This condition often occurs on the neck and head/face, spreading gradually and enlarging, resembling tinea (ringworm) but without sores. Treatment method: First wash and wipe the lesion. Scrape it with a bamboo comb to induce a stinging pain. After wiping dry, apply Gan Manli Yu Zhi (Dry Mackerel Oil). Mild cases heal after one application; severe cases within three applications.
Paralysis refers to the inability to move the four limbs, numbness and insensitivity of the skin, and contracture of tendons and bones. The treatment method must vary according to the cause of the disease:
If caused by Wind-Stroke (Zhong Feng), use:
Linglijia (Pangolin Scales), Chuan Wutou (Chuanwu, Processed Aconiti Radix), Honghaiha [Note: Likely a specific local herb or typo, transliterated as Honghaiha] each 2 liang.
Grind into powder. Use half a liang each time. Crush Congbai (Scallion White) to extract juice, mix with the powder to form a mud cake, about one cun thick. Apply to the soles of both feet depending on the side, secure firmly. Soak feet in a basin of hot water. Remove the medicine once sweating occurs. Perform once every half month to eradicate the root cause.
If caused by Wind-Dampness, use:
Fengxianhua (Impatiens Balsamina Flower), Baiziren (Biota Seed), Puxiao (Mirabilite), Mugua (Chaenomeles Fruit).
Decoct for bathing/washing. Twice or three times daily.
If caused by Wind-Heat, use:
Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome) 2 sheng, Gouzi [Note: Likely Gouqi or similar, transliterated as Gouzi] 1 sheng.
Grind into powder. Administer one bi with wine, three times daily.
If caused by Summer-Heat-Dampness, use:

After wine soaking, dry and grind into powder. Make pills using wine paste, sized like wutong seeds. Take seven pills, administered with wine. Stop when numbness in the four limbs is felt.
