论曰内经曰，厥逆头痛者，头痛齿亦痛，数岁不已是也，盖脑为髓海，系于头，齿为骨
余，属于肾，因犯大寒，寒气内着骨髓，髓以脑为主，脑逆故令头痛齿亦痛也。
治厥逆头痛，及齿痛骨寒。山芋丸方
山芋 天雄（炮裂去皮脐） 硫黄（研） 白茯苓（去黑皮） 五味子 磁石（ 醋淬
二七遍）
上七味，捣研为末，酒煮面糊，丸如梧桐子大，每服二十至三十丸，食前温酒下。
治风寒内着骨髓，上连于脑，头痛齿痛，附子汤方
附子（炮裂去皮脐） 桂（去粗皮） 五味子 白茯苓（去黑皮） 石膏（ ） 人参 补

上七味，锉如麻豆大，每服三钱匕，水一盏，煎至七分，去滓温服。
治厥逆头痛齿痛骨寒椒附丸方
蜀椒（去目并闭口炒出汗一分） 附子（炮裂去皮脐一两） 木香（炮） 细辛（去苗
叶各半
两）
上四味，捣罗为末，酒煮面糊，丸如梧桐子大，每服二十丸，空心日午临睡温酒下。
治头痛齿亦痛。二胜散方
伏龙肝 附子（炮裂去皮脐各一两）
上二味。捣罗为散，每服一钱匕，温酒调下。
治肾脉厥逆头痛不可忍。天南星丸方
天南星（炮） 硫黄（研） 石膏（研水飞） 硝石（研）
上四味，等分，捣研为细末，面糊丸如梧桐子大，每服二十丸，温酒下，日二服，渐加
至三十丸。
治厥逆头痛齿痛。乌头丸方
乌头（炮裂去皮脐） 石硫黄（研各一两）
上二味，捣研为末，酒煮面糊，丸如梧桐子大，每服二十丸，温酒下。
治厥逆头痛。三五七散方
天雄（炮裂去皮脐） 细辛（去苗叶各三分） 山茱萸 干姜（炮各五两） 山芋 防

上一十九味，捣罗为散，每服一钱匕，清酒调下，日三。
论述说：《内经》提到，厥逆头痛，是指头痛且牙齿也痛，多年不愈的情况。这是因为脑为髓之海，连接于头部；牙齿为骨之余，归属于肾。如果遭受大寒侵袭，寒气内着于骨髓，而髓以脑为主宰，脑气上逆，所以导致头痛且牙齿也痛。
治疗厥逆头痛，以及牙齿痛、骨骼寒冷的山芋丸方：
山芋、天雄（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、硫黄（研细）、白茯苓（去掉黑皮）、五味子、磁石（用醋淬炼十四次）。
以上七味药，捣碎研成粉末，用酒煮面糊作为粘合剂，制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用二十至三十丸，饭前用温酒送服。
治疗风寒内着于骨髓，向上连及脑部，引起头痛、牙齿痛的附子汤方：
附子（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、桂枝（去掉粗皮）、五味子、白茯苓（去掉黑皮）、石膏、人参、补骨脂（炒，各一两）。
以上七味药，锉碎如麻豆大小。每次取三钱匕，用水一盏，煎煮至七分，去渣后温服。
治疗厥逆头痛、牙齿痛、骨骼寒冷的椒附丸方：
蜀椒（去掉目和闭口者，炒至出汗，一分）、附子（炮制裂开，去皮和脐，一两）、木香（炮制）、细辛（去掉苗叶，各半两）。
以上四味药，捣碎过筛成粉末，用酒煮面糊作为粘合剂，制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用二十丸，空腹时、中午及临睡前用温酒送服。
治疗头痛且牙齿也痛的二胜散方：
伏龙肝、附子（炮制裂开，去皮和脐，各一两）。
以上两味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次取一钱匕，用温酒调服。
治疗肾脉厥逆引起的剧烈不可忍受的头痛的天南星丸方：
天南星（炮制）、硫黄（研细）、石膏（研细，水飞法处理）、硝石（研细）。
以上四味药，等分，捣碎研成细末，用面糊制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用二十丸，用温酒送服，每日两次，逐渐增加至三十丸。
治疗厥逆头痛、牙齿痛的乌头丸方：
乌头（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、石硫黄（研细，各一两）。
以上两味药，捣碎研成粉末，用酒煮面糊作为粘合剂，制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用二十丸，用温酒送服。
治疗厥逆头痛的五三七散方：
天雄（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、细辛（去掉苗叶，各三分）、山茱萸、干姜（炮制，各五两）、山芋、防风（去掉叉枝，各七两）。
以上六味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次取一钱匕，用清酒调服，每日两次。
治疗厥逆头痛，连及牙齿疼痛的入顶散：
山茱萸、川芎、防风（去掉叉枝）、独活（去掉芦头，各一两半）、细辛（去掉苗叶）、莽草、白术、山芋、牛膝（酒浸，切，焙干）、石南、甘草（炙，锉碎，各一两）、乌头（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、木通（锉碎）、菖蒲、附子（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、麻黄（去掉根节）、天雄（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、蜀椒（去掉目和闭口者，炒至出汗）、桔梗（炒，各一两一分）。
以上十九味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次取一钱匕，用清酒调服，每日三次。
Commentary states: The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) mentions that Jue-ni headache refers to a condition where the head hurts and the teeth also hurt, persisting for years without resolution. This is because the brain is the sea of marrow, connected to the head; the teeth are the surplus of bone, belonging to the Kidney. When invaded by severe cold, the cold pathogen settles internally within the bone marrow. Since the marrow is governed by the brain, the rebellion of brain qi causes both headache and toothache.
