Prescription: Zi Shiqing (Fluorite), Bai Shiqing (White Fluorite), Chishizhi (Red Kaolin), Zhongru (Stalactite), Shi Liuhuang (Native Sulfur), Hai Ge (Clam Shell) (all ground); Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Gualou (Trichosanthes Fruit) (each 2.5 liang); Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) (0.7 fen); Renshen (Ginseng Root) (3 liang); Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Xixin (Asarum Root), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig) (each 0.5 fen); Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Lateralis Radix) (prepared, 0.3 fen, peeled).
The above fifteen ingredients are crushed, sifted into a powder, and taken with wine, one fangcun bi (a square-inch measure) per dose, twice daily. Dosage adjustments should be made according to circumstances. There is no case where it fails to work. If heat, vexation, and stuffiness occur, wash the face, hands, feet, and body with cold water, or bathe the whole body. If feeling hot, remove Shi Liuhuang (Native Sulfur) and Chishizhi (Red Kaolin); this variant is called Sansheng Gengsheng San (Three Minerals Revitalizing Powder), also known as Hanshi San (Cold Food Powder), originating from He Hou. Divide one liang into three thin portions; take one portion after moving one zhang (approx. 3.3 meters) distance, and another portion after moving two zhang distances.
Treats deficiency consumption and hundred diseases, emaciation, cough and shortness of breath, heat in the bones, vexing pain in the four limbs, borborygmus and colic, difficulty in urination and defecation, red-yellow urine, persistent severe pain around the umbilicus, dizziness and vertigo, aversion to wind and cold with bi-syndrome, indigestion, xiao-ke (wasting-thirst) with vomiting, chest and hypochondriac fullness with dyspnea, generalized edema, heaviness and inability to flex/extend, cyanotic lips, cold extremities, toothache, wind-stroke in postpartum women, large intestine cold, blurred vision in the elderly, aversion to wind requiring head coverings, wearing thick clothes near fire, back and spine pain. It treats various diseases, too numerous to record, with excellent efficacy. Long-term use strengthens qi and vitality, prolongs life.
Prescription: Zi Shiqing (Fluorite) (select purple ones shaped like chupu dice as superior grade), Bai Shiqing (White Fluorite) (select arrow-spin shapes as superior grade), Zhongru (Stalactite) (extremely white milky color as superior grade), Shi Liuhuang (Native Sulfur) (dry yellow color, burning leaves ash), Chishizhi (Red Kaolin), Hai Ge (Clam Shell), Gualou (Trichosanthes Fruit) (each 2.5 liang); Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) (each 1.5 liang); Renshen (Ginseng Root), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Xixin (Asarum Root) (each 0.5 fen); Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Hei Fuzi (Black Prepared Aconite Lateralis Radix) (prepared, peeled), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig) (each 0.3 fen).
The above fifteen ingredients must be fresh and high-quality, each crushed and sifted separately, then mixed into a powder. Two liang constitute one dose, divided into three thin portions. Take one portion with clean, warm pure wine. After moving one zhang distance, take another portion. After finishing all three portions, wait a moment, then wash hands and feet with cold water. Once the medicinal power circulates and bi-syndrome resolves, bathe thoroughly with cold water. When the medicinal power fully circulates and the body cools down, the mind becomes clear, and the illness heals. Even those bedridden due to weakness recover within a day. People vary in strength and drug tolerance. For weak individuals, eat a little before taking medicine; for strong individuals, eating is unnecessary. Some may not experience circulation even after three doses. If the patient has stagnation, first administer Xiaoshi Dahuang Wan (Niter and Rheum Pill) to purge, then take the powder. After taking the medicine, engage in moderate labor. If too weak to walk, support them to walk. Maintain cold food, cold sleeping, and cold clothing; greater cold is better. If the cold effect of the medicine has not yet manifested, do not bathe, as bathing increases cold sensation, blocks the medicine, causes trembling, and induces shivering. In such cases, drink warm wine, rise, jump, massage, exert effort, and once warm, bathe to resolve the condition, but do not overdo it. Feed frequently, day and night, six to seven times a day. Lack of food and drink causes cold; eating provides warmth. For elderly, children with rising qi, or postpartum women unable to rise, keep head coverings and thick clothes near fire; after taking medicine, remove coverings and clothes, and proceed with cold water treatment as described, without doubt. Deficient persons are easy to treat and suit this medicine; excess-type persons should not take it. Although effective and doubling strength, it is difficult to manage. The key lies in proper care and monitoring. One must focus, avoid negligence, cut off social interactions, and only those with chronic bedridden conditions, untreatable by doctors, and suffering from weariness/spiritual exhaustion, should take it. Those with minor illnesses unable to self-labor will likely violate regulations; do not take it. Only after severe purgation for Shanghan (Cold Damage) should it be taken, accompanied by drinking large amounts of cold water. For postpartum wind-stroke with body stiffness and pain preventing movement, take one dose with warm wine, then bathe in cold water to cure. After bathing, if minor bi-syndrome remains, bathe thoroughly with cold water. Initially, slight cold discomfort is expected; after contact with water, comfort follows. Eat and drink frequently. If still uneasy, bathe again. With severe illness, water should remain on the body. If symptoms are localized (vexation, heat, cold, bi-syndrome, dizziness, abdominal fullness), wash the affected area with cold water. Bathe day and night until the medicinal power fully acts. This medicine does not induce vomiting; pain alleviates through cooling. If upper diaphragm fullness causes urge to vomit, eat less cold food to settle. Post-medication, stool color changes (green-black) are normal drug effects; do not be alarmed. If intense heat and uncontrollable vomiting occur, induce vomiting but avoid extreme distress; resume dosing next morning. Late bathing causes loss of medicinal momentum and unmanageable cold. Early bathing blocks cold effect; late bathing causes vomiting chaos; timing must be appropriate. Cold requires exertion then warm washing; vomiting requires immediate cold washing. Hunger-induced cold is resolved by warm food. Maintain coldness, avoid fire. Mistakenly changing clothes or sleeping in warmth is adverse. All food must be cold; only wine should be heated. Recovery takes one month or twenty days. Drink wine to maintain a warm, continuous internal sensation. Use pure wine; thin or white wine causes confusion. For phlegm-fluid retention or masses, purge first, then take medicine.
