不论所服何毒，急取灶心土为末，冷水调服方寸匕。（地浆亦佳，见砒霜毒。）或以甘草
浓煎汁，多饮之。（须放冷冻饮料，毒乃解。以下诸药皆然。）又食蜜少许，佳。又服葱涎，或煮大
豆汁服亦可。又浓煎荠 汁饮之，不及煮，便嚼食亦得。又方生麦冬（八两，去心、葱白
八两，捣，）豉三升，水七升，煮取三升半，分三服。又荠 一分、蓝叶花（七月七日取叶并
花阴干，二分。）共捣末，水调服方寸匕，日三。又板蓝根（干者四两，洗净晒干）、贯众（一两，
锉去毛），青黛（研）、生甘草（各一两。）为末，蜜丸或水浸蒸饼丸，桐子大。另以青黛为衣，
每服十五丸，嚼烂，新水送下即解。常服三五丸，亦解暑热。又紫金锭冷水磨服，
孕妇忌之。如欲死，急取新小便，和厕旁久屎一升，绞取汁一升，尽灌之便活。已
死者亦可救。（参下蕈毒条取粪汁法。）
砒霜毒∶羊血及鸡鸭血热服。蓝根、砂糖擂水服，入薄荷汁尤妙。（亦治巴豆毒。）绿
豆擂浆，新汲水调，通口服。真靛花一二钱，井花水浓调灌。豆豉煎浓汁饮。（亦治服
药过剂烦闷。）芭蕉根捣汁饮。掘地至黄土，入新汲水搅浊取出，滤去滓（不必澄清）饮之，并
解蕈毒。（名地浆。）
巴豆毒∶黄连、菖蒲、小豆、大豆汁、芭蕉根汁，并解之。
野狼毒毒∶白蔹、盐、蓝汁，并解之。
藜芦毒∶雄黄、葱汁，并解之。
芫花毒∶防风、防己、甘草 桂枝汁，并解之。
踯躅花毒∶栀子汁解之。
射冈毒∶蓝汁、大小豆汁、六畜血、蚯蚓屎、藕汁，并解之。
莨菪毒∶荠 、甘草、升麻、犀角、蟹汁，并解之。
半夏毒∶生姜汁解之。
大戟毒∶菖蒲汁解之。
附子、天雄、乌头毒∶大豆、绿豆各数合，煎浓汁饮。又远志、防风、枣、饴
糖，并解之。
杏仁毒∶蓝子汁解之。
川椒毒∶（闭口者有毒，戟喉能杀人。）食蒜，或饮地浆。或浓煎豆豉汁饮，并解之。
雄黄毒∶防己解之。
丹砂毒∶盐五钱，冷水调澄，旋服。
丹毒∶地浆良。食蚌肉解丹石毒。
五石毒∶荠 汁生服。
吞金屑未绝者∶水银一两放口中摇动，令下咽入腹，金即消灭成泥而出，三服即活。
漆毒∶捣蟹汁涂。
蕈毒∶忍冬草（即金银花。）生啖。人粪汁饮一升。（截竹筒去青皮，浸粪窖中，
取筒内汁。）大豆
煮浓汁饮之。细茶芽研，新汲水调服。石首鱼或鲞鱼头，白水煮汁服。荷叶杀蕈毒。
苦瓠毒∶黍穣煮汁服解之。
面毒、豆腐毒∶并用萝卜煎汤服，子亦可。
六畜肉毒及一切药毒∶白扁豆生晒干为末，新汲水调下三钱匕。
鸟兽中毒箭死者有毒∶大豆煮汁及蓝汁服，解之。
牛肉毒∶人乳合豉浓汁服。
马肉毒∶香豉（二两）、杏仁（三两）同蒸，一食顷熟，捣服，日再。又方，煮芦根汁饮之。
郁肉、（密器盖肉经宿者也。）漏脯毒∶（经屋漏水粘着之脯肉也。）烧犬屎，酒服方寸匕。饮人乳
或韭汁二三升良。
六畜肝毒∶（凡肝不宜食，自死者尤毒。）豆豉水浸绞汁，旋服。治马肝毒，雄鼠屎（尖
者是。）二七枚为末，水和服，日再。又人头垢取方寸匕，酒调服。
河豚毒∶五倍子、白矾（等分）为末，水调服。或多饮清油吐之。
蟹毒∶紫苏煮汁，饮三升。冬瓜汁，饮二升。
食果中毒∶猪骨 为末，服方寸匕。亦治马肝、漏脯等毒。
蛇遗精水中，误服中毒，并治蛇咬∶水调雄黄末饮之。（蛇咬，兼涂伤处。）蛇咬，水
洗头垢稠浓（一云泔洗。）饱饮。
虫毒∶国中尚在膈上者宜吐，白矾、建茶（各二钱）为末，新汲水调，顿服即吐。又
此药入口，觉甘甜不苦，可验是毒也。或令唾水，沉者是，浮者非。或含银器口中，
经宿色黑者是。若在膈下宜泻，麝香（二钱半，别研）、雄黄、朱砂（水飞，俱另研）。
赤脚蜈蚣、
（微炙，去足）、续随子（各一两）。共为末，煮糯米粥丸，如芡实大，每服一丸，热酒下
即泻出。
又方，败鼓皮、蚕蜕纸（各烧存性）、刺 皮、五倍子、续随子、朱砂（飞）、雄黄（飞，各等分）
为末，糯米稀糊丸，桐子大，每服七丸，空心熟水送下。又升麻、桔梗、栝蒌（各
五两）。捣末，先以熟汤洗患者阴中，再以汤调方寸匕，日二服，渐加至二三
