论曰∶古人论吐血有三；一曰内衄，二曰肺瘅，三曰伤胃。内衄者，近从心肺间津液出
还流入胃，色如豆汁，凝留胃中，满闷即吐，如衄血状是也；肺瘅者，饮酒满闷即吐，血从
吐出，少或一合，多至一升是也；伤胃者，食饮过度，胃冷不化，烦闷强呕，食物与气，俱
上冲蹙胃脘，因致伤损，吐血鲜赤是也。三者证虽不同，要之皆由大虚损，及饮酒劳伤所致
。巢元方曰∶肺者，五脏之盖也，心肝又俱主血，上焦有邪，则伤诸脏，脏伤血下入于胃，
胃得血则闷满气逆，气逆故吐血也。孙思邈又曰∶吐血之后，体中但自KT KT 然，心中
不闷者，辄自愈。凡是之类，学人宜审。
论曰∶吐血病有三种∶一则缘心肺蕴热，血得热则妄行，下流入胃，胃受之则满闷，气
道贲衡，故令吐血；二则虚劳之人，心肺内伤，恚怒气逆，肝不能藏，血乘虚而出，因怒气
逆，甚则呕血；三者缘酒食饱甚，胃间不安，或强吐之，气脉贲乱，损伤心胃，血随食出，
此名伤胃。各随证以治之。
治吐血。羚羊角汤方。
羚羊角（镑三两） 伏龙肝（五两） 熟艾（炒一两） 地榆（去土） 牛膝（去苗，
酒浸，焙）

上一十二味，粗捣筛。每服三钱匕，水一盏，入生姜半分（拍碎），同煎至七分，去滓

金星石 银星石 太阴玄精石 云母 阳起石 不灰木
上六味，等分，以砂锅子一枚，先入罗过紫冬灰（水牛粪是也），可浓一二寸，铺药一
重，
以灰一二寸筑令实；又铺药一重，准前以灰盖后铺药为度，上下以灰封盖，以盐泥固济，不
限药多少，皆用炭一秤，于静室中周密不通风处，火 一日一夜，候冷取出。于净地掘一坑
子，深一尺许，埋锅子一宿，取出先拣出药块子，余以粗罗罗去灰，取药碾为末，更入乳钵
研令极细，即入罐子内收之。每药末一两，入龙脑、麝香各半钱，阿胶一分（炒）同研，入
前
件药末一两内，合和令匀。每服一钱或半钱匕，以糯米少许研细，入薄荷汁蜜各少许，同煎
为饮，候温调下，空心、日午、临卧各一服。
治吐血。五通散方。
巴豆（五十枚去皮） 白面（一两） 郁李仁（三百五十枚） 盐豉（三百五十粒 伏
龙肝（二两）
上五味，锅子内炒熟，不住手搅，以烟青为度，倾出放湿地出火毒，捣罗为散。每服半
钱匕，温蜜水调下。如患咯血，用前件药末一两，郓州蛤粉二两，同研罗细，每服一钱匕，
薤汁半盏，生油两点，食后调服。
治吐血及一切血病，诸药不效者。乌金散方。
鲮鲤甲 犀角（镑） 黄明胶 赤鲤鱼皮（各一两） 胎发（一两半） 独角仙（一枚

上六味，用瓦瓶一枚，底下开窍，纳药以纸筋泥固济，曝干，用炭五斤簇烧，候烟绝，
拨去火，放冷取出，细研为散。每服一钱匕，旋入腻粉少许。吐血鼻衄不止，新汲水调下；
产后血运，昏迷闷乱，不知人，冷醋汤下；血气，温酒调下；咯血及血积、藏毒、下血、赤
痢、血痢、蛊毒痢、肠风及五痔下血，并米饮调下；临卧空腹服，更相度虚实，可加至二钱
匕。服药后，取下积聚物为效。
治男子妇人咯血吐血。阿胶散方。