Shanyu Wan Formula for treating Jue-ni headache, as well as toothache and bone coldness:
Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyu), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Tianxiong, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Sulfur (Liuhuang, ground), Poria (Baifuling, black skin removed), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Magnetitum (Cishi, quenched in vinegar fourteen times).
The above seven ingredients are crushed and ground into powder. Dough paste is prepared by boiling flour with wine to serve as a binder. Pills are made the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 20–30 pills per dose, administered with warm wine before meals.
Fuzi Tang Formula for treating wind-cold settling internally in the bone marrow, extending upwards to connect with the brain, causing headache and toothache:
Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Gui, outer bark removed), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Poria (Baifuling, black skin removed), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Psoraleae Fructus (Buguzhi, stir-fried, each 1 liang).
The above seven ingredients are cut into pieces the size of hemp seeds. Take three qianbi per dose, add one sheng of water, decoct until reduced to 7/10, strain, and take warm.
Jiaofu Wan Formula for treating Jue-ni headache, toothache, and bone coldness:
Zanthoxyli Fructus (Shujiao, remove eyes and closed-mouth ones, stir-fry until sweat appears, 1 fen), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed, 1 liang), Costi Radix (Muxiang, prepared), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, remove seedlings and leaves, each ban liang).
The above four ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder. Dough paste is prepared by boiling flour with wine to serve as a binder. Pills are made the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 20 pills per dose, administered with warm wine on an empty stomach, at noon, and before sleep.
Ersheng San Formula for treating headache and concomitant toothache:
Longgu (Fulonggan), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed, each 1 liang).
The above two ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder. Take one qianbi per dose, mix with warm wine and ingest.
Tiannanxing Wan Formula for treating unbearable headache caused by Kidney meridian Jue-ni:
Arisaematis Rhizoma (Tiannanxing, prepared), Sulfur (Liuhuang, ground), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, ground and processed by water flotation), Natrii Nitras (Xiaoshi, ground).
The above four ingredients are used in equal proportions, crushed and ground into fine powder. Dough paste is used to make pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 20 pills per dose, administered with warm wine, twice daily. Gradually increase the dosage to 30 pills.
Wutou Wan Formula for treating Jue-ni headache and toothache:
Aconiti Radix (Wutou, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Sulfur (Shiliuhuang, ground, each 1 liang).
The above two ingredients are crushed and ground into powder. Dough paste is prepared by boiling flour with wine to serve as a binder. Pills are made the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 20 pills per dose, administered with warm wine.
Wusanqi San Formula for treating Jue-ni headache:
Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Tianxiong, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, remove seedlings and leaves, each 3 fen), Corni Fructus (Shanzhuyu), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang, prepared, each 5 liang), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyu), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, remove forks, each 7 liang).
The above six ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder. Take one qianbi per dose, mix with clear wine and ingest, twice daily.
Ruding San for treating Jue-ni headache with radiating pain to the teeth:
Corni Fructus (Shanzhuyu), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Xiong), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, remove forks), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Duhuo, remove rhizome head, each 1.5 liang), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, remove seedlings and leaves), Polygoni Cyperi Herba (Mangcao), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyu), Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi, soaked in wine, sliced, dried), Pyrolae Radix (Shinan), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, roasted and cut, each 1 liang), Aconiti Radix (Wutou, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong, cut), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, remove roots and joints), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Tianxiong, prepared until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Zanthoxyli Fructus (Shujiao, remove eyes and closed-mouth ones, stir-fry until sweat appears), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng, roasted, each 1 liang plus 1 fen).
The above nineteen ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder. Take one qianbi per dose, mix with clear wine and ingest, three times daily.