匕，毒即内消。忌食粘物及猪肉。又方，鼓皮、（阔五寸，长一尺）。蔷薇根、（五寸，如足拇趾
大，细切。）水一升，清酒三升，煮取一升，顿服下，其毒即愈。又方，荠 根为末，
饮服方寸匕。又方，生栝蒌根取汁一升，和酱汁少许，温服之，须臾吐出虫，
甚验。又方，胡荽根捣取汁半升，和酒饮之，立下。又方，以猪胆导下部，良。若
吐血或下血如烂鸡肝者，茜根、 荷根，（各三两。）水四升，煮取二升，去滓顿服愈。
又方， 皮烧灰，水服方寸匕，即吐出之。又方，酒服桔梗末（加犀角末更佳）方寸匕，日
三服，不能服可灌之。心中当烦，须臾自静，有顷下，服至七日止，食猪脾补之。
又治五虫，一曰蛇，二曰蜣螂，三曰虾蟆，四曰科斗，五曰草虫，细切胎衣晒干为
末，水服半钱匕即消。或含升麻，咽汁亦佳。
岚瘴恶气毒∶犀角、羚羊角、雄黄、麝香解之。又甘草二两，水三升，煮一升，
分服。
井中毒∶凡五六月，井中及深冢中，皆伏有毒瓦斯。欲入者，先以鸡鸭毛投之，
直下至底则无毒，若徘徊不下必有毒矣。亦可纳生鸡鸭于其中试之，不死者无毒也。
又须以酒或醋数升洒其四旁，良久乃入。如中毒郁闷欲死，即取其井中水洗其面，
令饮之，又灌其头及身，即活。若其井无水，即他井亦可。一云∶他井洒身上，至
三食顷便活。东井取西井，南井取北井。
无论服用的是什么毒物，应立即取灶心土研成粉末，用冷水调匀后服用一方寸匕。（地浆效果也很好，见砒霜毒条目。）或者用甘草浓煎汁液，大量饮用。（必须放凉至冷冻状态饮用，毒才能解除。以下各种药物也都需如此处理。）再吃少许蜂蜜，效果更佳。或者服用葱的汁液，或者煮大豆汁服用也可以。再浓煎荠菜汁饮用，不煮直接嚼食也可以。另一个方子：生麦冬（八两，去心）、葱白（八两，捣碎），豆豉（三升），水七升，煮取三升半，分三次服用。还有荠菜一份、蓝叶花（七月七日采集叶子和花阴干，两份）共研成粉末，用水调服一方寸匕，每日三次。还有板蓝根（干品四两，洗净晒干）、贯众（一两，锉去毛）、青黛（研细）、生甘草（各一两），研成粉末，用蜜做成丸药或用水浸泡蒸饼做成丸药，如梧桐子大。另外用青黛做外衣，每次服用十五丸，嚼烂后用新汲水送下，毒即解。常服三五丸，也能解除暑热。还有紫金锭用冷水磨服，孕妇忌用。如果中毒想死，立即取新鲜小便，混合厕所旁陈旧的粪便一升，绞取汁液一升，全部灌入即可救活。已经死亡的人也可以抢救。（参考下面蕈毒条中取粪汁的方法。）
砒霜中毒：热服羊血及鸡鸭血。板蓝根、砂糖研磨加水服用，加入薄荷汁尤其妙。（也治疗巴豆中毒。）绿豆研磨成浆，用新汲取的水调匀，通口服下。真靛花一二钱，井花水浓调灌服。豆豉煎浓汁饮用。（也治疗服药过量导致的烦闷。）芭蕉根捣汁饮用。挖掘地面直到黄土层，加入新汲取的水搅浑后取出，过滤去渣滓（不必澄清）饮用，并可以解除蕈毒。（称为地浆。）
巴豆中毒：黄连、石菖蒲、赤小豆、大豆汁、芭蕉根汁，都能解毒。
附子、天雄、乌头中毒：大豆、绿豆各数合，煎浓汁饮用。还有远志、防风、枣、饴糖，都能解毒。
川椒中毒：（闭口者有毒，刺喉能杀人。）吃蒜，或者饮用地浆。或者浓煎豆豉汁饮用，都能解毒。
吞食金屑未排出的：将一两水银放入口中摇动，令其吞咽入腹，金子就会消灭变成泥状排出，服用三次即可救活。
蕈毒：忍冬草（即金银花）生吃。人粪汁饮用一升。（截取竹筒去掉青皮，浸入粪窖中，取筒内汁液。）大豆煮浓汁饮用。细茶芽研末，新汲取的水调服。石首鱼或鲞鱼头，白水煮汁服用。荷叶能杀蕈毒。
六畜肉毒及一切药毒：白扁豆生晒干燥研成粉末，新汲取的水调下三钱匕。
马肉毒：香豉（二两）、杏仁（三两）同蒸，一顿饭工夫熟透，捣碎服用，每日两次。另一个方子，煮芦根汁饮用。
郁肉（用密闭容器盖住肉过夜的东西）、漏脯毒（经屋顶漏水粘着的肉干）：烧狗屎，酒服一方寸匕。饮用人乳或韭汁二三升良好。
六畜肝毒：（凡是肝脏不宜食用，自死的尤其有毒。）豆豉水浸绞汁，随即服用。治疗马肝毒，雄鼠屎（尖头的是）二十一枚研成粉末，和水服用，每日两次。还有人头垢取一方寸匕，酒调服。
