皂角（二枚）
将前五味药材共同研磨成细末。取皂角，去除子、皮和筋络，浸泡并捶打，用布绞取汁液一盆；另取新鲜薄荷捣碎取汁，与皂角汁一同熬制成膏状，再拌入药末中制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三十丸，饭后用滚开水送服。
【方歌】犀角丸能清除心火，治疗各种瘰疬兼见目红，牵牛子半生用半炒用，陈皮、薄荷、皂角、连翘、青皮同用。
又一方：夏枯草膏
主治：治疗男女小儿因忧思气郁导致的瘰疬坚硬，以及肝旺血燥之证。若骤用猛烈药物，恐怕损伤脾气，故以此膏常服以消散病邪。
组成：京夏枯草（一斤半）、当归、白芍（酒炒）、黑参、乌药、浙贝母（去心）、僵蚕（炒，各五钱）、昆布、桔梗、陈皮、抚芎、甘草（各三钱）、香附（酒炒，一两）、红花（二钱）。
Saponariae Fructus (Gaojiao) (2 pieces)
Grind the aforementioned five medicinal materials into a fine powder. Take Saponariae Fructus, remove the seeds, peel, and fibrous strands, soak and pound it, then squeeze out one basin of juice using a cloth. Separately, crush fresh Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Bohe) to extract its juice. Boil both juices together until they form a paste, mix in the powdered medicine, and shape into pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds (Wutongzi). Take 30 pills per dose, swallowed with boiling water after meals.
[Prescription Verse] Xijiao Wan (Rhinoceros Horn Pill) can clear Heart Fire, treating various Scrofula (Luoli, 瘰疬) accompanied by red eyes. Phelodendri Amurensis Cortex (Huangbai) or similar agents are used half raw and half stir-fried; Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Bohe (Mint), Gaojiao (Soap Pod), Lianqiao (Forsythia), and Qingpi (Green Tangerine Peel) are used together.
Another Prescription: Xiakucao Paste
Indications: Treats Scrofula (Luoli, 瘰疬) characterized by hardness in men, women, and children due to worry, thinking, and Qi stagnation, as well as Liver hyperactivity and Blood dryness. Since sudden use of rapid and harsh agents may damage Spleen Qi, this paste is taken regularly to dissipate the condition.
Composition: Jing Xiakucao (Prunellae Spica, 1.5 jin), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, stir-fried with wine), Heishen (Scrophulariae Radix, black-processed), Wuyao (Linderae Radix), Zhe Beimu (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus, heart removed), Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, stir-fried, each 5 qian), Kunbu (Eckloniae Thallus), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Fuxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma processed from Fuzhou), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, each 3 qian), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma, stir-fried with wine, 1 liang), Honghua (Carthami Flos, 2 qian).
