Collectors must ensure the tail is preserved for full efficacy. It is effective in tonifying lung deficiency and laborious cough. It treats persistent cough not healing, empty heat accumulating in the lungs, which over time forms sores, causing coughing up of pus and blood day and night, throat congestion, chest oppression and pain, upper jiao panting urgency, expelling Chuan Shi (Infectious Consumption) evil spirits, strengthening Yuan Yang (Original Yang), regulating menstruation, promoting urination, and treating stone strangury.
