[Eleven Formulas]
**Formula 1:** Indicated for men suffering from severe trauma, or injuries from falling from heights resulting in damage to the five zang organs. Mild cases present with hemoptysis (coughing up blood), while severe cases involve hematemesis (vomiting blood) and bleeding from metal wounds, or internal rupture of meridians.
Ingredients: Ejiao (Glue Donkey-Hide, prepared by roasting), Aiye (Mugwort Leaf, prepared by frying), Shaoyao (Peony Root), Dihuang (Rehmannia Root, dried), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome), Gancao (Licorice Root, prepared by roasting). Dosages: Dihuang, Danggui, Ganjiang, Xiong, Gancao are each 3 liang; Ejiao, Aiye, Shaoyao are each 3 liang; [Note: Text lists "each 2 liang" for Danggui/Ganjiang/Xiong/Gancao group but earlier said 3 liang for Di Huang etc. Standard interpretation often aligns groups. Based on text: Ejiao, Aiye, Shaoyao, Dihuang are 3 liang each; Danggui, Ganjiang, Xiong, Gancao are 2 liang each].
Preparation: Coarsely crush the eight herbs. Boil in 8 dou 7 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng. Strain the dregs. Add Ejiao and stir until melted. Divide into two doses. For emaciated patients, divide into three doses. This decoction primarily treats postpartum bleeding in women, metrorrhagia (heavy uterine bleeding), and lower bleeding due to trauma, accompanied by deficiency wheezing resembling death, abdominal pain, and continuous bleeding. It is highly effective. (A formula in *Qianjin Fang* contains only four ingredients.)
**Formula 2:** Indicated for falling from horses or carts, or from trees, resulting in internal hemorrhage, abdominal distension, and shortness of breath.
Ingredients: Dadou (Soybean). Dosage: 5 sheng.
Preparation: Boil the single herb in 1 dou of water until reduced to 2.5 sheng. Remove the beans and drink the liquid in one dose. For severe cases, repeat no more than three times. (*Qianjin Fang* states this treats people falling from carriages or horses, causing accumulated blood in the heart and abdomen, and massive hemoptysis/hematemesis.)
**Formula 3:** Indicated for falling from horses or carts, and various fractures with unceasing pain in arms and legs.
Ingredients: Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizome, fried), Zelan (Grassleaf Fastroot Herb), Shujiao (Sichuan Pepper, remove eyes and closed-mouth ones, sweat them), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig), Fuzi (Aconite Lateralis Radix Praeparata, roasted and peeled), Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted). Dosages: Xiong 1.5 liang; Zelan 1 fen; Guixin, Fuzi 0.5 liang each; Gancao 3 liang.
Preparation: Lightly roast the seven herbs until fragrant, crush, and sieve into a powder. Take one fangcun bi (a measure approx. 1 inch square spoonful) with wine, three times daily. Use for all injuries reaching the bone. Recovery in ten days. Pediatric injuries are treated similarly.
**Formula 4 (Another Formula):**
Ingredients: Huangqi (Astragalus Root), Shaoyao (Peony Root) [Note: Text says "Huang [missing character likely Qi]" and later "Shang Yi Shi Er Wei" (Above twelve items) but lists fewer. **Formula 11 (Another Formula):**
Ingredients: Maogen (Imperata Rhizome).
Preparation: Cut, crush, and squeeze out the juice. Take 1 sheng mixed with warm wine, three times daily. Highly effective.