河豚中毒：五倍子、白矾（等分）研成粉末，水调服用。或者多饮清油使其呕吐。
食果中毒：猪骨研成粉末，服用一方寸匕。也治疗马肝、漏脯等毒。
蛇遗精在水中，误服中毒，以及治疗蛇咬伤：水调雄黄粉末饮用。（蛇咬伤，兼涂伤口处。）蛇咬伤，用水洗头垢稠浓液（一说淘米水）饱饮。
虫毒：毒气尚在膈上的宜用吐法，白矾、建茶（各二钱）研成粉末，新汲取的水调匀，顿服即吐。另外此药入口，感觉甘甜不苦，可验证是毒。或者让人唾水，沉底的是毒，浮起的不算。或者含银器在口中，过夜变黑的是毒。如果在膈下宜用泻法，麝香（二钱半，另研）、雄黄、朱砂（水飞，另研）、赤脚蜈蚣（微炙，去足）、续随子（各一两）。共研成粉末，煮糯米粥做成丸药，如芡实大，每次服用一丸，热酒送下即泻出。
另一个方子，败鼓皮、蚕蜕纸（各烧存性）、刺蒺藜皮、五倍子、续随子、朱砂（飞）、雄黄（飞，各等分）研成粉末，糯米稀糊做成丸药，梧桐子大，每次服用七丸，空腹用熟水送下。还有升麻、桔梗、栝楼（各五两）。研成粉末，先用熟汤清洗患者阴部，再用汤调服一方寸匕，每日两次，逐渐加到二三匕，毒即内消。忌食粘物及猪肉。又一个方子，鼓皮（宽五寸，长一尺）、蔷薇根（五寸，如足拇趾大，细切），水一升，清酒三升，煮取一升，顿服下，其毒即愈。又一个方子，荠菜根研成粉末，饮水服一方寸匕。又一个方子，生栝楼根取汁一升，和少许酱汁，温服之，须臾吐出虫子，非常有效。又一个方子，胡荽根捣取汁半升，和酒饮用，立刻见效。又一个方子，用猪胆导引下部，良好。如果出现吐血或下血如烂鸡肝的情况，茜草根、荷根（各三两），水四升，煮取二升，去渣顿服痊愈。又一个方子，葶苈皮烧灰，水服一方寸匕，即吐出之。又一个方子，酒服桔梗粉末（加犀角粉末更佳）一方寸匕，每日三次服用，不能服者可灌入。心中应当烦闷，须臾自静，不久后泻下，服用至第七日止，吃猪脾补益。
又治疗五种虫，一是蛇，二是蜣螂，三是虾蟆，四是蝌蚪，五是草虫，细切胎衣晒干研成粉末，水服半钱匕即消。或者含升麻，咽汁也好。
岚瘴恶气毒：犀角、羚羊角、雄黄、麝香能解毒。还有甘草二两，水三升，煮取一升，分次服用。
井中毒：凡是五六月间，井中及深墓中，都潜伏有毒瓦斯。想要进入时，先以鸡鸭毛投掷，直下到底则无毒，若徘徊不下必有毒了。也可以放入生鸡鸭在其中试探，不死者无毒。还需要用酒或醋数升洒在其四周，良久之后才进入。如果中毒郁闷欲死，立即取该井中的水洗其面部，令其饮用，又灌其头及身体，即可救活。如果该井无水，其他井也可以。一说：在其他井洒身上，过三顿饭工夫便活。东边的井取西边的井水，南边的井取北边的井水。
Regardless of the poison ingested, immediately take fulgurite (Zao Xin Tu) powder, mix with cold water, and administer one Fang Cun Bi (a traditional Chinese measuring unit). (Di Jiang [Earth Slurry] is also excellent; see Arsenic Poisoning.) Alternatively, decoct Licorice Root (Gan Cao) in concentrated liquid and drink copiously. (Must be cooled to freezing temperature for the poison to be neutralized. The same applies to all subsequent remedies mentioned.) Consuming a small amount of honey is also beneficial. Ingesting