论曰∶诸疮之证成肿，或溃或硬，或久不瘥者，皆借膏剂以去臭腐，排恶汁，化死肌，
生良肉者，正以此也，附方于后。
治一切疮肿，及伤折。云母膏方

痈，马坠伤筋骨，疼不可忍者，但以酒下半两，老少临时加减，外更膏药包裹，当时痛止，
箭头在内不出者，外贴，每日吃少烂绿豆，箭头自出，虎豹所伤，先以甘草汤洗，然后贴膏
，每旦换，不过三贴，狗咬蛇咬，外贴，又以生油下十丸，如梧桐子大，难产，二日三日不
分娩者，温酒下一分，血运欲死，以姜汁和小便半升，温酒下十丸，死胎在腹，以榆白皮汤

治一切痈疽疮肿。玄参散方
论述说：各种疮疡病症形成肿胀，有的溃破，有的坚硬，有的长久不愈的，都借助膏剂来去除臭腐之物，排出恶浊汁液，化解坏死肌肉，生长健康新肉，正是基于这个原因，所以在后面附上方剂。
治疗一切疮肿，以及跌打损伤。云母膏方
云母、硝石（细研）、甘草（各四两）、槐枝、柏叶、柳枝、桑根白皮（各二两）、桔梗、防风、松脂、夜香……以上三十九味药，按照顺序使用，分别粗锉，不要锉得太细，以免煎煮时容易焦黑。先用清油四十两，在铛内炼至出香味，放入柏叶等药，提起铛器头部……若无损伤，若是发背疮，先用败蒲二斤，用水三升，煮三五十沸，用蒲汤清洗疮口，擦干后贴药；又用药一两，分为三次服用，温酒送服。未成脓的，立即痊愈；乳痈、瘰疬、骨疽，毒气穿透到骨骼的，用药一两，分作三次服用，温酒送服；严重的会泻出恶物，兼外贴即可痊愈。肠痈用药半两，分为五次服用，用甘草汤送服；未成脓的，当时便消散；已成脓的，脓液随药而下；脓出后，每日用酒送服五丸，如梧桐子大，脓止即停。风眼贴于两个太阳穴；一切恶虫咬伤，外贴保留疮口；发脑、发髭鬓发眉发耳脐痈、牙疼，均外贴；肾痈，马坠伤筋骨，疼痛难忍的，只用酒送服半两，老少根据情况临时加减，外用膏药包裹，当时疼痛停止；箭头在内取不出来的，外贴，每天吃少量烂绿豆，箭头自然排出；虎豹所伤，先用甘草汤清洗，然后贴膏，每早晨更换，不超过三次；狗咬蛇咬，外贴，又用生油送下十丸，如梧桐子大；难产，两日三日不分娩的，温酒送服一分；血晕欲死的，用姜汁和小便半升，温酒送服十丸；死胎在腹中，用榆白皮汤送服半两；小肠气，炒香的菟丝子温酒送服；妇人血气，当归酒送服；中毒药的，洗袜酒送服，各约一分，中毒的人，就会吐泻出恶物，痊愈。一切肿疖瘤赘，服药利后即愈，只忌食羊血。

当归（切焙）、附子（去皮脐）、川芎、防风（去叉）、白蔹、升麻、细辛（去苗叶）、侧柏叶、萆薢、砂（研一分）……以上二十三味药，切碎，用麻油二斤，在新瓷器内，浸泡药物一夜，第二天放入铛中，用文武火炼制，候稀稠适中……同治一切恶疮瘰疬、痈疽发背、阴疮、灸疮、汤火疮、闪扑损。乌犀膏方

蔷薇根（锉）、乳香（研）、阿魏（研各一两）、铅丹（六两）、柳枝（三两锉长一寸）、清油（一斤）……以上六味药，先熬油令沸，下柳枝蔷薇根，煎候黄黑色，以绵滤过，下丹煎搅，候变黑色，次下驴……
治痈疽，及诸种疮肿。应痛膏方
当归、秦艽、何首乌、败龟版、白蔹、白芨、白术、白芷、杏仁（去皮尖）、木鳖子（去壳）、川芎、药）、乳……以上十八味药，先用油，煎前十三味去滓，入后五味再熬，用柳枝子搅匀，令黑色成膏为度，如是发背，加附子末一分，同熬匀，用纸花子贴疮上。
治痈疽恶疮，生肌引脓，排毒瓦斯，蚀恶肉，除死肌。雄黄膏方
雄黄（细研半两）、巨胜油（七两）、丹砂（细研）、密陀僧（研各半两）、铅丹（三两）、蜡（一两）、蛇黄（半两醋淬七遍捣末）、牡蛎（研三分）……以上八味药，研和令匀，先熬油令沸，下蜡熔尽，次下丹，以柳篦搅，候变黑色，即下诸药末，搅令匀，滴水成珠子，以瓷合盛，故帛上涂贴，日二上，以瘥为度。
治疗一切疮肿。垂柳膏方
垂柳枝白皮（二两锉）、蒴藋根（四两锉）、丹砂（一分细研）、熟鸡子黄（一枚）、熊胆（半两研）、故青帛（七寸烧灰研）、蜡（一两）、铅丹（四两）、清油（一斤）……以上九味药，先熬油令沸，下柳皮蒴藋根，煎候赤黑色漉出，以绵滤去滓，下丹蜡煎，以柳篦搅……上，上便……
