如果是气虚且痘色微红的,以九味神功散为主方;

假如平日气血虚弱,到了灌浆阶段,虽然顶部圆满,但根部完全没有红晕,以芎归保元汤为主方;
虚损严重的,以参归鹿茸汤为主方。
(芎归保元汤) 人参、甘草(炙)、黄耆(蜜炙)、当归(酒洗)、川芎,引用龙眼肉,水煎服。

Clause 105
Toxic fire scalds and damages Yin blood (Yin Blood), causing the pustules to become dry, shriveled, and lacking in moisture. The modified Danggui Huoxue Decoction is commonly used for treatment; if therapy is delayed even slightly, the condition may change unpredictably.
[Note]
Complexion is the manifestation of blood. When blood is harmonious, the skin is moist, lustrous, and bright; when blood is depleted, it becomes dry and withered.
When the toxic fire of the pustules enters the blood level, it causes mild redness or severe blackish-purple discoloration.
Treatment should urgently focus on rescuing the blood, primarily using Danggui Huoxue Tang (Danggui Blood-Invigorating Decoction).
(Danggui Huoxue Tang) Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Red Peony Root (Chisao), Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (Shengdi), Carthami Flos (Honghua), Arnebiae Radix seu Lithospermi Radix (Zicao), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Rheii Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang). Decoct in water and take orally.
(Verse Formula)
Modified Danggui Blood-Invigorating Decoction is best for dry, shriveled pustules;
Combined with Siwu Tang ingredients, Honghua, and Zicao,
Add Huangqin, Huanglian, and raw Dahuang.
Clause 106
The symptom of "Puhong" (Spreading Redness) often arises from weak Yuan Qi (Primal Qi), where blood fails to adhere to the pustules and toxic qi diffuses widely. The entire skin surface turns red, and the base of the pustules is bright red and vivid. Loss of Qi's controlling function leads to a poor prognosis for the pustules.
For Qi deficiency, use Jiwei Shengong San to tonify; for excessive toxicity, use cooling-blood and detoxifying methods to clear heat.
[Note]
During the swelling stage, blood should fully adhere to the pustules, with a tight red line binding the base, which is the normal form.
If Yuan Qi is weak and blood fails to adhere, causing toxic qi to scatter, the skin appears red, and the pustule bases are purple-red and vivid.
This indicates a loss of Qi's controlling power, often leading to untreatable conditions.
If there is Qi deficiency with slight redness of the pustules, use Jiwei Shengong San as the primary formula.
If toxicity is excessive and the bases are vivid, use Liangxue Jiedu Tang (Cooling Blood and Detoxifying Decoction) as the primary formula.
(Jiwei Shengong San) Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Astragali Radix (Huangqi), Arnebiae Radix seu Lithospermi Radix (Zicaorong), Carthami Flos (Honghua), Peucedani Radix (Qianhu), Arnicae Semen (Niuziqi, stir-fried and crushed), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, raw), White Peony Root (Baishaoyao, wine-fried), Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (Shengdihuang). Use Jujubae Fructus (Dazao) as an guide, decoct in water, and take orally.
(Verse Formula)
Jiwei Shengong treats Puhong, using Renshen, Huangqi, and Zicaorong;
Combine with Honghua, Qianhu, Niuziqi, and Gancao,
Followed by Baishaoyao, Shengdihuang, and accompanied by Dazao.
(Liangxue Jiedu Tang) See the section on Crusting and Sloughing for the formula.
Clause 107
Blood deficiency causes the pustule color to be scattered and unfocused, with pale white bases lacking vividness. Xionggui Baoyuan Tang can be administered, and Shen Gui Lurong Tang also shows remarkable efficacy.
[Note]
When the pustules reach the stage of forming pus, if Qi and Blood intersect, there must be a blood line tightly attached to the base, resembling pearls placed on cinnabar, with each grain shining brightly; this is the normal form.
If one normally suffers from Qi and Blood deficiency, during the pus-forming stage, although the apex may be round, the base will completely lack a red halo. In such cases, use Xionggui Baoyuan Tang as the primary formula.
In cases of severe deficiency, use Shen Gui Lurong Tang as the primary formula.
(Xionggui Baoyuan Tang) Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, honey-roasted), Astragali Radix (Huangqi, honey-roasted), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, wine-washed), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong). Use Longan Arillus (Longyanrou) as a guide, decoct in water, and take orally.
(Verse Formula)
Xionggui Baoyuan treats Blood deficiency, combining Renshen, Gancao, and Huangqi;
Wine-washed Danggui paired with Chuanxiong,
With Longan arillus as the guide, taken at any time.
(Shen Gui Lurong Tang) See the section on Pus Formation for the formula.
