This was attributed to damp-heat in the Bladder. Two doses of Huang Lian Xiao Du Yin (Coptis Detoxifying Drink) were administered, followed by two bowls of Huai Hua Jiu (Sophora Flower Wine), which rapidly reduced the swelling. However, the area remained soft upon pressure, indicating pus formation. Holes were pierced at the vertex, forehead, shoulders, and cheeks to drain the pus, restoring vision and head shape. Finally, twenty doses of formulas to support the interior and expel toxins, supplemented with Jin Yin Hua (Honeysuckle Flower) and Lian Qiao (Forsythia Fruit), led to complete recovery.