上五味，捣罗为散。每服三钱匕，糯米粥饮调下，空心食前，日三，小儿量减。

上五味，粗捣筛。每服三钱匕，水一盏，煎至五分，去滓，食后良久温服。

治吐血。绿云散方。
柏叶 百合 人参 阿胶（炙令燥各二两）
上四味，捣罗为散。每服二钱匕，用糯米粥饮调下。
治吐血。神效金朱丸方。
丹砂（半两） 金箔（四片） 蚯蚓（三条）
上三味，先将丹砂、金箔研细，后将蚯蚓同研，和前二味为丸，如小皂子大。每服一丸，
冷酒下，不嚼。
治吐血、咯血。神效散方。
鹿角胶（炙令燥） 黄柏（去粗皮各半两） 杏仁（四十九枚汤去皮尖，麸炒黄）
上三味，捣罗为散。每服一钱匕，用白麸一钱，温水同调下，食后再服。
治吐血。金粉汤方。
熟干地黄（焙） 蒲黄（各一两） 芎 （半两）
上三味，粗捣筛。每服三钱匕，水一盏半，入糯米十四粒，同煎至七分，去滓温服。
治吐血、咯血。绵灰散方。
新绵（一两烧灰） 黄明胶（炙令燥） 黄柏（去粗皮，蜜炙，为末各一两）
上三味，细研。每服一钱匕，地黄汁、糯米饮相和调下，食后临卧服。
治吐血、咯血。金沙汤方。
紫金沙（野蜂窠带是半两） 贝母（去心二钱生用） 芦荟（一钱）
上三味，粗捣筛。每服二钱匕，水半盏，入蜜少许，煎一两沸，去滓细呷，空心食后临
卧服。
治热极吐血。紫参散方。
紫参 阿胶（炒燥各二两） 甘草（炙，锉一两）
上三味，捣罗为散。每服二钱匕，温糯米饮调下，不计时候。
治吐血。杏蜜膏方。
猪KT （一具用瓷器煮烂，冷水浸去膜） 杏仁（去皮尖、双仁，炒） 蜜（熬熟各
二两）
上三味，同研，饭上蒸，入木香、附子末各二钱，和匀成膏。每服半匙，酒一盏调下，
日三。
治吐血。藕汁散方。
白茯苓（去黑皮） 生干地黄（焙） 蒲黄
上三味，等分，捣罗为细散。每服二钱匕，生藕汁半盏，调匀顿服，立止。
治吐血。独圣散方。
晚桑叶（微焙不计多少）
上十一味，捣罗为细散。每服三钱匕，冷腊茶调如膏，入麝香少许，夜卧含化咽津，只
一服止，后用补肺药。
治吐血。补肺煮肺散方。
杏仁（一百二十粒去皮尖，新瓦上焙，研） 百合（四两） 糯米一合 葱白（三茎并
同杏仁
上四味，和匀，猪肺一具，入药在内，麻线系，沙锅内煮水去一半，翻转令熟，竹片切。
连药细嚼，蜜汤下，服至五具为度。
治暴吐血嗽血。贯众散方。
贯众一两 黄连（去须年老者半两，年少者三分）
上二味，捣罗为细散。每服二钱匕，浓煎糯米饮调下，立止。
治吐血。云雪散方。
云雪（寒食面是） 蒲黄（各一两）
上二味，并生用，研匀。每服二钱匕，冷水调下。
治吐血。香草汤方。
莎草根（去毛五两） 甘草（一两锉，炙）
上二味，粗捣筛。每服二钱匕，水一盏，煎取七分。去滓温服。
治吐血。鹿角胶丸方。
鹿角胶（炙令燥） 黄柏（去粗皮各一两）
上二味，捣罗为末，入杏仁四十九枚（汤浸去皮尖、双仁，炒黄），研细拌匀，炼蜜和
丸
樱桃大。每服一丸，含化咽津。
治诸般吐血。朱粉散方。
丹砂（研，飞） 蛤粉
上二味，等分，研细合和令匀。每服二钱匕，温酒调下。
治吐血。黄药散方。
黄药子 防己
上二味，等分，捣罗为散。每服一钱匕，煎小麦汤调下。吐甚者一服减，二服止。
治吐血。异功散方。
人参（一两）
上一味，捣罗为散，以密绢再罗，令极细。五更鸡鸣时，打鸡子清调和稀糊，匙抄服。
若服一两人参尽甚好，不尽，半两亦可，服讫却卧。
治吐血。槲叶散方。
槲叶（不拘多少）
上一味，捣罗为散。每服二钱匕，水一盏，煎五七沸，和滓温服，不拘时候。
治肺损吐血。糯米饮方。
薜荔
上一味，每一二十叶，用纸贴放着阴处，切不可晒至干，收贴起，如有患，旋碾罗作细
末。每服先研糯米煎浓饮，若煎饼面，稀稠可八分、一盏，抄药末一匙头，同搅调匀，临卧
温服。
治吐血、咯血。青金散方。
荷叶（不拘多少）
上一味，焙干，捣罗为散。米饮调下二钱匕。
治吐血。黑神散方。
栝蒌（取端正者，纸筋和泥包裹，于顶间留一眼子， 存性，地坑内放一宿）
上一味，去泥，捣罗为散。每服三钱匕，糯米饮调下，再服止。
治吐血。艾灰散方。
艾（不拘多少）
上一味，烧灰细研。每服二钱匕，新汲水调下。
治忽吐血一两口。地黄饮方。

