论述说:伤寒病出现吐血症状,是因为热邪在阳经,邪气盛于体表,应当发汗却未发汗,导致热毒深入体内,凝结于五脏,从而形成瘀热。

It is stated that in cases of hematemesis (vomiting blood) due to Shanghan (Cold Damage), the heat resides in the Yang meridians, and the pathogenic factor is abundant at the exterior. If sweating should have been induced but was not, the heat toxin penetrates deeply, condensing within the Five Zang Organs, thereby forming Stasis-Heat (stagnant heat).
This heat steams the Upper Jiao (upper burner), and blood follows the Qi movement, merging into the Stomach. The Stomach, receiving the blood, becomes distended and full, with rebellious Qi, thus resulting in hematemesis.