scallion juice or boiling soybean juice are also effective. Decoct Shepherd's Purse (Ji Cai) juice for drinking; chewing it raw is also acceptable. Another prescription: Raw Ophiopogon Tuber (Sheng Maidong, 8 liang, heart removed), Scallion White (Cong Bai, 8 liang, pounded), Fermented Soybeans (Chi, 3 sheng), and 7 sheng of water. Boil until 3.5 sheng remains, divided into three doses. Another formula: One part Shepherd's Purse (Ji Cai) and two parts Isatis Leaf and Flower (Lan Ye Hua, harvested on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, leaves and flowers dried in shade). Pound into powder, mix with water, and administer one Fang Cun Bi, three times daily. Another formula: Isatis Root (Ban Lan Gen, dried, 4 liang, washed and sun-dried), Cyathula Root (Guan Zhong, 1 liang, trimmed of hairs), Indigo Naturalis (Qing Dai, ground), and Raw Licorice Root (Sheng Gan Cao, 1 liang each). Grind into powder, form pills with honey or steamed wheat cake soaked in water, size of Sophora seeds (Tong Zi Da). Coat with Indigo Naturalis. Take 15 pills per dose, chew thoroughly, and swallow with fresh well water to neutralize the poison. Regular consumption of 3-5 pills can also relieve summer heat. Zijin Ding (Purple Gold Pill) taken with cold water is effective, but contraindicated in pregnant women. For suicidal intent via poisoning, immediately collect fresh urine, mix with one sheng of old feces from beside the toilet, extract one sheng of juice, and instill completely to revive. Even those already dead may be saved. (Refer to the Mushroom Poisoning section for the method of extracting fecal juice.)