治发背疮口未合。大圣膏方
当归（切）、柳根白皮（切各二两）、桂（锉一分）、槐实、白蔹（锉）、白芨（锉）、没药柏皮（研）、乳香（研各半两）、麝香（研一分）、芦荟（半两）……以上十二味药，先煎前八味去滓，再入后四味，熬成膏，以瓷瓶盛，入地内七七日取出，将熟绢片留眼，贴膏在疮口上，去尽恶物，疮口自合。
治发背痈肿恶疮。楸叶膏方
楸叶（锉十斤）、马齿苋（锉一斤）、乌犀角（末二两）、沉香末（一两）……以上四味药，先取马齿苋楸叶，以水五斗，煎至一斗，滤去滓，更煎至一升半，下二味药末，以柳篦搅，候稀稠得所，以故帛上涂贴，日二上，即瘥。
治痈疽疮疖，能舒筋脉，消肿毒，止疼痛。黄芩膏方
黄芩（锉半两）、零陵香（一分）、赤芍药（锉）、川芎（锉）、天麻（锉）、防风（去叉锉）、生干地黄（锉各一钱）、黄蜡（二两半）、清油（半斤）……以上九味药，除蜡外，都一处用银石器内，以油浸七日，用文武火煎焦黄色，以绵滤去滓，下黄蜡再煎，令蜡化，盛于瓷器中，每用以软帛薄摊贴之，如皮肤瘙痒，筋脉紧急，用少许涂摩……
治痈疮久不瘥。百灵膏方
槐花子（炒焦为末）、松柏（各一两）、乳香、腻粉（各一分）……以上四味药，细研拌匀，用清油黄蜡各一两，瓷器内，慢火熬成膏贴之。
治一切痈疽，及上攻下注风毒疮，疼痛肿等疾。败毒膏方
巴豆（和壳椎碎六两）、麻油（十二两）、铅丹（炒令紫三两）……以上三味药，先将油煮巴豆，慢火养一二日，滴入水中成珠则止，滤去滓，却将其滓在一长瓶内，竖起瓶一头，令高下，以火烧逼，得巴豆内膏油流下，以器盛，并入前药，油内同煎搅匀贴之……
治疗一切痈疽恶疮。生肌长肉膏方
清油（十两）、龙骨（研二两）、木香、槟榔、黄连（去须各三分三味同为末取细）……以上五味药，先将油入锅内，慢火熬，滴水成珠子，下龙骨末，更熬如稀膏则止，去火候稍温，即下三味药末，不得住手搅，候冷以瓷合内收，随疮大小贴之。
治痈疽发背，及一切疮肿。乳香膏方
乳香（二两）、附子（生用五两）、乌头（生用）、木鳖子（去壳各二两）、当归、秦艽（各一两）、紫草（去苗三两）、苏枋木（锉五两）、头发灰（一两）、清油（二十两各细锉入油慢火熬候诸药丹（二两）……以上十五味药，先煎前九味，候色黑去滓，次下乳香等六味，根据次等逐味下，用慢火熬，用柳木篦，不住手搅，候熬成膏，滴水中成珠为度，摊纸花子上，看疮大小用之。
治疮肿疼痛，辟风敛疮。紫金挺方
当归、续断、骨碎补、桂（去粗皮）、附子、泽兰、芍药、白芨、牛膝、羌活、川芎、木香、大者）、乌……以上二十五味药，都一处，入麻油四斤，猪脂一斤半，野脂三两，用文武火，锅内煎黑，去滓入药……之。
治疗一切疮肿。乌贼骨膏方
乌贼鱼骨（去甲研末）、旧舡灰（研末各一两）、铅丹（研三两）、清油（十二两）……以上四味药，先熬油令沸，下铅丹，以柳木篦搅，候黑色，即将前二味药末，再搅令匀，滴水内成珠子得所，以瓷合盛，故帛上摊贴，日二上，以瘥为度。
Commentary states: Regarding various sores and ulcers that present with swelling, whether ulcerated or indurated, or lingering without healing, plaster preparations are utilized to remove foul necrotic tissue, drain noxious fluids, resolve dead muscle, and generate healthy granulation tissue. This is the rationale for attaching the following formulas.
