Treats the attack of deficient Yang rising upward, dysfunction of Qi ascending and descending, presenting as excess above and deficiency below, with copious phlegm-saliva, wheezing, coughing, or hematemesis, or constipation. (The Lung governs Qi; when Lung Qi is deficient and Fire is excessive, Qi rises and Phlegm surges, resulting in either wheezing or coughing, and even hematemesis in severe cases; Fire flaring up depletes body fluids, leading to only ascending without descending, thus causing constipation. There are also cases of constipation due to Qi pain; after using purgatives, it heals, but if unrelieved or temporarily relieved then relapsed into constipation, leading to hematochezia, one should also regulate Qi; when Qi flows smoothly, it will naturally pass, so warm-natured formulas should be sought.)

This is a formula for the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian. *Perillae Fructus*, *Peucedani Radix*, *Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex*, *Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium*, and *Pinelliae Rhizoma* all can descend rebellious Qi and dispel Phlegm; when Qi moves, Phlegm moves; these herbs can also release the exterior, thereby dispersing internal stagnation and scattering external Cold simultaneously (Wind-Phlegm congestion often accompanies external contraction); *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* moistens to harmonize Blood; *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* is sweet to moderate the Middle Jiao; due to deficiency below and excess above, *Cinnamomi Cortex* is used to guide Fire back to its source (*Yuan*). (*Yu Ji Wei Yi* states: This is a formula to dissipate stagnation and harmonize the center. *Zhun Sheng* states: Bleeding from the mouth and nose is caused by excess above and deficiency below, with only ascending and no descending, where Blood follows Qi rising; the treatment method should first regulate Qi; when Qi descends, Blood returns to its vessels. It is suitable to use *Suzi Jiangqi Tang* adding *Ginseng Radix* and *Oncorhynchus Mykiss Gelatin* [Ejiao] each 1 qian, combined with *Xia Yangzheng Dan*. Wang Ang notes: The formula contains many Qi-breaking and exterior-releasing herbs, as well as *Pinelliae Rhizoma* and *Cinnamomi Cortex*, Blood...