Arsenic Poisoning: Drink hot sheep blood, chicken blood, or duck blood. Grind Isatis Root (Ban Lan Gen) with rock sugar and water; adding mint juice is particularly effective. (Also treats Croton Seed poisoning.) Grind Mung Bean (Lu Dou) into paste, mix with fresh well water, and ingest orally. Use 1-2 qian of true Indigo Flower (Dian Hua), mix thickly with well water, and instill. Decoct Fermented Soybeans (Dou Chi) into concentrated juice for drinking. (Also treats irritability caused by medication overdose.) Crush Banana Root (Ba Jiao Gen) and drink the juice. Dig down to yellow earth, add fresh well water, stir until turbid, remove, filter out dregs (clarification not necessary), and drink. This also resolves mushroom poisoning. (Known as Di Jiang [Earth Slurry].)
Croton Seed Poisoning: Coptis Rhizome (Huang Lian), Acorus Rhizome (Chang Pu), Adzuki Beans (Xiao Dou), Soybean Juice, and Banana Root Juice all resolve this.
Wild Wolfbane Poisoning: Ampelopsis Radix (Bai Lian), Salt, and Isatis Juice all resolve this.
Veratrum Poisoning: Realgar (Xiong Huang) and Scallion Juice both resolve this.
Kadsura Vine Poisoning: Saposhnikovia Root (Fang Feng), Podocarpus Root (Fang Ji), Licorice Root (Gan Cao), and Cinnamon Twig Juice (Gui Zhi Zhi) all resolve this.
Rhododendron Poisoning: Gardenia Juice (Zhi Zi Zhi) resolves this.
Aconitum Poisoning (She Wang): Isatis Juice, Adzuki and Soybean Juices, Blood of Six Livestock, Earthworm Excrement, and Lotus Root Juice all resolve this.
Datura Poisoning: Shepherd's Purse (Ji Cai), Licorice Root (Gan Cao), Cimicifuga Rhizome (Sheng Ma), Rhinoceros Horn (Xi Jiao), and Crab Juice all resolve this.
Pinellia Poisoning: Fresh Ginger Juice (Sheng Jiang Zhi) resolves this.
Euphorbia Poisoning: Acorus Juice (Chang Pu Zhi) resolves this.
Prepared Aconite Root (Fu Zi), Heavenly Aconite (Tian Xiong), and Aconite Root (Wu Tou) Poisoning: Boil several he of Soybeans (Da Dou) and Mung Beans (Lu Dou) in concentrated juice for drinking. Polygala Root (Yuan Zhi), Saposhnikovia Root (Fang Feng), Jujube (Zao), and Malt Sugar (Yi Tang) also resolve this.
Apricot Seed Poisoning: Isatis Seed Juice (Lan Zi Zhi) resolves this.
Sichuan Pepper Poisoning: (Closed-mouth peppers are toxic, causing throat constriction and death.) Eat garlic, or drink Earth Slurry (Di Jiang). Or drink concentrated Fermented Soybean (Dou Chi) juice; all resolve this.
Realgar Poisoning: Podocarpus Root (Fang Ji) resolves this.
Cinnabar Poisoning: Mix 5 qian of salt with cold water, let settle, and drink immediately.
Mineral Stone Poisoning: Earth Slurry (Di Jiang) is good. Eating clam meat resolves mineral stone poison.