For treating all types of sores and swellings, as well as traumatic injuries. Yunmu Gao (Cloud Mother Plaster) Formula:
Yunmu (Mica), Xiaoshi (Niter, finely ground), Gancao (Licorice Root) [each 4 liang]; Huaizhi (Huai Branch), Baiye (Cypress Leaf), Liuzhi (Willow Branch), Sanggenbaipi (Mulberry Root Bark) [each 2 liang]; Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Songzhi (Pine Resin), Yexiang... The above thirty-nine medicinal materials are used in sequence, coarsely chopped but not too fine to prevent scorching during decoction. First, refine 40 liang of clear sesame oil in a pan until fragrant, add Cypress Leaves etc., lift the pan... If there is no damage, for Back Carbuncle (Fa Bei), first boil 2 jin of Baipu (Old Rush Mat) in 3 sheng of water for 30-50 boils, wash the sore with the Baipu decoction, dry it, and apply the plaster. Also take 1 liang of the medicine, divided into three doses, taken with warm wine. For those without pus formation, healing occurs immediately; for Breast Abscess (Ru Yong), Scrofula (Luo Li), or Bone Abscess (Gu Ju) where toxicity penetrates the bone, take 1 liang divided into three doses with warm wine. Severe cases will expel noxious matter via purging; combined with external application, they heal. For Intestinal Abscess (Chang Yong), take 0.5 liang divided into five doses with Licorice Decoction. Without pus, it resolves instantly; with pus, the pus is expelled with the medicine. After pus drainage, take five pills the size of Sophora seeds daily with wine until pus stops. Apply to both Taiyang acupoints for Wind Eye; externally for all venomous insect bites, leaving the wound open; for Brain Carbuncle, beard/eyebrow/ear/navel abscesses, and toothache, apply externally; for Kidney Abscess and severe pain from horse falls injuring sinews and bones, take 0.5 liang with wine (adjusted for age), wrap with plaster, and pain ceases instantly. For embedded arrowheads, apply externally and consume cooked mung beans daily until the arrowhead exits. For tiger or leopard bites, wash with Licorice Decoction first, then apply plaster, changing every morning for no more than three applications. For dog or snake bites, apply externally and take ten pills the size of Sophora seeds with raw oil. For difficult labor lasting two to three days, take 1 fen with warm wine. For syncope due to blood loss approaching death, take ten pills with ginger juice, half sheng of urine, and warm wine. For retained dead fetus, take 0.5 liang with Ulmus Alba Bark Decoction. For Small Intestine Qi stagnation, take fried Tusizi (Cuscuta Seed) with warm wine. For women's blood qi disorders, take Danggui (Angelica Sinensis) with wine. For poisoning, take with sock-washing wine, approximately 1 fen each; poisoned individuals will vomit and purge noxious matter and recover. For all swellings, boils, tumors, and warts, taking the medicine leads to recovery; avoid sheep blood.
