Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 5 fen) Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, washed with decoction, 1.5 qian) Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 1 qian) Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) Chuanpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) Huangqi (Astragali Radix) Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma) Baifuling (Poria, 5 fen each) Shenqu (Massa Medicata Fermentata, 1 qian, stir-fried) Damai (Hordei Fructus, 1.5 qian) Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 3 fen) Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, 2 fen). The above herbs are coarsely crushed. For each dose, take 0.5 liang, add two zhong of water, decoct to one zhong, remove the dregs, and take hot before meals.

Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 1 liang) Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, half sheng, washed) Gualoushi (Trichosanthis Fructus, one large fruit). Add six sheng of water, first decoct Gualoushi to obtain three sheng, remove the dregs, add the other herbs, decoct to obtain two sheng, remove the dregs, and divide into three warm doses.

Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, half jin, bitter and cold) Tingli (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii Semen, half sheng, processed, bitter and cold) Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, half jin, salty and cold) Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, half jin, peeled and removed of pits, processed until black, bitter, sweet, and warm). Take the above four ingredients, sift two of them, add Xingren and Mangxiao, grind together until pasty, and mix into a powder. Take one pill-sized portion (size of a bullet), separately grind Gansui end (Kansui Radix) powder to one qian bi, add Ermi (white honey) two he, and two sheng of water. Decoct to obtain one sheng, take warm in one dose. Bowel movement will occur after one night; if not, administer again. Effectiveness is indicated by smooth evacuation.
