〔丹〕风沿眼系，上膈有积热，自饮食中挟怒气而成。顽痰痞塞，浊气不降，清气不上升，由是火益炽而水益降。
积而久也，眼沿因脓渍而肿，于中生细小虫丝，遂年久不愈，而多痒者是也。用紫金膏，以银钗脚揩去油腻点
之。试问若果痒者，又当去虫，以绝根本。盖紫金膏止是去湿，与去风凉血而已，若前所谓饮食挟怒成痰，又
须更与防风通圣散去硝黄为细末，以酒拌匀晒干，根据法服之。禁诸浓味及大料物，方尽诸法之要。（紫金方未详，即

〔世〕炉甘石散 治烂风眼。
以炉甘石不拘多少，先用童便 七次，次用黄连浓煎汁 七次，次用谷雨前茶清浓煎 七次，又并三汁余
者一次，再 三次，然后安放地上一宿，出火气，细细研，入冰片、麝香，点上神妙。炉甘石 时，须用好紫
霄炭极大者凿一穴，以安炉甘石。
〔丹〕治风沿烂眼，二蚕砂用香油浸月余，重绵滤过，点之，愈久愈妙。

用水飞过虢丹，蜜多水少，文武火熬，以器贮，点之。
〔《保》〕治眼赤瞎，以青泥蛆淘净，晒干末之，仰卧合目，用药一钱，放眼上，须臾药行，待少时去药，
赤瞎自无。
〔东垣〕目眶赤烂岁久，俗呼赤瞎是也，常以三棱针刺目外，以泄湿热立愈。

【丹溪】风沿眼系，是由于上膈有积热，由饮食中夹杂怒气而形成的。顽痰痞塞，浊气不下降，清气不上升，因此火更加炽盛而水更加下降。
积累久了，眼睑因脓液浸渍而肿胀，眼中生出细小虫丝，于是多年不愈，且多伴有瘙痒，就是这种情况。使用紫金膏，用银钗脚擦去油腻后点涂。如果试问确实感到瘙痒的，又应当去除虫体，以断绝病根。因为紫金膏只是祛湿、祛风和凉血而已，如果是前面所说的饮食夹杂怒气形成痰饮，又必须再用防风通圣散去掉芒硝和大黄研成细末，用酒拌匀晒干，按照方法服用。禁止食用各种浓味及大料食物，这才尽了各种方法的要点。（紫金方的具体组成不详，就是《兰室秘藏》眼目门的还睛紫金丹。）
【世医】炉甘石散 治疗烂风眼。
取炉甘石不拘多少，先用童便浸泡七次，再用黄连浓煎汁浸泡七次，再用谷雨前的茶清浓煎浸泡七次，又将这三种汁液剩余的残渣合并一次，再煅烧三次，然后放置在地上过夜，去除火气，细细研磨，加入冰片、麝香，点入眼中神妙。煅烧炉甘石时，须用好紫霄炭中极大的凿出一个穴，用来安放炉甘石。
【丹溪】治疗风沿烂眼，用二蚕砂用香油浸泡一个多月，用多层绵纸过滤后点涂，时间越久效果越好。
【世医】紫金膏
用水飞法处理的铅丹，蜂蜜多水少，用文武火熬制，用器皿储存，点涂。
【《保命集》】治疗眼赤瞎，用青泥蛆淘洗干净，晒干后研成粉末，仰卧闭眼，用药一钱，放在眼睛上，片刻药力运行，等待一会儿去掉药物，眼赤瞎自然消除。
【东垣】眼眶赤烂多年，俗称赤瞎，常用三棱针刺眼外角，以泄湿热立刻痊愈。

[Danxi] Wind-margin eye disease involves the eye system, caused by accumulated heat in the upper jiao (upper burner), resulting from diet combined with anger. Stubborn phlegm causes obstruction, turbid qi fails to descend, and clear qi fails to ascend; thus, fire becomes more blazing while water descends further.
After accumulation over a long period, the eyelids swell due to pus exudation, and fine worm-like filaments appear within the eye. Consequently, it persists for years without healing and is characterized by frequent itching. Use Zijin Ointment (Purple Gold Ointment). Wipe away the grease with the foot of a silver hairpin before applying drops. If itching is indeed present, one must remove the parasites to eliminate the root cause. This is because Zijin Ointment merely dispels dampness, wind, and cools the blood. If the condition stems from the aforementioned phlegm formed by diet and anger, one must additionally use Fangfeng Tongsheng San (Wind-Protecting Universal Release Powder) with Xie (Mangxiao/Rhizoma Natri Sulfatis) and Huang (Dahuang/Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) removed, ground into fine powder, mixed evenly with wine, dried, and taken according to the method. Avoid all rich flavors and strong spices, which completes the essence of these methods. (The specific formula for Zijin is unknown; it refers to Huanjing Zijin Dan (Purple Gold Pill for Restoring Vision) in the Eye Section of Lan Shi Mi Zang.)
Fangfeng Tongsheng San (Formula see Epilepsy section)
[World Doctors] Luguanshi San (Calamine Powder) treats Lan Feng Yan (Rotting Wind Eye).
Take an unspecified amount of Luguanshi (Calaminae Lithofossilia). First, soak it seven times in Tongbian (Child's Urine). Next, soak it seven times in thick decoction of Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma). Then, soak it seven times in thick decoction of tea from before Guyu (Grain Rain solar term). Combine the residues of these three juices once, then calcine three times. Place it on the ground overnight to eliminate fire energy. Grind finely, add Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) and Shexiang (Moschus), and apply to the eyes with miraculous effect. When calcining Luguanshi, use large pieces of high-quality Zixiaotan (Purple Sky Charcoal), carve a hole in it, and place the Luguanshi inside.
[Danxi] To treat Wind-margin Rotting Eye, soak Er Cansha (Two-stage Silkworm Feces) in Xiangyou (Sesame Oil) for over a month. Filter through multiple layers of silk gauze and apply drops. The longer the duration, the better the effect.
[World Doctors] Zijin Gao (Purple Gold Ointment)
Use Guodan (Lithargyri) processed by water flying. Use more honey and less water. Boil using moderate and gentle heat. Store in a vessel and apply drops.
[Baoming Ji] To treat Yan Chi Xia (Red Blindness of the Eye), wash Qingni Qu (Green Mud Maggots) clean, dry them, and grind into powder. Lie supine with eyes closed. Apply one qian of the medicine onto the eye. After a moment when the medicine spreads, wait briefly and remove the medicine. Red blindness will naturally disappear.
[Dongyuan] Long-standing red and rotting orbits, commonly called Chi Xia (Red Blindness), can be instantly cured by pricking the outer canthus of the eye with a Sanleng needle (Three-edged Needle) to drain damp-heat.
[Cuoyao] Wind-Chord Rotting Eye: Dagukong (Great Bone Empty) [located at the tip of the second joint of the thumb, moxa nine zhuastrokes, blow out the fire.] Xiaogukong (Small Bone Empty) [located at the tip of the second joint of the little finger, moxa seven zhuastrokes, also blow out the fire.]
