第二味药：味道甘酸，性质寒（大寒），无毒。主治青盲（视力减退或失明）、耳聋，明目，通畅九窍，疏通血脉，滋养精神，补益肝气。治疗眼睛红肿疼痛，去除眼部翳膜，止住流泪，通利水道，下乳汁，疏通关节，破除坚硬积聚。长期服用可使身体轻盈延年不老，使人记忆力增强，志向高远，如神仙一般。该药能将铜、铁、铅、锡转化为金。产于益州山谷以及越山有铜矿的地方，铜精熏蒸则生成空青，其内部中空。三月中旬采集，也有其他时间采集的。
第三味药：味道酸，性质寒，无毒。主治补益元气，治疗鼻渊（鼻塞流涕），止泻痢。产于山的阴面洞穴中，颜色青白。
第四味药：味道酸，性质小寒，无毒。主治眼痛，止住流泪，治疗风痹，通利关节，通畅九窍，破除癥瘕坚硬积聚，滋养肝胆，去除寒热症状，杀死白虫。治疗头风及脑中寒邪，止烦渴。补益不足，盛壮阴气。长期服用可使身体轻盈不老。该药能转化金铜。产于蜀中山谷及越地，采集没有固定时间。
第五味药：味道甘、酸、咸，性质平，无毒。主治明目，通利九窍，治疗耳聋，清除心下的邪气。能引起呕吐。杀死各种毒物和寄生虫。长期服用可通灵达神，身体轻盈延年不老。可熔化制成铜剑，辟除兵器伤害。产于豫章山谷，采集没有固定时间。
第六味药：味道甘甜，性质平，无毒。主治眼痛，明目，治疗跌打骨折及痈肿，金疮久不愈合，破除积聚，解毒瓦斯，通利精神，治疗寒热风痹，以及男性尿道中的各种疾病，补益精气。长期服用可使身体轻盈不老。产于朱崖山谷，以及武都、朱提等地，采集没有固定时间。
First substance: Sweet in taste, slightly cold in nature, non-toxic. It primarily treats diseases of the five zang organs and various ailments of the body, nourishes the spirit (Shen), calms the soul (Hun) and魄 (Po), supplements primordial qi (Yuan Qi), brightens the eyes, and unblocks the blood vessels (Xue Mai). It stops irritability and fullness, alleviates Xiao Ke (wasting-thirst syndrome), enhances mental clarity, and improves facial luster. It kills spirits, demons, and evil ghosts, removes Zhong E (sudden severe illness due to pathogenic factors), abdominal pain, and toxic vapors, and treats Jie (scabies) and various sores. Long-term consumption promotes spiritual illumination, prevents aging, and makes the body light as if one were an immortal. It can be transformed into mercury; when ground into powder, it is called "Zhen Zhu" (True Cinnabar), with a luster like mica; those that can be separated are of superior quality. It grows in the valleys of Fuling, and can be harvested at any time.
Second substance: Sweet and sour in taste, cold (very cold) in nature, non-toxic. It primarily treats Qing Mang (blindness or dim vision) and deafness, brightens the eyes, unblocks the nine orifices, unblocks the blood vessels, nourishes the spirit, and supplements Liver Qi. It treats redness and pain in the eyes, removes corneal opacity (Yi), stops tearing, promotes urination, induces lactation, unblocks joints, and breaks down hard accumulations. Long-term consumption makes the body light, extends life, prevents aging, enhances memory, elevates aspirations, and leads to an immortal-like state. It can transform copper, iron, lead, and tin into gold. It grows in the valleys of Yizhou and in Yue mountains where copper exists; when fumigated by copper essence, it forms Kong Qing (Void Green Malachite), which is hollow inside. It is harvested in mid-March, but also at other times.
Third substance: Sour in taste, cold in nature, non-toxic. It primarily supplements qi and treats Qiu Bi (rhinitis/nasal obstruction), stopping diarrhea and dysentery. It grows in caves on the shady side of mountains, with a greenish-white color.

It primarily treats eye pain, stops tearing, treats Feng Bi (wind-bi syndrome/arthralgia), benefits the joints, unblocks the nine orifices, breaks down Zheng Jia (masses) and hard accumulations, nourishes the Liver and Gallbladder, eliminates chills and fever, and kills white parasites. It treats Tou Feng (head wind) and cold in the brain, and stops irritability and thirst. It supplements deficiencies and strengthens Yin Qi. Fifth substance: Sweet, sour, and salty in taste, neutral in nature, non-toxic. It primarily brightens the eyes, unblocks the nine orifices, treats deafness, and clears evil qi from beneath the heart. It induces vomiting. It kills various toxins and intestinal parasites. Long-term consumption promotes spiritual illumination, makes the body light, and extends life. It can be melted to make bronze swords and repels weapons. It grows in the valleys of Yuzhang, and can be harvested at any time.
Sixth substance: Sweet in taste, neutral in nature, non-toxic. It primarily treats eye pain, brightens the eyes, treats fractures and sores, heals non-healing traumatic wounds (Jin Chuang), breaks down accumulations, detoxifies vapors, benefits the spirit, treats cold-heat and wind-bi syndromes, and various diseases of the male urethra, supplementing Jing (Essence). Long-term consumption makes the body light and prevents aging. It grows in the valleys of Zhuya, as well as in Wudu and Zhuti, and can be harvested at any time.
