Twelve Methods
If the Yang pulse at the Guan position of the left hand is absent, it indicates the disappearance of the Gallbladder pulse. The patient suffers from a tasteless mouth (another version says squinting eyes), fear as if seeing ghosts, frequent fright, and weakness. Treatment involves needling the Foot Jueyin Meridian; the acupoint is located between the big toe, or needling the "San Mao" area (i.e., Dadun, LR1).
If the Yang pulse at the Guan position of the left hand is excess, it indicates Gallbladder Excess Syndrome. The patient suffers from abdominal discomfort and trembling of the body. Treatment involves needling the Foot Shaoyang Meridian. The acupoint is located one cun posterior to the base of the second toe.
Five cun lateral to the Dan Shu (BL19) acupoint is named Zhuo Yu. It primarily treats Gallbladder disease in the chest. The number of moxa cones should correspond to the patient's age.
For Gallbladder Deficiency, moxibustion is applied to the point one fu above the medial malleolus, named Sanyinjiao (SP6), with twenty cones.
Methods for treating hematemesis:
For hematemesis caused by deficiency consumption, apply three hundred moxa cones to Weiguan (CV12). This method also treats vomiting blood due to rebellious Qi, irregular eating habits (eating little but often becoming full), and lethargy associated with various diseases.
For bleeding from the mouth and nose, termed Naocnu (brain epistaxis), apply fifty moxa cones to Shangxing (GV23).
For hematemesis and hemoptysis, apply one hundred moxa cones to Xiong Tang. Acupuncture is contraindicated.
For hematemesis accompanied by abdominal pain and borborygmus, apply one hundred moxa cones to Tianshu (ST25).
For hematemesis and hemoptysis accompanied by rebellious Qi and cough, apply moxa cones to Fei Shu (BL13), with the number corresponding to the patient's age.

For hematemesis, apply fourteen moxa cones (two sets of seven) to the neck and nape region.
Eighteen Methods
Moxibustion is applied to Xin Shu (BL15), two sets of seven cones per side, primarily treating Heart disease. The dosage should be reduced for the elderly and children. For symptoms such as inability to eat, chest fullness, rebellious Qi above the diaphragm, and stifling heat, moxibustion is indicated.
For sudden Heart Colic with severe pain and sweating, needle Dadun (LR1). Treat the left side for right-sided symptoms and vice versa. For males, needle the left side; for females, the right side. Releasing blood upon needling leads to immediate relief.

For patients with a sallow and withered complexion, loss of essence due to overwork, shoulder and back pain, and inability to raise hands above the head, apply one hundred moxa cones to Jianyu (LI15). The acupoint is located at the lateral end of the acromion, slightly posterior, where an indentation can be felt upon pressure.
One cun below the heart center is named Juque (CV14). It primarily treats chest oppression and pain, rebellious Qi, and cold sensation radiating to the lower abdomen. Apply two sets of seven cones (fourteen cones).
When the pulse is imperceptible, needle the two Rongbu (ST18) acupoints, located one cun five fen lateral to Youmen (CV14).
For forgetfulness and mental confusion, needle Jianshi (PC5) to a depth of five fen, located three cun above the transverse crease of the wrist.
For mental restlessness (Ao Nu), pain extending through the back, and irritability with rebellious Qi, apply one hundred moxa cones to Xin Shu (BL15).