上一十味，除蛴螬外，粗捣筛，以生地黄汁三升，赤马通汁三升，并蛴螬，同煎至三升

上五味，粗捣筛。每服五钱匕，水一盏半，煎至八分，去滓，温服，食后，日二服。
治心肺热极，喘满吐血。地黄饮方。

上六味，和匀。徐徐呷之，以瘥为度。
治吐血、唾血。赤芍药散方。

上二味，等分，研匀。每服一钱匕，临卧糯米饮调下。
治吐血、溺血、衄血。竹茹汤方。
青竹茹（锉一升） 芍药（二两） 芎 当归（切，焙） 桂（去粗皮） 甘草（炙，

上七味，粗捣筛。每服三钱匕，水一盏，煎至八分，去滓温服，不拘时。
治吐血及大小便血。三物汤方。
生地黄（七两半） 阿胶（炙令燥三分） 白蔹（八两）
上三味， 咀如麻豆。每服七钱匕，水二盏，煎至八分，去滓，空腹温服。
治吐血方。
蛇蜕（烧灰）
上一味，研细。每服一钱匕，冷热水调下，不拘时候。
治吐血。天南星散方。
天南星（一两锉如骰子大）
上以炭汁浸一宿，漉出，汤洗焙干，捣罗为散。每服一钱匕，酒磨自然铜调下。
治肺损，吐血不止。地黄饮方。
生地黄（八两研取汁） 鹿角胶（一两炙燥，碾为末）
上二味，先以童子小便五合，于铜器中煎，次下地黄汁，及胶末打令匀，煎令熔，十沸
后。分作三服，当止。
又方∶
地黄汁（六合） 牛皮胶（一两细研） 生姜（一块如大拇指，椎碎）
上三味，先以二味于铜器中煎十数沸，次下牛皮胶，煎令消，滤去生姜。分作两服吃便
止，或微转一行，不妨。
又方∶
诃黎勒（生为末） 白面（炒）
上二味，等分。每服二钱匕，糯米粥调下。
又方∶
白芍药四两（烧存性）
以盏盖地上，出火毒，为末。每服三钱匕，糯米饮调下。
论述说：古人论述吐血有三种情况：一叫内衄，二叫肺瘅，三叫伤胃。所谓内衄，是指津液从心肺之间流出，回流进入胃中，颜色像豆汁一样，凝结停留在胃里，感到胀闷就呕吐出来，样子像鼻出血；所谓肺瘅，是指饮酒后感到胀闷随即呕吐，血液随之吐出，少的约一合（古代容量单位），多的可达一升；所谓伤胃，是指饮食过量，胃寒不能消化，烦闷强行催吐，食物与气一起向上冲撞挤压胃脘，因而导致损伤，吐出的血颜色鲜红。这三种证候虽然不同，但归根结底都是由严重的虚损，以及饮酒和劳倦过度所引起。巢元方说：肺是五脏的华盖，心和肝都主管血液，上焦有邪气，就会伤害各个脏腑，脏腑受伤后血液下行进入胃中，胃得到血液就会胀闷、气机上逆，气机上逆所以发生吐血。孙思邈又说：吐血之后，身体自然感觉舒适，心中不觉得胀闷的，往往能自行痊愈。凡是这类情况，学习医学的人应当仔细审察。
论述说：吐血病有三种类型：一是因为心肺蕴积热邪，血液受热则妄行，向下流入胃中，胃受到热邪影响就会胀闷，气道壅塞不通，从而导致吐血；二是虚劳病人，心肺内部受损，愤怒导致气机逆乱，肝脏不能藏血，血液乘虚而出，因愤怒气逆严重，甚至呕出血液；三是由于酒食吃得过饱，胃间不安适，或者强行催吐，导致气脉紊乱，损伤心和胃，血液随着食物吐出，这叫做伤胃。治疗时应根据具体证候分别施治。

生干地黄（焙干八两） 伏龙肝六两 川芎（一两） 当归（酒浸，切，焙干三两） 桂枝（去粗皮） 赤芍药 白芷 干姜（炮裂，各二两） 细辛（去苗叶半两） 甘草（炙，锉碎一两） 吴茱萸（汤浸，上一十一味药，捣碎筛过。每次服用三钱匕，用水和酒各半盏，一同煎煮至七分，滤去药渣，温服，空腹及进食前服用。）
治疗肺损伤，吐血咳嗽带血。通圣散方。
金星石 银星石 太阴玄精石 云母 阳起石 不灰木
以上六味药，等分，用一个砂锅，先在锅底铺上一层过筛的紫冬灰（即水牛粪烧成的灰），厚度约一二寸，铺一层药，再用一二寸厚的灰覆盖并夯实；再铺一层药，照前法用灰覆盖，上下都用灰封盖，用盐泥加固密封，不论药量多少，都用炭一秤，在静室中严密无风处，煅烧一日一夜，待冷却后取出。在干净地面挖一个坑，深约一尺，将锅埋入过夜，取出后先拣出药块，其余的用粗筛去掉灰，取药碾成粉末，再放入乳钵中研至极细，装入罐子内收藏。每用药末一两，加入龙脑、麝香各半钱，阿胶一分（炒），一同研磨，混入前述药末一两中，混合均匀。每次服用一钱或半钱匕，用少许糯米研细，加入薄荷汁和蜂蜜少许，一同煎成饮剂，待温热时调服，空腹、日午、临卧各服一次。
治疗吐血。五通散方。
巴豆（五十枚去皮） 白面（一两） 郁李仁（三百五十枚） 盐豉（三百五十粒） 伏龙肝（二两）
以上五味药，在锅内炒熟，不停搅拌，以烟变青为度，倒出放在潮湿处去除火毒，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次服用半钱匕，用温蜜水调下。如果是患咯血，用上述药末一两，郓州蛤粉二两，一同研细，每次服用一钱匕，用薤汁半盏，生油两点，饭后调服。
治疗吐血及一切血病，其他药物无效的。乌金散方。
鲮鲤甲 犀角（镑） 黄明胶 赤鲤鱼皮（各一两） 胎发（一两半） 独角仙（一枚，去翅、头、足）
以上六味药，用一个瓦瓶，底部开孔，放入药物后用纸筋泥加固密封，晒干，用五斤炭簇拥燃烧，待烟尽，拨去火，冷却后取出，细研成散剂。每次服用一钱匕，随时加入少许腻粉。吐血、鼻衄不止，用新汲水调下；产后血晕，昏迷烦乱，不知人事，用冷醋汤调下；血气痛，用温酒调下；咯血及血积、藏毒、下血、赤痢、血痢、蛊毒痢、肠风及五痔下血，均用米饮调下；临卧空腹服用，更应根据虚实情况，可加至二钱匕。服药后，排出积聚物为有效。
治疗男子妇人咯血吐血。阿胶散方。
阿胶（炒令干燥） 白芨 白芷 白蔹 黄柏（去粗皮，蜜水浸，炙至赤色，各一两）
以上五味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次服用三钱匕，用糯米粥饮调下，空腹及进食前服用，每日三次，小儿酌情减量。
治疗饮食伤肺，吐血并咳嗽带血。五胜汤方。
木香 密陀僧 蝉壳（去足） 甘草（炙，锉碎，各半两） 黄明牛胶（两片，一片酥炙，一片生锉）
以上五味药，捣碎筛过。每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，煎至五分，滤去药渣，饭后良久温服。
治疗吐血。黄芪散方。
黄芪（锉碎） 白芨 白蔹 黄明胶（炒令干燥，各二两）
以上四味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次服用二钱匕，用糯米饮调下。
治疗吐血。绿云散方。
侧柏叶 百合 人参 阿胶（炙令干燥，各二两）
以上四味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次服用二钱匕，用糯米粥饮调下。
治疗吐血。神效金朱丸方。
丹砂（半两） 金箔（四片） 蚯蚓（三条）
以上三味药，先将丹砂、金箔研细，后将蚯蚓同研，与前两味混合制成丸药，如小皂子大小。每次服用一丸，用冷酒送下，不嚼。
治疗吐血、咯血。神效散方。
鹿角胶（炙令干燥） 黄柏（去粗皮，各半两） 杏仁（四十九枚，汤浸去皮尖，麸炒黄）
以上三味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次服用一钱匕，用白麸一钱，温水同调下，饭后服用。

