
Guixin Tang: 1 qian each of Cinnamon Heart (Guixin), Smaller Grass (Xiaocao), Evodia Fruit (Wuyu), Dried Ginger (Ganjiang), Angelica Pubescens Root (Duhuo), Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shudi), Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), White Peony Root (Baishao); 0.3 fen each of Licorice Root (Gancao) and Asarum Root (Xixin). Decoct with water. Treats chronic cold exacerbated by postpartum deficiency, cold binding blood, blood coagulation not dispersing, rushing up to heart collaterals causing heart pain.
Mubing Tang: Equal parts of Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang), Areca Seed (Binglang), Corydalis Rhizome (Yanhusuo), Chaenomeles Fruit (Jinlingzi), Burreed Tuber (Sanleng), Curcuma Rhizome (Ezhu), Magnolia Bark (Houpo), Platycodon Root (Jiegeng), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), White Peony Root (Baishao), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin), Licorice Root (Gancao). Decoct with water. Treats postpartum emotional injury causing qi/blood aggregation and heart pain.
Persistent lochia can be treated with Wu Jin San, Tiaojiu San, or Muli San.
Wu Jin San: Equal parts of Dragon's Blood (Qilinjie), Fuligo Sequoiae (Baicaoshuang), Male Hair Ash (Nanzi Luanghui), Pine Ink (Songmo, ground with vinegar), Carp Scale Ash (Liyulin Shao Hui), Corydalis Rhizome (Yanhusuo), Cinnamon Twig (Rougui), Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Red Peony Root (Chishao). Powder. Take 2 qian fasting with warm wine. Treats persistent postpartum敗血, dripping lochia, abdominal pain, dizziness/weakness.
Muli San: 2 qian each of Oyster Shell (Muli Fen), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shudi), Poria (Fuling), and Fossilized Bones (Longgu); 1 qian each of Dipsacus Root (Xuduan), Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Mugwort Leaf (Aiye), Ginseng (Renshen), Schisandra Berry (Wuweizi), Sanguisorba Root (Diyu); 0.5 fen of Licorice Root (Gancao). Decoct with ginger/jujube, divide into two doses, take fasting. Treats persistent dripping lochia, chest oppression/shortness of breath, limb weakness, anorexia, heavy dizziness, five-palm heat, sallow/emaciated appearance.
Cold/Hot Lin syndrome is primarily treated with Bai Mao Tang combined with Fuling.
Bai Mao Tang: 5 qian of Imperata Rhizome (Baimaogen), 3.5 qian each of Dianthus Herb (Qumai) and White Poria (Baifuling); 1.15 fen each of Okra Fruit (Kuizi) and Ginseng (Renshen); 7.5 qian each of Polygonum Multiflorum Vine (Puhuang), Peach Gum (Taojiao), Talcum (Huashi), Pinellia Tuber (Banxia); 0.5 fen of Licorice Root (Gancao); one Purple Shell (Zibei); two Stonefish Brain Sands (Shishouyu Naosha). Divide into two doses, decoct with 3 slices of ginger and 20 roots of Juncus (Dengxin). Or powder, take 2 qian with Tongcao decoction; for qi obstruction, use Tongcao/Chenpi decoction. Treats all postpartum Lin syndromes regardless of cold/heat/gas/stones.
Qi blockage with low milk supply is treated with Loulu San.
Loulu San: 2.5 liang of Rhizoma Euphorbiae Humifusae (Loulu), ten snake skins (Shetui), ten Trichosanthes Fruit (Gualou Shi, calcined). Powder. Take 2 qian with wine, assist with hot soup. Treats obese women with qi/blood blockage, lack of lactation, meridian stagnation, breast distension/pain, or impending mastitis/abscess.
Qi stagnation with low milk supply is treated with Yongquan San.
Yongquan San: Equal parts of Dianthus Herb (Qumai), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maidong), Vaccaria Seed (Wangbuliuxing), Fossilized Bones (Longgu), and Pangolin Scales (Chuanshanjia). Powder. Take 1 qian with hot wine. Eat pig trotter soup first, then take medicine, comb/scrape breasts afterwards.
Another Formula: Equal parts of Vaccaria Seed (Wangbuliuxing), White Civet Cat Excrement (Baidingxiang), Rhizoma Euphorbiae Humifusae (Loulu), Trichosanthes Root (Tianhuafen), and Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiangcan). Powder, take with pig trotter juice. Also treats breast distension/pain and mastitis.
Alas! Women's nature is most perilous and fierce; the Yin pathway is easily depleted and hard to establish.
Pediatrics was not recorded in Suwen; Bian Que began calling himself a pediatrician. Clinging to fright and accumulation are primary; erupting measles and chickenpox are particularly unique.
Children's diseases are same as adult medicine, except that hundred diseases often cling to fright and accumulation, differing in measles/chickenpox eruption.
For fright, use purging, cooling, or warming methods; Chen Sha Long Nao Wan is for emergency rescue.
Lijing Wan: 1.5 qian each of Tianshu Huang (Tianzhuhuang) and Talcum (Huashi); 1 qian each of Cow Bezoar (Niuhuang), Arisaema Rhizome (Nanxing), Pinellia Tuber (Banxia), and Calomel (Qingfen); 3 qian each of Gastrodia Rhizome (Tianma), Cinnabar (Zhusha), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai), and Earthworm Manure (Feidi Qiuyin Fen); 2.5 qian each of Bolus Orientalis (Baifuzi), Realgar (Xionghuang), and Hawthorn Fruit (Shanzha); seven each of Cicada Slough (Chantui), Whole Scorpion (Quanxie), and Silkworm (Jiangcan); 0.5 fen each of Licorice Root (Gancao) and Croton Seed Frost (Bashuang); 0.8 fen of Moschus (Shexiang); thirty sheets of Gold Leaf (Jinbo). Powder, form pills the size of radish seeds with flour paste. Coat with five substances: Jinbo, Zhusha, Huashi, Qingdai, Xionghuang. Dosage: 1-3 years old, 5 pills; 5-9 years old, 7 pills; 10-13 years old, 10 pills. Various wind-strokes taken with mint decoction; phlegm-heavy cases coated with Huashi; food-stagnation cases coated with Xionghuang; other symptoms with plain water. Treats acute wind-stroke, 24 types of fright, watery diarrhea/dysentery, phlegm-fire abdominal distension, food stagnation miscellaneous diseases. Expels accumulation, calms fright. Follow with Qipi San.
