Treats scanty lactation.
Zhu Ti (Pig's Trotter, one piece) Tong Cao (i.e., Mutong; 1 liang). Boil and consume.
This acts on the Foot-Yangming channel. Zhu Ti is salty and can moisten and direct downward; Tong Cao is bland and can unblock orifices.
*Guangji Fang*: Use four pig's trotters, boil to extract juice, add Tu Gua Gen (Trichosanthes Radix), Lou Lu (Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba), and Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis), each 3 liang. Tu Gua and Lou Lu both promote menstruation and lactation. Add a small amount of rice, scallion, and fermented soybean, cook into a thin porridge and eat: treats the same condition. Alternatively, take Yi Yuan San with Zhu Ti Tang decoction, comb the breasts with a wooden comb, and milk will flow naturally. (Also: Shan Jia Chuan [Manis Squama]

Treats Blood-Wind Lao (Blood-Wind Lao refers to empty and loose blood vessels, contracting wind pathogen, presenting with alternating chills and fever, night sweats, and restless tossing and turning, which eventually forms Lao syndrome).
Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) Suan Zao Ren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen, stir-fried) Bie Jia (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, processed with child's urine) Ling Yang Jiao (Saiga Tataricae Cornu) Zhi Ke (Aurantii Fructus) Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix) Jing Jie (Schizonepetae Herba, 5 fen) Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried) Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 3 fen). Add ginger and decoct.
This acts on the Foot-Taiyin, Foot-Jueyin, and Hand-Shaoyin channels. Chen Laizhang said: Wind in the blood is dispersed by Jing Jie and Fang Feng; Excess wood generating wind is pacified by Ling Yang Jiao and Chai Hu; Yin deficiency with heat is nourished by Di Huang and Bie Jia; Qi and blood pain/stagnation and irregular menstruation are regulated by Xiong, Dang Gui, Gui Xin, and Zhi Ke.

Treats menstruation that stops after starting, with scanty blood and mental fatigue (Women are prone to sentimentality and often have many worries. Excessive worry damages the Heart; Heart damage impairs blood generation leading to blood deficiency. Blood deficiency means the Liver has nothing to store, causing the Chong and Ren meridians to wither, thus amenorrhea occurs. The Classic states: "When menstruation does not come, it is because the Bao Mai [Uterine Vessels] are closed." The Bao Mai belongs to the Heart and connects to the Kidney...)
Bai Zi Ren (Biota Seed, oil removed) Niu Xi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, wine-soaked) Juan Bai (Selaginellae Tenuifoliae Herba, 5 qian) Ze Lan (Lycopus Lucidus Herba) Xu Duan (Dipsaci Radix, 2 liang) Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, 1 liang).
Make honey pills.
This acts on the Hand-Foot Shaoyin and Hand-Foot Jueyin channels. Bai Zi Ren calms the spirit and nourishes the Heart; Di Huang, Xu Duan, and Niu Xi tonify the Liver and Kidney and benefit the Chong and Ren meridians; Juan Bai and Ze Lan invigorate blood vessels and unblock amenorrhea (Juan Bai raw breaks blood, roasted stops bleeding. Li Shizhen said: Women take blood as their foundation. When Tianzhen Qi descends, blood vessels flow smoothly...)

Regarding the theory of depleting Qi to benefit Blood, although this is an important method in Gynecology, Qi and Blood are paired. If Qi is hot, heat manifests; if Qi is cold, cold manifests; if Qi ascends, it ascends; if Qi descends, it descends; if Qi moves, it moves; if Qi stagnates, it stagnates. Only in cases where constrained fire Qi is abundant in the blood should Dan Xiang Fu San or Yi Qi San be used, adding Mu Xiang, Bing Lang, and Zhi Ke to move Qi and open depression; if Qi is chaotic, regulate it; if Qi is cold, warm it; if Qi is deficient, tonify it. This applies equally to men and women. When Yang generates, Yin grows naturally; when Qi is depleted, Blood also dries up. How can one specifically deplete Qi?).