以上三味药，细研。每次服用一钱匕，用地黄汁、糯米饮相和调下，饭后及临卧服用。

以上三味药，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次服用二钱匕，用温糯米饮调下，不限时候。
治疗吐血。杏蜜膏方。
猪肺（一具，用瓷器煮烂，冷水浸去膜） 杏仁（去皮尖、双仁，炒） 蜜（熬熟，各二两）
以上三味药，同研，在饭上蒸，加入木香、附子末各二钱，和匀成膏。每次服用半匙，用酒一盏调下，每日三次。

杏仁（一百二十粒去皮尖，新瓦上焙，研） 百合（四两） 糯米一合 葱白（三茎，并同杏仁）
以上四味药，和匀，猪肺一具，将药纳入其中，用麻线系紧，沙锅内加水煮至水减半，翻转煮熟，竹片切片。连药细嚼，用蜜汤送下，服用至五具为止。
治疗暴吐血嗽血。贯众散方。
贯众一两 黄连（去须年老者半两，年少者三分）
以上二味药，捣罗为细散。每次服用二钱匕，浓煎糯米饮调下，立止。
治疗吐血。云雪散方。
云雪（寒食面是） 蒲黄（各一两）
以上二味药，均生用，研匀。每次服用二钱匕，用冷水调下。
治疗吐血。香草汤方。
莎草根（去毛五两） 甘草（一两锉，炙）
以上二味药，捣碎筛过。每次服用二钱匕，用水一盏，煎取七分。滤去药渣，温服。
治疗吐血。鹿角胶丸方。
鹿角胶（炙令干燥） 黄柏（去粗皮，各一两）
以上二味药，捣罗为末，加入杏仁四十九枚（汤浸去皮尖、双仁，炒黄），研细拌匀，炼蜜和丸，如樱桃大。每次服用一丸，含化咽津。
治疗诸般吐血。朱粉散方。
丹砂（研，飞） 蛤粉
以上二味药，等分，研细合和令匀。每次服用二钱匕，用温酒调下。
治疗吐血。黄药散方。
黄药子 防己
以上二味药，等分，捣罗为散。每次服用一钱匕，煎小麦汤调下。吐甚者一服减，二服止。
治疗吐血。异功散方。
人参（一两）
以上一味药，捣罗为散，用密绢再次筛过，令极细。五更鸡鸣时，打鸡蛋清调和稀糊，用勺抄服。如果服完一人份的人参很好，不服完，半两也可以，服完后躺下休息。
治疗吐血。槲叶散方。
槲叶（不拘多少）
以上一味药，捣罗为散。每次服用二钱匕，用水一盏，煎五七沸，连同药渣温服，不限时候。
治疗肺损吐血。糯米饮方。
薜荔
以上一味药，每一二十叶，用纸贴放于阴处，切不可晒至干，收贴起，如有患者，现碾罗作细末。每次先研糯米煎浓饮，若煎饼面，稀稠可八分、一盏，舀药末一匙头，同搅调匀，临卧温服。
治疗吐血、咯血。青金散方。

