The "Fish Bone" pattern (a fingerprint morphology) arises and extends to the Wind Gate (the first phalange of the index finger); seeing this indicates the initial stage of convulsion.
If black suddenly appears, it is due to excessive wind pathogen; even with spiritual pills, one may not necessarily regain consciousness.
When the pattern reaches the Qi Gate (the second phalange), the disease transfers to the Heart; however, if the whole body is red and hot, the condition is determined to be mild.
When the pattern reaches the Life Gate (the third phalange), excessive qi causes the disease to transfer to the Spleen; even if Lu Yi (a reference to Bian Que, a legendary divine physician) comes, he cannot ensure peace.
The "Needle" pattern (a fingerprint morphology) appearing blue-black at the Wind Gate indicates injury from water fright; do not treat it lightly.
Redness at the Qi Gate indicates malnutrition transferring to the Lung; rescue at the Life Gate is difficult.
The most feared is blue-black combined with red-purple; death is inevitable.
If the pattern penetrates all three gates, do not use medicine; for slow convulsions with transmission, few spiritual pills are effective.
The character "Water" pattern at the Wind Gate indicates qi injury; convulsion entering the Lung corresponds to severe illness.
Accompanied by coughing and abundant sticky saliva, with a red face, early prevention is necessary.
If seen at the Qi Gate, phlegm-saliva is in the diaphragm; chest phlegm abundance has corresponding formulas.
If seen at the Life Gate with excessive wind-malnutrition, penetration of all three gates means immediate death.
The character "Yi" pattern indicates the liver is affected initially; treating convulsion in the Lung is difficult to prioritize.
If double purple is seen at the Qi Gate, the liver disease requires good medicinal treatment.
If seen at the Life Gate, convulsion enters the Stomach; regardless of blue or black, the disease is hard to eliminate.
If seen on all three gates, this is a fatal liver condition with residual toxins.
The "Curved Worm" malnutrition at the Wind Gate indicates liver disease transmitting to the Spleen, causing abdominal swelling.
Just passing the Qi Gate still shows abdominal swelling; spleen accumulation requires careful treatment.
Acute convulsion belonging to the Kidney should be treated early; do not wait until delay makes rescue difficult.
Reaching the Life Gate brings heart heat; convulsion-malnutrition involves related diseases.
The "Ring-like" sign seen at the Wind Gate indicates spleen-kidney transmitting malnutrition; do not neglect it.
Internal accumulation injury with excess should not allow transmission to the middle gate (Qi Gate).
Pattern at the Qi Gate shows wind generating in the Stomach; vomiting and rebellion make rescue difficult.
If reaching the Life Gate, do not treat; even if life remains, recovery is unlikely.
Chaotic patterns at the Wind Gate indicate worm biting the heart, unbearable suffering.
Using medicine to expel worms cures the heart pain; where else to find spiritual pills?
Other medicines cannot remove malnutrition worms; consider the properties of *Toosendan Fructus* (Kulian,
One tael of *Toosendan Fructus* roasted in a furnace into powder, taken at an auspicious time, brings bodily peace.
"Flowing Pearl" pattern is a death prognosis incurable; the right hand's three gates show this deficiency.
Right face pattern leads to death at midnight; left face pattern shows timing at Shen hour (3-5 PM).
