《新录单方》说:将鸡肠草煮成羹食用,或捣取汁液服用五到六合,每日两次。
又一方:使用棘直刺、枣针各三升,捣碎过筛后炼蜜为丸,用酒送服三十丸,每日两次。

The *Zhu Bing Yuan Hou Lun* (Treatise on the Pathogenesis and Symptoms of All Diseases) states: Improper sexual conduct leads to heat accumulating in the Lower Jiao (Lower Burner); deficiency-cold in the Lower Jiao allows cold qi to invade the Bao Palace (Uterus/Bladder), causing the Bao Palace to be cold and unable to control urination, resulting in frequent urination.
The *Xin Lu Dan Fang* (Newly Recorded Single-Ingredient Prescriptions) states: Boil Ji Chang Cao (Herba Siegesbeckiae Orientalis) into a soup and consume it, or crush and take the juice, five to six he (a traditional unit of volume), twice daily.
Another prescription: Use Ji Zhi Ci (Spine of Thorny Plant) and Zao Zhen (Date Spine), each three sheng (a traditional unit of volume), crush and sieve them, make pills with honey, and swallow thirty pills with wine, twice daily.
The *Zhu Bing Yuan Hou Lun* states: Long-term consumption of powder medicines causes medicinal properties to accumulate internally; internal heat qi invades the Large Intestine and Small Intestine, causing intestinal obstruction and涩滞 (stagnation), leading to difficulty in both defecation and urination.
The *Hua Tuo Fang* (Prescriptions of Hua Tuo) for resolving heat-induced distension and fullness, and blockage of defecation and urination:
Zhi Shi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus) (four liang) You Ba (likely a specific herb, possibly related to Sophora or similar, kept as transliteration due to ambiguity in standard texts, often identified as Ku Xing Ren or similar in some contexts but here kept as proper noun) (four liang)
Take the above two ingredients, soak in two sheng of water until moistened, then boil down to half a sheng, filter out the dregs, drink slowly in small amounts, adjusting the quantity according to the condition, and one will recover naturally.
The *Zhang Zhongjing Fang* (Prescriptions of Zhang Zhongjing) for treating difficulty in defecation and urination caused by cold accumulation:
Xiang Chi (Fermented Soybean Paste) (two sheng) Da Ma Zi (Semen Cannabis) (one sheng, crushed)
Take the above two ingredients, boil in four sheng of water until reduced to one sheng eight he, filter out the dregs, let cool, take six he per dose, three times daily.
The *Xin Lu Dan Fang* states: For difficulty in defecation and urination, consume Kui Zi (Semen Malvae).
The *Lu Yan Fang* (Verified Records Prescriptions) states: If there is severe constipation, dribbling urine, hematuria, and pain in the genitalia, this is caused by heat qi; applying moxibustion or hot compress therapy will cure it.
Hot Compress Therapy: First apply cold objects to the lower abdomen; after cold application, apply hot objects; after hot application, apply cold objects again.
The *Zhu Bing Yuan Hou Lun* states: Improper sexual conduct, excessive exposure to warmth, and failure to dissipate heat cause heat qi to accumulate in the stomach and intestines, leading to dry and difficult defecation.
Huangfu Mi states: Sometimes defecation is difficult, and the abdomen feels hard like a coiled snake; this is due to prolonged sitting in warm conditions, causing heat to accumulate, leaving dry feces in the abdomen that cannot be expelled. Consume Xiao Su Ruo Gao (a cooling ointment/paste), cooled, one to two sheng; if it lubricates the intestines, stool will pass. If not, administer purgatives to achieve recovery. Xue Gong states: If still no passage, administer Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) and Po Xiao (Natrii Sulfas) to purge.
Qin Chengzu states: Po Xiao and Da Huang decocted treat dry feces in the stomach tube causing difficult defecation. Prescription for resolving body sores and hair loss:
Da Huang (golden variety, two liang) Po Xiao (fine white variety, two liang)
Take the above two ingredients, boil in ten dou (a large traditional unit of volume) of water until reduced by three sheng, filter out the dregs, place in a copper vessel, and simmer over mild fire on top of a boiling water bath until pillable form is achieved. Strong patients may swallow the dose at once; weak patients should take it and subsequently nourish themselves with mutton, duck, or deer meat soup.
The *Lu Yan Fang* for resolving inability to defecate:
Da Huang (four liang) Tao Ren (Semen Persicae) (thirty kernels)
Take the above two ingredients, boil in six sheng of water until reduced to two sheng, divide into two doses. Another variation: Da Huang two liang, Tao Ren fifty kernels.