以上六味药，和匀。徐徐呷之，以病愈为度。

以上二味药，等分，研匀。每次服用一钱匕，临卧糯米饮调下。
治疗吐血、溺血、衄血。竹茹汤方。

以上一味药，研细。每次服用一钱匕，冷热水调下，不限时候。
治疗吐血。天南星散方。
天南星（一两锉如骰子大）
以上药，用炭汁浸一宿，捞出，汤洗焙干，捣罗为散。每次服用一钱匕，用酒磨自然铜调下。
治疗肺损，吐血不止。地黄饮方。
生地黄（八两研取汁） 鹿角胶（一两炙燥，碾为末）
以上二味药，先用童子小便五合，在铜器中煎，次下地黄汁，及胶末打令匀，煎令熔，十沸后。分作三服，当止。
又一方：
地黄汁（六合） 牛皮胶（一两细研） 生姜（一块如大拇指，椎碎）
以上三味药，先用前两味在铜器中煎十数沸，次下牛皮胶，煎令消，滤去生姜。分作两服吃便止，或微转一行，不妨。
Discourse states: The ancients discussed hematemesis (vomiting blood) in three categories: one is called internal nasal bleeding (Nei Nu), the second is lung heat abscess (Fei Dan), and the third is stomach injury (Shang Wei). Internal nasal bleeding refers to body fluids flowing out from between the Heart and Lung, returning into the Stomach; the color resembles bean dregs, coagulating and remaining in the Stomach. When fullness and oppression occur, vomiting ensues, resembling epistaxis (nosebleed). Lung heat abscess refers to vomiting immediately after feeling full and oppressed from drinking alcohol, with blood being vomited up; the amount may be as little as one he (a traditional unit of volume) or as much as one sheng. Stomach injury refers to excessive food and drink intake, cold Stomach failing to digest, leading to irritability and forced vomiting; food and Qi rush upward, compressing and damaging the epigastrium, resulting in the vomiting of bright red blood. Although these three syndromes differ, they all fundamentally arise from severe deficiency and damage, as well as injuries caused by alcohol consumption and overexertion. Chao Yuanfang stated: The Lung is the canopy of the five Zang organs; the Heart and Liver both govern Blood. Pathogenic factors in the Upper Jiao injure the various Zang organs; when the Zang organs are injured, Blood descends into the Stomach. When the Stomach receives Blood, it causes fullness and oppression and rebellious Qi; due to this rebellious Qi, hematemesis occurs. Sun Simiao further stated: After hematemesis, if the body feels naturally comfortable and there is no sense of chest oppression, the condition will often resolve spontaneously. Practitioners should carefully examine such cases.
Discourse states: There are three types of hematemesis disease: First, it arises from heat accumulating in the Heart and Lung; Blood, affected by heat, acts recklessly and flows downward into the Stomach. The Stomach, receiving the heat, becomes full and oppressed, causing the airways to become congested, thus leading to hematemesis. Second, in patients with consumptive diseases, the internal Heart and Lung are damaged; anger causes Qi to rebel, the Liver fails to store Blood, and Blood escapes due to deficiency. Severe anger and Qi rebellion can even lead to vomiting blood. Third, it results from eating too much wine and food, causing discomfort in the Stomach, or forced vomiting, which disrupts Qi and vessels, injuring the Heart and Stomach, so that Blood comes out with the food; this is called stomach injury. Treatment should follow the specific syndrome.
Treatment for hematemesis. Lingyangjiao Tang (Antelope Horn Decoction) Formula.
Lingyangjiao (Antelope Horn, finely sliced, 3 liang) Fulonggan (Dragon's House Earth, 5 liang) Shuai (Prepared Mugwort Leaf, stir-fried, 1 liang) Diyü (Sanguisorba Root, cleaned of soil) Niuxi (Achyranthes Root, tips removed, soaked in wine, dried) Jigen (Thistle Root, each 3 liang) Jisu (Perilla Leaf).
The above twelve ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose consists of 3 qianbi (small spoonfuls), boiled with one zhan (cup) of water, adding half a piece of fresh ginger (crushed). Simmer until reduced to seven-tenths, strain, and take warm.
Treatment for hematemesis. Gadihuang Tang (Dried Rehmannia Decoction) Formula.
Sheng Dihuang (Fresh Dried Rehmannia Root, dried, 8 liang) Fulonggan (Dragon's House Earth, 6 liang) Xiong (Angelica Sinensis Rhizome, 1 liang) Danggui (Chinese Angelia Root, soaked in wine, sliced, dried, 3 liang) Gui (Cinnamon Twig, bark removed) Chishao (Red Peony Root) Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root) Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, processed, each 2 liang) Xixin (Asarum Root, tips and leaves removed, 0.5 liang) Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, cut, 1 liang) Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit, washed in hot water).
The above eleven ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose consists of 3 qianbi, boiled with half a cup of water and half a cup of wine until reduced to seven-tenths. Strain and take warm, on an empty stomach and before meals.
Treatment for lung injury, hematemesis, and coughing up blood. Tongsheng San (Universal Salvation Powder) Formula.
Jinxingshi (Gold Star Stone) Yinxingshi (Silver Star Stone) Taiyinxuanjingshi (Taiyin Crystal Stone) Yunmu (Muscovite) Yangqishi (Leptodactylus Bone) Buhui Mu (Non-ash Wood).
The above six ingredients are used in equal parts. Take one clay pot, first spread a layer of sieved Zi Dong Hui (Purple Winter Ash, made from cow dung), about one to two cun thick. Place a layer of herbs, then cover with one to two cun of ash, tamping it down firmly. Add another layer of herbs, covering with ash as before. Seal the top and bottom with ash, and secure with salt mud. Regardless of the quantity of herbs, burn with one cheng (unit of weight) of charcoal in a quiet room, tightly sealed against wind, for one day and one night. After cooling, remove. Dig a pit in clean ground, about one chi deep, bury the pot overnight. Remove the pot, pick out the herb blocks, sieve the rest through a coarse sieve to remove ash, grind the herbs into powder, and further pulverize in a mortar until extremely fine. Store in a jar. For every 1 liang of herb powder, add 0.5 qian of Longnao (Borneol) and Muxiang (Musk), and 1 fen of Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried). Grind together, mix evenly with 1 liang of the aforementioned herb powder. Each dose is 1 qianbi or half a qianbi. Grind a small amount of glutinous rice finely, add a little Mentha Juice and Honey, boil into a drink, and take warm. Take on an empty stomach, at noon, and before bed.
Treatment for hematemesis. Wutong San (Five Passages Powder) Formula.
Badou (Croton Seed, 50 seeds, peeled) Baifan (White Flour, 1 liang) Yuliren (Bush Cherry Kernel, 350 seeds) Yanchi (Fermented Soybean, 350 grains) Fulonggan (Dragon's House Earth, 2 liang).
The above five ingredients are stir-fried in a pot until cooked, stirring constantly, until smoke turns blue-green. Pour out and place in a damp area to remove fire toxicity. Pound and sieve into a powder. Each dose is 0.5 qianbi, taken with warm honey water. For hemoptysis (coughing up blood), use 1 liang of the above powder mixed with 2 liang of Yinzhou Ge Fen (Yinzhou Clam Powder), ground fine. Each dose is 1 qianbi, taken with half a cup of Allium Macrostemon Juice and two drops of raw oil, after meals.
Treatment for hematemesis and all kinds of blood diseases where other medicines fail. Wu Jin San (Black Gold Powder) Formula.
Lingli Jia (Pangolin Scales) Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn, finely sliced) Huangming Jiao (Yellow Clear Gelatin) Chi Liyu Pi (Red Carp Skin, each 1 liang) Taifa (Fetal Hair, 1.5 liang) Du Jiao Xian (Unicorn Beetle, 1 piece, wings, head, and feet removed).
The above six ingredients are placed in a clay bottle with a hole at the bottom. Seal with paper paste and mud, dry in the sun. Burn with 5 jin of charcoal clustered around. When smoke ceases, remove fire, cool, and take out. Grind finely into powder. Each dose is 1 qianbi, with a little Nifen (Calomel) added freshly. For continuous hematemesis or epistaxis, take with fresh well water; for postpartum blood syncope, coma, and confusion, take with cold vinegar soup; for blood qi pain, take with warm wine; for hemoptysis, blood stasis, internal abscesses, lower bleeding, red dysentery, bloody dysentery, gu-toxin dysentery, intestinal wind, and bleeding from the five hemorrhoids, take with rice drink. Take before bed and on an empty stomach. Adjust dosage according to deficiency or excess, up to 2 qianbi. Effectiveness is indicated by the discharge of accumulated matter.
Treatment for hemoptysis and hematemesis in men and women. Ejiao San (Donkey-hide Gelatin Powder) Formula.
Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried until dry) Baiji (Bletilla Rhizome) Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root) Bailian (Ampelopsis Rhizome) Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark, bark removed, soaked in honey water, fried to red color, each 1 liang).