For treating all sores and swellings. Baoan Gao (Security Plaster) Formula:
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, sliced and roasted), Fuzi (Aconite Lateralis Radix Preparata, skin and umbilicus removed), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, forked parts removed), Bailian (Belamcanda Rhizome), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Xixin (Asarum Root, seedlings and leaves removed), Cebaiye (Biota Tops), Bixie (Dioscorea Hypoglauca Rhizome), Sha (Sand, 1 fen ground)... The above twenty-three medicinal materials are chopped, soaked overnight in 2 jin of hemp oil in a new porcelain vessel, then refined in a pan over moderate heat until the desired consistency... Same treatment for all malignant sores, scrofula, carbuncles, back carbuncles, yin sores, moxibustion sores, burns, scalds, and sprains. Wuxi Gao (Black Rhinoceros Horn Plaster) Formula:
Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root), Banlangen (Isatis Root), Kushen (Sophora Root), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome) [coarsely chopped, 1.5 liang each]; Qiandan (Lead Tetroxide, 6 liang); Qing Mahu You (Refined Hemp Oil, 15 liang)... The above six medicinal materials are simmered slowly with the oil and four herbs until charred, filtered through cotton, returned to the pot, and refined over moderate heat... Non-alcoholic wine...
For treating all sores and swellings. Zijin Gao (Purple Gold Plaster) Formula:
Zaojia (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit, one pod without rot, peeled), Cong (Scallion, five stalks, roots removed). These two are fried in clear oil until yellow-brown and filtered through cotton; Qiandan (Lead Tetroxide, 4 liang ground); Tuanfen (Rice Starch, 4 liang ground); Songzhi (Pine Resin, 2 liang ground)... The above five medicinal materials are processed with half a jin of clear oil. First fry the two ingredients, filter, then add Lead Tetroxide, Rice Starch, and Pine Resin. Stir continuously with a willow spatula until drops form beads in water. Apply according to sore size.
For treating all malignant sores and swellings. Wu Jin Gao (Black Gold Plaster) Formula:
Mahu You (Hemp Oil, 1 jin); Qiandan (Lead Tetroxide, 4 liang, 6 liang in winter); La (Beeswax, 4 liang); Toufa (Human Hair, size of a chicken egg)... The above four medicinal materials are processed by frying Lead Tetroxide until black, adding oil and hair, stirring with a willow spatula until pillable, then adding Beeswax and melting. Store in porcelain and apply according to sore size.
For treating all sores, swellings, trauma, burns, and scalds; rubbing relieves wind-induced pain and itching, apply thinly on silk. For mouth ulcers, hold a bean-sized amount in the mouth. For wind-toxicity causing redness and erosion of eyelids with unbearable pain, apply topically. For facial tinea, rub until heat penetrates. For nasal or auricular polyps, apply a bean-sized amount on a paper wick... Gualou (Trichosanthes Fruit, peeled, one piece), Linglingxiang (Lingnan Fragrant Wood), Huoxiang (Patchouli), Shaoyao (Peony Root), Gancao (Licorice Root), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Xingren (Apricot Seed, peeled, 1 fen each), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root, 3 fen), Longnao (Borneol), Shexiang (Musk, ground, 1 qian each), Huangla (Yellow Beeswax, 1.5 liang), Qing You (Clear Oil, 6 liang)... The above twelve medicinal materials, excluding Borneol and Musk, are chopped and soaked in oil for seven days in the tenth lunar month. Remove herbs, refine oil until fragrant and cool, measure 6 liang, return herbs, fry until yellow, filter through double-layered silk, return to pot, gradually add Beeswax, stir until bead-forming in water.
For treating all malignant sores. Sanxian Gao (Three Immortals Plaster) Formula:
Mahuang (Ephedra Herb, 4 liang), Qiandan (Lead Tetroxide), Dingfen (White Lead Powder) [ground, 1 liang each]... The above three medicinal materials are processed by refining oil, sifting Lead Tetroxide and White Lead Powder together, frying with them, stirring with Huai branches until proper consistency, stopping when drops form beads in water. Apply according to sore size.
For treating all carbuncles, swellings, sores, and boils. Ruxiang Gao (Frankincense Plaster) Formula:
Qing You (Clear Oil, 1 jin), Zaojia (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit, five handfuls peeled and chopped), Congbai (Scallion White, five handfuls chopped), Qiandan (Lead Tetroxide), Tuanfen (Rice Starch) [each 6 liang], Songzhi (Pine Resin, 4 liang), Ruxiang (Frankincense, 1 liang), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, 1 liang), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig, 1 qian)... The above nine medicinal materials are processed by heating Clear Oil in a crucible over slow fire, adding Gleditsia, Scallion White, and Cinnamon Twig, frying until yellow-red, filtering, then adding Pine Resin and Frankincense. When boiling, add Rice Starch, Lead Tetroxide, and Angelica Sinensis, simmer into plaster, test for bead formation in water, store in porcelain, spread on old cloth...