Five-Minerals Powder Poisoning: Drink raw Shepherd's Purse (Ji Cai) juice.
Ingestion of Gold Dust Not Yet Expelled: Place 1 liang of Mercury (Shui Yin) in the mouth, shake to induce swallowing into the stomach. The gold will dissolve into mud and exit. Three doses lead to recovery.
Toxic Lacquer Poisoning: Apply crushed Crab Juice externally.
Mushroom Poisoning: Eat Honeysuckle (Ren Dong Cao, i.e., Jin Yin Hua) raw. Drink 1 sheng of Human Fecal Juice (extracted from bamboo tube immersed in cesspool). Drink concentrated Soybean (Da Dou) decoction. Grind fine tea buds, mix with fresh well water, and ingest. Boil heads of Pufferfish or Dried Fish in white water for juice ingestion. Lotus Leaf kills mushroom poison.
Bitter Gourd Poisoning: Decoct Sorghum Husk (Shu Rang) juice to resolve.
Noodle/Fermented Dough Poisoning & Tofu Poisoning: Decoct Radish (Luo Bo) soup for drinking; radish seeds are also effective.
Poison from Six Livestock Meat and All Medicinal Poisons: Grind White Hyacinth Bean (Bai Bian Dou) while raw and sun-dried into powder. Mix with fresh well water and ingest 3 qian Bi.
Poison from Birds/Beasts Killed by Venomous Arrows: Drink Soybean decoction and Isatis Juice to resolve.
Beef Poisoning: Drink Human Milk combined with concentrated Fermented Soybean (Dou Chi) juice.
Horse Meat Poisoning: Steam Fragrant Fermented Soybeans (Xiang Chi, 2 liang) and Apricot Seeds (Xing Ren, 3 liang) together until cooked (approx. one meal time). Pound and ingest. Twice daily. Alternative: Drink Reed Rhizome (Lu Gen) juice.
Stewed Meat Poisoning (Yu Rou, meat covered in sealed vessel overnight) & Leaking Dried Meat Poisoning (Lou Fu, dried meat contaminated by roof leak): Burn Dog Excrement, take 1 Fang Cun Bi with wine. Drinking Human Milk or Chive Juice (2-3 sheng) is beneficial.
Liver Poisoning from Six Livestock: (Liver is generally inadvisable to eat; self-dead animals are especially toxic.) Soak Fermented Soybeans (Dou Chi) in water, wring out juice, and drink immediately. To treat Horse Liver Poisoning: Take 14 male Rat Droppings (Xiong Shu Shi, pointed ones are best), grind to powder, mix with water, and ingest twice daily. Also, take 1 Fang Cun Bi of Head Grease (Ren Tou Gou), mix with wine, and ingest.
Pufferfish Poisoning: Grind Gallnut (Wu Bei Zi) and Alum (Bai Fan) in equal parts into powder, mix with water, and ingest. Or drink plenty of clear oil to induce vomiting.
Crab Poisoning: Decoct Perilla (Zi Su) and drink 3 sheng. Drink Winter Melon (Dong Gua) juice, 2 sheng.
Fruit Poisoning: Grind Pig Bone (Zhu Gu) into powder, ingest 1 Fang Cun Bi. Also treats Horse Liver and Leaking Dried Meat poisons.
Snake Essence in Water Poisoning & Snake Bite: Mix Realgar (Xiong Huang) powder with water and drink. (For snake bites, also apply to wound.) For snake bite, use thick hair-washing water (or rice washing water) to drink until full.
Insect Poison: If toxin is above the diaphragm, induce vomiting. Grind Alum (Bai Fan) and Jian Tea (Jian Cha, 2 qian each) into powder, mix with fresh well water, and take in one dose to induce vomiting. Test for toxicity: If the medicine tastes sweet rather than bitter upon entry, it indicates poison. Spit into water; if it sinks, it is poison. Hold a silver object in the mouth overnight; if it turns black, it is poison. If toxin is below the diaphragm, induce purging. Mix Musk (She Xiang, 2.5 qian, separately ground), Realgar (Xiong Huang), Cinnabar (Zhu Sha, water-ground, separately ground), Red-footed Centipede (Chi Jiao Wu Gong, lightly roasted, legs removed), and Spurge Seed (Xu Sui Zi, 1 liang each). Grind into powder, make pills with glutinous rice porridge, size of Euryale Seed (Qian Shi). Take one pill with hot wine to induce purging.