The above five ingredients are pounded and sieved into powder. Each dose is 3 qianbi, taken with glutinous rice porridge drink, on an empty stomach and before meals, three times daily. Reduce dose for children.
Treatment for diet injuring the Lung, hematemesis, and coughing up blood. Wusheng Tang (Five Virtues Decoction) Formula.
Muxiang (Costus Root) Mituosen (Lead Monoxide) Chanke (Cicada Slough, legs removed) Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, cut, each 0.5 liang) Huangming Niu Jiao (Yellow Clear Beef Gelatin, two pieces: one fried with butter, one raw and cut).
The above five ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 3 qianbi, boiled with one zhan of water until reduced to five-tenths. Strain and take warm long after meals.
Treatment for hematemesis. Huang Yao San (Yellow Herb Powder) Formula.
Huangqi (Astragalus Root, cut) Baiji (Bletilla Rhizome) Bailian (Ampelopsis Rhizome) Huangming Jiao (Yellow Clear Gelatin, fried until dry, each 2 liang).
The above four ingredients are pounded and sieved into powder. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with glutinous rice drink.
Treatment for hematemesis. Lüyun San (Green Cloud Powder) Formula.
Baiye (Biota Top Leaf) Baihe (Lily Bulb) Renshen (Ginseng Root) Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried until dry, each 2 liang).
The above four ingredients are pounded and sieved into powder. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with glutinous rice porridge drink.
Treatment for hematemesis. Shenxiao Jinzhu Wan (Divine Efficacy Cinnabar-Gold Pill) Formula.
Dansha (Cinnabar, 0.5 liang) Jinbo (Gold Foil, 4 pieces) Qiuyin (Earthworm, 3 pieces).
The above three ingredients: first grind Dansha and Jinbo finely, then grind with Qiuyin. Mix with the previous two ingredients to form pills the size of small soapberries. Take one pill with cold wine, do not chew.
Treatment for hematemesis and hemoptysis. Shenxiao San (Divine Efficacy Powder) Formula.
Lujiao Jiao (Deer Antler Gelatin, fried until dry) Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark, bark removed, each 0.5 liang) Xingren (Apricot Kernel, 49 seeds, soaked in water, peel and tip removed, bran-fried to yellow).
The above three ingredients are pounded and sieved into powder. Each dose is 1 qianbi, taken with 1 qian of wheat bran and warm water. Take after meals.
Treatment for hematemesis. Jinfen Tang (Gold Powder Decoction) Formula.
Shu Dihuang (Prepared Dried Rehmannia Root, dried) Puhuang (Tiger Lily Pollen, each 1 liang) Xiong (Angelica Sinensis Rhizome, 0.5 liang).
The above three ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 3 qianbi, boiled with one and a half zhan of water and 14 grains of glutinous rice until reduced to seven-tenths. Strain and take warm.
Treatment for hematemesis and hemoptysis. Mianhui San (Cotton Ash Powder) Formula.
Xinmian (New Cotton, 1 liang, burned to ash) Huangming Jiao (Yellow Clear Gelatin, fried until dry) Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark, bark removed, honey-fried, powdered, each 1 liang).
The above three ingredients are finely ground. Each dose is 1 qianbi, taken with Rehmannia Juice and glutinous rice drink mixed, after meals and before bed.
Treatment for hematemesis and hemoptysis. Jinsha Tang (Gold Sand Decoction) Formula.
Zijinsha (Purple Gold Sand, wild bee nest with mud, 0.5 liang) Beimu (Fritillaria Bulb, heart removed, 2 qian, raw) Lushen (Aloe, 1 qian).
The above three ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 2 qianbi, boiled with half a zhan of water and a little honey for one or two boils. Strain and sip slowly. Take on an empty stomach, after meals, and before bed.
Treatment for extreme heat causing hematemesis. Zican San (Purple Ginseng Powder) Formula.
Zican (Codonopsis Root) Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried until dry, each 2 liang) Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, cut, 1 liang).
The above three ingredients are pounded and sieved into powder. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with warm glutinous rice drink, at any time.
Treatment for hematemesis. Xingmi Gao (Apricot Honey Paste) Formula.
Zhufei (Pig Lung, one piece, boiled soft in porcelain, soaked in cold water to remove membrane) Xingren (Apricot Kernel, peel and tip removed, double-kernel removed, fried) Mi (Honey, boiled, each 2 liang).
The above three ingredients are ground together, steamed over rice, and mixed with 2 qian of Muxiang (Costus Root) and Fuzi (Aconite Root) powder. Form into a paste. Take half a spoonful, mixed with one zhan of wine, three times daily.
Treatment for hematemesis. Ou Zhi San (Lotus Root Juice Powder) Formula.
Baifuling (Poria, black skin removed) Sheng Dihuang (Fresh Dried Rehmannia Root, dried) Puhuang (Tiger Lily Pollen).
The above three ingredients are used in equal parts, pounded and sieved into fine powder. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with half a zhan of fresh lotus root juice, mixed evenly and taken at once to stop bleeding immediately.
Treatment for hematemesis. Dusheng San (Single Sage Powder) Formula.
Wan Sangye (Late Mulberry Leaf, lightly roasted, quantity unspecified).
The above ingredient is pounded and sieved into fine powder. Each dose is 3 qianbi, mixed with cold winter tea into a paste, with a little Musk added. Hold in mouth at night, swallow saliva. One dose stops bleeding; thereafter use Lung-tonifying medicines.
Treatment for hematemesis. Bufei Zhufei San (Tonify Lung and Boiled Lung Powder) Formula.
Xingren (Apricot Kernel, 120 seeds, peel and tip removed, roasted on new tile, ground) Baihe (Lily Bulb, 4 liang) Nuomi (Glutinous Rice, 1 he) Congbai (Scallion White, 3 stalks, together with Xingren).
The above four ingredients are mixed evenly. Stuff into one Pig Lung, tie with hemp thread, and boil in a clay pot with water until half is gone. Flip and cook thoroughly. Slice with bamboo knife. Chew thoroughly with the medicine, take with honey water. Continue until five lungs are consumed.
Treatment for sudden hematemesis and coughing up blood. Guanzhong San (Cyathula Powder) Formula.
Guanzhong (Cyathula Root, 1 liang) Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome, remove roots, old ones 0.5 liang, young ones 0.3 liang).
The above two ingredients are pounded and sieved into fine powder. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with strong glutinous rice drink to stop bleeding immediately.
Treatment for hematemesis. Yunxue San (Cloud Snow Powder) Formula.
Yunxue (Cold Food Noodles) Puhuang (Tiger Lily Pollen, each 1 liang).
The above two ingredients are used raw, ground evenly. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with cold water.
Treatment for hematemesis. Xiangcao Tang (Herbal Grass Decoction) Formula.
Shacaogen (Cyperus Root, hairs removed, 5 liang) Gancao (Licorice Root, cut 1 liang, honey-fried).
The above two ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 2 qianbi, boiled with one zhan of water until reduced to seven-tenths. Strain and take warm.
Treatment for hematemesis. Lujiao Jiao Wan (Deer Antler Gelatin Pill) Formula.
Lujiao Jiao (Deer Antler Gelatin, fried until dry) Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark, bark removed, each 1 liang).
The above two ingredients are pounded into powder. Add 49 Xingren (Apricot Kernels, soaked in water, peel and tip removed, double-kernel removed, fried to yellow), grind fine, mix evenly, and bind with refined honey into pills the size of cherries. Take one pill, hold in mouth, swallow saliva.
Treatment for various types of hematemesis. Zhufen San (Cinnabar Powder) Formula.
Dansha (Cinnabar, ground and purified) Ge Fen (Clam Powder).
The above two ingredients are used in equal parts, ground fine and mixed evenly. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with warm wine.
Treatment for hematemesis. Huangyao San (Yellow Medicine Powder) Formula.
Huangyaozi (Curcuma Zedoary Tuber) Fangji (Stephania Root).
The above two ingredients are used in equal parts, pounded and sieved into powder. Each dose is 1 qianbi, taken with wheat decoction. For severe vomiting, one dose reduces symptoms, two doses stop them.
Treatment for hematemesis. Yigong San (Extraordinary Merit Powder) Formula.
Renshen (Ginseng Root, 1 liang).
The above ingredient is pounded and sieved into powder, passed through fine silk again to be extremely fine. At dawn during rooster crowing, mix with egg white and thin paste, take with a spoon. If one person's dose of Renshen is finished, it is very good; if not, half a liang is also acceptable. Lie down after taking.

