Treats all types of wind-pathogen-induced wandering pain, as well as Baihu Lijie Feng (White Tiger Joint Pain), He Xi Feng (Crane Knee Wind), cold-dampness flowing accumulation, carbuncles and sores on the back, Ding Chuang (carbuncles), Luo Li (scrofula), traumatic injuries, food stagnation and mass in the abdomen, chronic malaria masses (splenomegaly due to malaria), stubborn phlegm and blood stasis accumulation, abdominal pain with diarrhea, pediatric gan-ji (malnutrition syndrome), and various gynecological zheng-masses (abdominal masses). Apply to the affected area. For cough or malaria, apply to the seventh thoracic vertebra on the midline of the back. I prepare this plaster for general distribution; it takes effect miraculously fast. If blisters form and exude fluid after application, this indicates that the deep-seated pathogenic qi is being drawn out by the medicinal power, which is an auspicious sign. Do not doubt or fear; remember this, remember this.

Soak in winter for nine nights, in spring and autumn for seven nights, in summer for five nights. Add ingredients to the pot in several batches. Boil over moderate to strong heat until the herbs are dry/blackened and the oil turns black, tested by dropping a drop into water where it forms a bead. Filter out the dregs and re-weigh. For every 12 liang of medicated oil, add 4 jin of filtered flake-style Songxiang (Colophonium). Boil together until a drop does not disperse in water. For each batch, add 6 liang of fine Baicaoshuang powder. Stir continuously without stopping. When the fire control is complete, pour into a water vat. Stir with a stick to form blocks. Have two people pull and stretch the mixture several times. Store in porcelain jars. It treats all wind-cold-dampness conditions, carbuncles, sores, etc., with miraculous efficacy.
Another method: To treat carbuncles and sores, use Xuedan (Red Cinnabar) to consolidate the plaster, which is even more effective. Use 6 liang of Dan for every 1 jin of oil.
