Coat with gold leaf and wrap in yellow wax. For use, take one pill or half a pill. For children, divide one pill into four doses. Cut open to remove the wax coating, grind and dissolve in Bohe Tang (Mentha Decoction) or Jiang Tang (Ginger Decoction) before administration. The effect is miraculous.
Wax Wrapping Method
Use a round wooden ball the size of a longan, insert an iron rod through it, and boil in water until thoroughly heated for later use. Melt yellow wax in water; the wax will float on the surface. Dip the wooden ball into the floating wax layer by layer until the wax coating reaches a thickness of two fen. Remove from cold water, split halfway along the iron rod with a knife, remove the wooden core, place the pill inside, and briefly warm over a lamp so the wax seals. Re-insert the iron rod, dip again in wax for an outer coat, remove the rod, and seal the hole with a fingernail to make it airtight. This ensures the medicine remains unspoiled even after centuries.