Treatment for lung injury causing hematemesis. Nuomi Yin (Glutinous Rice Drink) Formula.
Bili (Fig Leaf Vine).
Take ten to twenty leaves, paste with paper and place in shade, do not dry in sun. Collect and paste. For patients, grind fresh into fine powder. First, grind glutinous rice and boil strong drink. If making pancake batter, adjust thickness to eight-tenths, one zhan. Add one spoonful of powder, mix evenly, take warm before bed.
Treatment for hematemesis and hemoptysis. Qingjin San (Blue Gold Powder) Formula.
Heye (Lotus Leaf, quantity unspecified).
The above ingredient is roasted dry, pounded and sieved into powder. Take 2 qianbi with rice drink.
Treatment for hematemesis. Heishen San (Black Divine Powder) Formula.
Gualou (Trichosanthes Fruit, select regular ones, wrap in paper paste and mud, leave one eye at top, charred but not burnt, place in earth pit overnight).
Remove mud, pound and sieve into powder. Each dose is 3 qianbi, taken with glutinous rice drink. Stop after second dose.
Treatment for hematemesis. Aihui San (Mugwort Ash Powder) Formula.
Ai (Mugwort Leaf, quantity unspecified).
Burn to ash, grind fine. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with fresh well water.
Treatment for sudden hematemesis of one or two mouthfuls. Dihuang Yin (Rehmannia Drink) Formula.
Sheng Dihuang (Fresh Dried Rehmannia Root, dried, 5 liang) Wangbuliuxing (Vaccaria Seed) Mudanpi (Tree Peony Bark, each 2 liang) Chishao (Red Peony Root) Bixie (Dioscorea Hypoglauca Rhizome, each 4 liang) Maidong (Ophiopogon Tuber, heart removed).
The above ten ingredients, except Shiqiao (Grub), are coarsely crushed. Boil with 3 sheng of Fresh Rehmannia Juice, 3 sheng of Red Horse Manure Juice, and Shiqiao together until reduced to 3.5 sheng. Strain, divide into six warm doses, take on empty stomach and before meals.
Treatment for hematemesis, epistaxis, and bleeding from upper and lower orifices. Zhuye Shaoyao Tang (Leaf and Peony Decoction) Formula.
Zhuye (Bamboo Leaf, 6 he) Chishao (Red Peony Root) Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, cut, each 1 liang) Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried dry, 3 liang) Danggui (Chinese Angelia Root, sliced, dried, 1.5 liang).
The above five ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 5 qianbi, boiled with one and a half zhan of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm, after meals, twice daily.
Treatment for extreme heat in Heart and Lung, wheezing, fullness, and hematemesis. Dihuang Yin (Rehmannia Drink) Formula.
Dihuang Zhi (Rehmannia Juice) Sheng Ou Zhi (Fresh Lotus Root Juice) Xiaoji Gen Zhi (Small Thistle Root Juice) Niubang Zhi (Arctium Juice, each 2 he) Sheng Mi (Raw Honey) Shengjiang Zhi (Fresh Ginger Juice, each 1 liang).
Mix evenly. Sip slowly until cured.
Treatment for hematemesis and spitting blood. Chishao Yao San (Red Peony Powder) Formula.
Chishao (Red Peony Root) Danggui (Chinese Angelia Root, sliced, dried) Fuzi (Aconite Root, processed, peel and navel removed) Huangqin (Scutellaria Root, remove black heart) Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, cut, each 1 liang) Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried dry, 2 liang) Sheng Dihuang (Fresh Dried Rehmannia Root, dried, 4 liang).
The above eight ingredients are pounded and sieved into powder. Each dose is 3 qianbi, taken with warm wine on an empty stomach, three times daily.

