《千金方》治疗小儿身上KT(此处指类似疣或瘊子的皮肤病变)的方子:
The *Chan Jing* (Classic of Childbirth) states: For treating leprosy-like sores on the body of infants and children:
Grind Shi Liu Huang (Mineral Sulfur, primarily sulfides) with Ku Jiu (Vinegar), and apply it to the affected area three times a day. (From *Chan Jing*.)
Another prescription: Take one sheng of fresh Gua Lou (Trichosanthes fruit), cut into pieces, add three sheng of verified Ku Jiu (Vinegar), decoct until one sheng of juice remains, and apply to the lesion. This is effective. This is a secret formula of the De family, not transmitted externally. (From *Chan Jing*.)
The *Bing Yuan Lun* (Treatise on the Pathogenesis and Manifestations of Various Diseases) states: There are growths attached to the skin and flesh that are indistinguishable in color from normal flesh, sized like wheat or beans, called You Zi (Warts), also known as You Mu (Wart Eyes). These mostly arise from Wind Evil invading the skin, causing changes in Blood and Qi. Therefore, some are cured by herbal medicine, others by magical arts, but they mostly occur on the hands and feet.
The *Qian Jin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) prescription: Use a knife to incise around the root of the wart to induce bleeding. Apply the yellow pus from the sore of a person suffering from a skin ulcer onto the lesion. Avoid contact with water. After three days, the pus will break, the root will loosen, and it will fall off naturally.
*Chan Jing*: Apply Song Zhi (Pine Resin) to the wart overnight, and it will fall off. Effective.
Another prescription: Rub Fan Shi (Alum) on the wart seven times, then remove it.
Another prescription: Make small moxa cones. Moxibustion of three Zhuang (units of moxa consumption) on newly formed warts will cause them to disappear naturally. Effective.
Another prescription: On the last day of the lunar month (Hui Ri), take fourteen old grass stalks in front of the toilet, rub them on the wart, and conclude with an incantation: "Today is Hui Ri, startle away the wart." Do not look back. Within ten days, it will wither and die.
Current observation: Common people apply Chi Xian (Red Amaranth) juice to make them fall off, or wash with the juice boiled from Huang Bu (likely referring to Leonurus japonicus seeds/fruit).
The *Qian Jin Fang* prescription for treating KT (a term likely referring to warts or similar skin lesions) on the body of infants and children:
Wash with Ma Niao (Horse urine), three to four times a day.
Another prescription: Abrade the lesion and apply Niu Bi Jin (Saliva/mucus from a cow's nose).
The *Bing Yuan Lun* states: Infants and children with vigorous Blood and Qi often experience heat in both the interior and exterior. This results in restlessness and irritability, along with high fever of the skin.
The *Qian Jin Fang* Li Ye Tang (Plum Leaf Decoction) for treating fever in young children:
Use an unspecified amount of Li Ye (Plum leaves), crush them, decoct in water, strain the dregs, and use the liquid to bathe the infant. (Current observation: The *Duan Ju Fang* notes: Perform this in a shaded place, avoiding sunlight.)
Su Jing’s *Ben Cao Zhu* (Commentary on Materia Medica) states: Zi Bai Pi (Cortex Catalpae) treats childhood heat sores, fever and irritability of the body and head. It can be decocted for bathing or applied as a powder.
The *Ge Shi Fang* (Prescriptions of Ge Hong): For treating sudden high fever in infants resembling fire, preventing breastfeeding:
Suddenly sever a dog's ear, collect the blood, and apply it to the infant's face and body.
The *Ben Cao Shi Yi* (Supplement to Materia Medica) states: For sudden high fever in infants, pound Shui Qin (Oenanthe javanica/Water Dropwort), extract the juice, and apply it.
Another prescription: Raw Yin (Silver). For various heat conditions in infants, grind raw silver in water and administer orally; its efficacy surpasses that of Zi Xue (Purple Snow, a traditional Chinese medicinal preparation for clearing heat and opening orifices).