Alternative Formula: Burn Drum Skin (Bai Gu Pi) and Silkworm Cast Skin (Can Tui Zhi) until charred but retaining properties. Mix with Tribulus Fruit Skin (Ci Li Pi), Gallnut (Wu Bei Zi), Spurge Seed (Xu Sui Zi), Cinnabar (Zhu Sha, flown), and Realgar (Xiong Huang, flown, equal parts). Grind into powder, make pills with thin glutinous rice paste, size of Sophora seeds. Take 7 pills on an empty stomach with warm water. Another formula: Cimicifuga Rhizome (Sheng Ma), Platycodon Root (Jie Geng), Trichosanthes Root (Gua Lou, 5 liang each). Grind into powder. First wash patient's genital area with warm water, then mix powder with water, ingest 1 Fang Cun Bi, twice daily, gradually increasing to 2-3 Bi until poison dissipates internally. Avoid sticky foods and pork. Another formula: Drum Skin (5 cun wide, 1 chi long), Rose Root (Qiang Wei Gen, 5 cun, size of big toe, finely cut), 1 sheng water, 3 sheng clear wine. Boil to 1 sheng, take in one dose to cure. Another formula: Grind Shepherd's Purse Root (Ji Cai Gen) into powder, take 1 Fang Cun Bi with water. Another formula: Extract 1 sheng juice from raw Trichosanthes Root (Gua Lou Gen), mix with a little sauce, take warm. Vomiting worms shortly after is highly effective. Another formula: Crush Coriander Root (Hu Sui Gen), extract 0.5 sheng juice, mix with wine, induces immediate expulsion. Another formula: Use Pig Gallbladder for enema, which is good. If hematemesis or melena resembling rotten chicken liver occurs, decoct Qian Cao Gen (Qian Gen) and He Gen (He Gen, 3 liang each) in 4 sheng water to 2 sheng, remove dregs, and take in one dose to cure. Another formula: Burn Ting Li Pi (Seedpod of Descurainia), take 1 Fang Cun Bi with water to induce vomiting. Another formula: Take 1 Fang Cun Bi of Platycodon Powder (Jie Geng Mo) with wine (adding Rhinoceros Horn powder is better), three times daily. If unable to swallow, instill. Heart palpitations may occur initially but subside quickly, followed by purging. Continue for seven days, then tonify with Pig Spleen.
Another treatment for five types of insects: 1. Snake, 2. Dung Beetle, 3. Toad, 4. Tadpole, 5. Grass Insect. Finely chop placenta, sun-dry, grind to powder, take half a Qian Bi with water to dissolve. Chewing Cimicifuga Rhizome (Sheng Ma) and swallowing juice is also good.
Mountain Miasma and Evil Qi Poison: Rhinoceros Horn (Xi Jiao), Antelope Horn (Ling Yang Jiao), Realgar (Xiong Huang), and Musk (She Xiang) resolve this. Also, decoct 2 liang of Licorice Root (Gan Cao) in 3 sheng water to 1 sheng, divide and take.
Well Poisoning: During May and June, poisonous gases accumulate in wells and deep tombs. Before entering, throw chicken or duck feathers in. If they sink directly to the bottom, there is no poison; if they hover, poison is present. Alternatively, place live chickens or ducks inside; if they survive, there is no poison. Sprinkle several sheng of wine or vinegar around the well perimeter, wait a while, then enter. If poisoned and feeling suffocated near death, wash face with well water, drink it, and pour over head and body to revive. If the well has no water, use another well. One method says: splash water from another well on the body; recovery occurs after three meals. Use west well water for east well, north well water for south well.