Xinmian (New Cotton, burned to ash, ground) Huangming Jiao (Yellow Clear Gelatin, fried dry, pounded to powder).
The above two ingredients are used in equal parts, ground evenly. Each dose is 1 qianbi, taken with glutinous rice drink before bed.

Qing Zhuru (Green Bamboo Sheath, cut, 1 sheng) Shaoyao (Peony Root, 2 liang) Xiong (Angelica Sinensis Rhizome) Danggui (Chinese Angelia Root, sliced, dried) Gui (Cinnamon Twig, bark removed) Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, cut, each 3 liang).
The above seven ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 3 qianbi, boiled with one zhan of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm, at any time.
Treatment for hematemesis and bleeding from upper and lower orifices. Sanwu Tang (Three Things Decoction) Formula.
Sheng Dihuang (Fresh Rehmannia Root, 7.5 liang) Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried dry, 3 fen) Bailian (Ampelopsis Rhizome, 8 liang).
Chop like hemp seeds. Each dose is 7 qianbi, boiled with two zhan of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm on an empty stomach.
Treatment for hematemesis.
Shetui (Snake Slough, burned to ash).
Grind fine. Each dose is 1 qianbi, taken with cold or hot water, at any time.
Treatment for hematemesis. Tiannanxing San (Arisaema Powder) Formula.
Tiannanxing (Arisaema Rhizome, 1 liang, cut into dice-sized pieces).
Soak in charcoal juice overnight, drain, wash with water, dry, pound and sieve into powder. Each dose is 1 qianbi, taken with wine and grinding Natural Copper (Ziran Tong).
Treatment for lung injury, continuous hematemesis. Dihuang Yin (Rehmannia Drink) Formula.
Sheng Dihuang (Fresh Rehmannia Root, 8 liang, ground for juice) Lujiao Jiao (Deer Antler Gelatin, 1 liang, fried dry, ground to powder).
First, boil 5 he of Boy Tong Xiao Bian (Boy's Urine) in a copper vessel. Then add Dihuang Zhi (Rehmannia Juice) and Jiao Mo (Gelatin Powder), mix well, boil until melted, for ten boils. Divide into three doses, should stop.
Another formula:
Dihuang Zhi (Rehmannia Juice, 6 he) Niupi Jiao (Cowhide Gelatin, 1 liang, finely ground) Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger, one piece the size of a thumb, crushed).

Equal parts. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken with glutinous rice porridge.
Another formula:
Baishaoyao (White Peony Root, 4 liang, burned to retain nature).
Cover with a bowl on the ground to remove fire toxicity, grind to powder. Each dose is 3 qianbi, taken with glutinous rice drink.
