这是手阳明大肠经和足阳明胃经的药物。大黄苦寒峻猛,能攻下燥结并祛除瘀热,经过蒸晒处理后,药性稍显和缓,所以作为君药;

Treats fire pathogen scorching the Lung Metal, blood deficiency causing external dryness, skin cracking and scaling, tendon stiffness with withered nails; or constipation due to wind obstruction (The Lung governs the skin and hair, the Liver governs the tendons and nails; liver blood deficiency manifests as above symptoms):
Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis (wine-washed, 2 qian), Shengdihuang Rhizoma Rehmanniae Recens (Raw Rehmannia Root), Shudihuang Rhizoma Rehmanniae Praeparata (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Baishao Radix Paeoniae Alba (stir-fried), Huangqin Cortex Scutellariae (wine-stir-fried), Qinjiao Fructus Gentianae Macrophyllae (1 qian), Fangfeng Radix Saposhnikoviae, Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis.
These are herbs for the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. The aforementioned syndrome is due to blood deficiency and depletion of fluids. Danggui nourishes dryness and tonifies blood, serving as the Sovereign herb. Shengdihuang and Shudihuang nourish Kidney Water to benefit the Liver; Baishao drains Liver Fire and benefits blood, serving as the Minister herbs. Huangqin clears Lung Heat, nourishing Yin and retreating Yang. Qinjiao and Fangfeng disperse Liver Wind; they belong to the category of moistening agents among wind-dispelling herbs (Wind generates dryness; Qinjiao and Fangfeng have pungent flavors that can moisten). Additionally, Qinjiao nourishes blood and enriches tendons, while Fangfeng acts as an Envoy for blood-invigorating herbs (used as an Envoy in cases of hematemesis and metrorrhagia); Gancao has a sweet and neutral flavor, draining fire.
Treats constipation due to wind or qi stagnation caused by wind-stroke, obstruction of urination and defecation, generalized pruritus due to deficiency, and floating-rapid pulse; also treats intestinal wind bleeding and wind-stroke paralysis (Wind constipation arises from wind generating dryness; Qi constipation arises from qi stagnation, hence fecal impaction; dryness causes blood stasis and failure of fluid distribution, hence generalized pruritus; a floating pulse indicates wind, a rapid pulse...)
Dahuang Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (steamed and dried nine times, five liang), Dama Ren Semen Cannabis Sativae, Yuliren Semen Pruni Armeniacae (skin removed), Shanyao Rhizoma Dioscoreae Oppositae (wine-steamed), Shanzhuyu Fructus Corni Officinalis, Cheqianzi Semen Plantaginis, Niuxi Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae.
These are herbs for the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian and Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian. Dahuang is bitter, cold, and potent, capable of purging dry accumulation and dispelling stagnant heat; after steaming and drying, its nature becomes slightly milder, thus it serves as the Sovereign herb;
[Text fragment] moves to the origin... stagnation originates... tonifies Kidney, Tusizi Semen Cuscutae enhances Yang and strengthens Yin, providing supplementation (This formula states: long-term use eliminates all diseases. Yu Jiayan said: Medicines have biased and harsh properties, suitable only for temporary use to search out wind...)
(Li Dongyuan)
Treats latent fire in the intestines and stomach, severe constipation with difficulty in defecation, complete loss of appetite, wind accumulation, and blood accumulation (Wind accumulation refers to wind constipation, caused by wind pathogens clashing with the Lung organs and transmitting to the Large Intestine; those with chronic wind diseases often suffer from constipation; Qi constipation results from failure of qi ascending and descending; Blood constipation results from blood loss, blood deficiency, and insufficient body fluids; Heat constipation results from heat accumulation in the Large Intestine; Cold constipation...)

Dahuang Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Guiwei Radix Angelicae Sinensis Caulis, Qianghuo Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii, Taoren Semen Persicae (crushed), Dama Ren Semen Cannabis Sativae (husked, one liang). Honey pills. Another version includes Fangfeng Radix Saposhnikoviae.
Wind-dampness...
These are herbs for the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian and Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian. Guiwei and Taoren moisten dryness and invigorate blood; Qianghuo searches out wind and disperses pathogens; Dahuang breaks accumulation and opens the orifices; Maren Semen Cannabis Sativae lubricates the intestines and benefits the orifices. Blood... then difficult... use... raw...
Adding Fangfeng Radix Saposhnikoviae and Zaorou Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis to this formula, made into honey pills, named Huoxue Runzao Wan (Blood-Invigorating and Moistening Pill): Treats the same conditions (Zaorou becomes slippery when wet; slipperiness removes dry accumulation naturally.)
Removing Qianghuo Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii from this formula, adding Shengma Rhizoma Cimicifugae Honghua Flos Carthami Tinctorii, Shengdihuang Rhizoma Rehmanniae Recens, and Shudihuang Rhizoma Rehmanniae Praeparata, named Runzao Tang (Moistening Decoction) (All are formulas by Li Dongyuan: Treats the same conditions. The reason for adding Shengma is that one must ascend before one can descend.) Another formula:
