[Verse] The lesion of Gu Wei Chuang (Bone Withering Sore) resembles red millet seeds or beans, gradually enlarging to look like plums or peaches, caused by the formation of Fire Toxin. If pus and blood do not discharge, pain will not cease; treating it according to the methods for Ding Chuang (Carbuncle/Furuncle) will be successful.
[Note] This condition initially presents as a lesion resembling millet seeds or beans, red in color and gradually expanding, looking like plums or peaches, resulting from Fire Toxin accumulation. If blood does not emerge and pus does not form, pain persists; if prolonged, it may spread over the entire body. Internal and external treatment methods should refer to the section on Ding Chuang (Carbuncle/Furuncle).
[Verse] The symptoms of Feng Gan (Wind Malnutrition Sore) resemble those of Feng Xuan (Wind Tinea), breaking open to exude yellow fluid with slight itching and pain. This is due to Wind-Dampness invading the anus (Gu Dao); applying Ru Sheng Gao (Like-Sage Ointment) yields immediate results.
[Note] This condition arises from Wind-Dampness pathogenic factors lodging in the anus. It manifests as itching similar to Wind Tinea, breaking open to exude yellow fluid, spreading across the body with slight pain. Applying Ru Sheng Gao (Like-Sage Ointment) is suitable for cure.
Formula: Ru Sheng Gao (Like-Sage Ointment)
Composition: Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 5 qian), Ba Dou (Crotonis Fructus, shelled, 3 qian).
Using 8 liang of Sesame Oil, fry the two herbs until charred, remove dregs; add 3 liang of Yellow Beeswax, melt completely, remove from fire, filter cleanly through silk cloth. When the ointment is about to congeal, add 2 qian of Qing Fen (Calamina/Powdered Mercury Compound), stir evenly, and apply externally.
[Verse] Ru Sheng Gao uses Dang Gui and Ba Dou, fried together in sesame oil; after charring, add wax and Qing Fen. When congealed, apply to treat Feng Gan with great efficacy.
[Verse] The morphology of Xue Gan (Blood Malnutrition Sore) resembles purple Jie Chuang (Scabies Sore), with alternating pain and itching and significant blood loss damaging the vessels. The syndrome is caused by Wind-Heat closing the Cou Li (Pores and Intercellular Spaces); taking Xiao Feng San (Eliminate Wind Powder) offers the strongest efficacy.
[Note] This condition is formed by Wind-Heat pathogenic factors obstructing the Cou Li. It presents as lesions resembling purple scabies, with intermittent pain and itching, caused by Blood Dryness and excess Heat. Taking Xiao Feng San (Eliminate Wind Powder) is appropriate.
Formula: Xiao Feng San (Eliminate Wind Powder) (See section on Neck Button Fungus/Tinea)
[Verse] The morphology of Bai Pi (White Psoriasis) resembles Zhen Jie (Rash Scabies), white in color and intensely itchy causing discomfort. This is partly due to Wind Evil lodging in the skin, and partly due to Blood Dryness failing to nourish the exterior.
[Note] This condition is commonly known as She Shi (Snake Lice). It occurs on the skin, resembling rash or scabies, white in color and itchy, producing white scales when scratched. It is caused by Wind Evil lodging in the skin and Blood Dryness failing to provide nourishment. Initially take Fang Feng Tong Sheng San (Saposhnikovia Unblocking the Interior Powder), followed by Sou Feng Shun Qi Wan (Search Wind and Smooth Qi Pills). Alternatively, mix equal parts of Pig Fat and Ku Xing Ren (Bitter Apricot Seed), crush together, wrap in silk cloth, and rub on the affected area; both methods are effective.
Formula: Sou Feng Shun Qi Wan (Search Wind and Smooth Qi Pills)
Composition: Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, soaked in wine, steamed and sun-dried nine times, 5 liang), Che Qian Zi (Plantaginis Semen, stir-fried with wine), Shan Yu Rou (Corni Fructus), Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma, stir-fried), Niu Xi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, soaked in wine), Tu Si Zi (Cuscutae Semen, boiled in wine), Du Huo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Huo Ma Ren (Cannabis Fructus, baked lightly, shelled), Bing Lang (Arecae Semen), Zhi Ke (Aurantii Fructus, stir-fried with bran), Yu Li Ren (Pruni Semen, soaked in boiling water, shelled), Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 1 liang).
Grind all ingredients into fine powder, bind with refined honey to make pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, administered with tea or wine as preferred, morning and evening.
[Verse] Sou Feng Shun Qi Wan contains Che Qian Zi, Shan Yu Rou, Shan Yao, Da Huang, Niu Xi, Tu Si Zi, Qiang Huo, Du Huo, Huo Ma Ren, Bing Lang, Zhi Ke, and Yu Li Ren. Taking it expels Wind Evil and nourishes Blood Dryness.
Another Formula: Fang Feng Tong Sheng San (Saposhnikovia Unblocking the Interior Powder)