For treating all carbuncles, back carbuncles, with unceasing pain. Mutong Gao (Akebia Plaster) Formula:
Mutong (Akebia Stem), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide, 5 liang), Xixin (Asarum Root, 1 liang), Yichen (Artemisia Capillaris), Hupo (Amber, 0.5 liang ground), Zhusha (Cinnabar, 1 liang ground), Qing Mahu You (Refined Hemp Oil, 10 liang)... The above seven medicinal materials are processed by boiling oil, adding Asarum, Akebia, and Artemisia, boiling 5-7 times, filtering, adding Amber and Cinnabar powders, refining, stirring with willow spatula until bead-forming in water. Store in porcelain, spread on old cloth, change twice daily.
For treating all carbuncles, back carbuncles, with unbearable pain. Dingxiang Gao (Clove Plaster) Formula:
Dingxiang (Clove, 0.5 liang powder), Mahu You (Hemp Oil, 1 jin), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide, 7 liang), Zhangfu Toufa (Male Human Hair, 1 liang), La (Beeswax, 1 liang), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig, 0.5 liang powder), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, 0.5 liang powder)... The above seven medicinal materials are processed by refining oil until fragrant, frying hair until dissolved, adding Beeswax, filtering, returning to pan, adding Lead Tetroxide, stirring continuously, change twice daily.
For treating all carbuncles, back carbuncles, recurring day and night with unceasing pain. Hufen Gao (White Lead Plaster) Formula:
Hufen (White Lead, 4 liang), You (Oil, 0.5 jin), La (Beeswax, 2.5 liang), Ruxiang (Frankincense, 0.5 liang ground), Shexiang (Musk, 1 qian ground), Moyao (Myrrh, 0.5 liang ground)... The above six medicinal materials are processed by simmering oil, adding White Lead, then Beeswax. Near completion, add Musk, Frankincense, and Myrrh, stirring constantly until star-like patterns appear. Stop, store in porcelain, spread on old cloth, change twice daily.
For treating all carbuncles, back carbuncles, where flesh does not grow after ulceration, suitable for draining pus and generating muscle. Shenxiao Gao (Miraculous Efficacy Plaster) Formula:
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, 2 liang), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root, 1.5 liang), Ruxiang (Frankincense, 3 fen ground), Songzhi (Pine Resin, 1 liang), Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome, 1 liang), Bailian (Belamcanda Rhizome, 1.5 liang), Feibo Hui (Red Silk Ash, 0.5 liang ground), Luafa Hui (Tangled Hair Ash, 0.5 liang ground), Gancao (Licorice Root, 1.5 liang), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide, 10 liang), Mugua Zi (Momordica Seed, 30 pieces shelled)... Gan Si Shu (Dried Dead Rat, one medium), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, 1 liang), Xingren (Apricot Seed, 0.5 liang peeled and tipped), Jizi Huang (Chicken Egg Yolk, 1 liang), Luafa (Tangled Hair, size of chicken egg), Qiandan (Lead Tetroxide, 6 liang), La (Beeswax, 1 liang), Shuiyin (Mercury, 0.5 liang), You (Oil, 1 jin), Ruxiang (Frankincense, 0.5 liang)... The above ten medicinal materials are processed by boiling oil, adding tangled hair, rat, and Rhubarb, frying until rat is charred, filtering, adding Lead Tetroxide, Beeswax, and Apricot Seeds, stirring with willow spatula until black, adding Chicken Egg Yolk, Mercury, and Frankincense, stirring until uniform, testing for bead formation, storing in porcelain, spreading on old cloth...

The above four medicinal materials are processed by boiling oil, adding Willow Branch, frying until yellow-brown, filtering, refrying, adding Beeswax and Salt Flower, stirring until proper consistency, storing in porcelain, spreading on old cloth. If applied within three days, unformed pus resolves; formed pus with intact head ruptures without need for needle... And...
