论曰癞者，内经为厉。厉者营气热。其气不清。故使其鼻柱坏而色败。皮肤疡溃。其证
不同。其始则乍寒乍热。腠理壅塞。血气精髓耗竭。久而不治。令人 痹。汗不流泄。手足
酸疼。面目习习奕奕。胸颈间状如虫行。身体遍痒。搔之成疮。或身体锥刺不痛。青赤黄黑
如腐木形。或痛无常处。流移非一。或似绳缚拘急。不可俯仰。眼目浮肿。小便黄赤余沥。
心神恍惚而善忘也。日月浸久。其风化生毒虫。虫既变动。外先食气血。肤革不泽。甚则内
食五脏。食肝则眉睫堕落。食肺则鼻柱损坏。食脾则语声散乱。食肾则耳闻雷鼓之音。食心
则死

枚。六一泥固济火干。以先研玄精石至胡粉六味末。平分一半。布在罐子内。次入硫黄至金
薄八味在中。又尽玄精石等末在上。别入金薄二十片。药上盖定后。以六一泥固济。留半寸
许。
入一大罐满着水。坐药罐在上。不得令水蘸湿。用火一斤。去罐五寸垂胎养三复时毕。出药
罐方始泥合缝。又加火至三斤。仍旧去罐远近。亦三复时。至满日平明。用火五斤。簇药罐
子。烧令通赤。一食顷便去火。用灰培罐子上。次用湿土 盖令实。至来日平明。取出药细
研。用重熟帛带湿包裹药。置于净新湿土内。培 三复时。每日夜三次细洒水于土上。常以
大盆合盖。俟出火毒日足。别密缝一夹绢袋贮药。于银石器中。用水二斗。甘草一斤。捣为
末。上垂药袋。不得到底。煮一复时。取出焙干。再研如粉。与后十九味草药末同研匀。用
蒸枣肉丸如樱桃大。每服一丸。用苦参黄连浸酒三合磨下。治一切毒风。豆淋酒下半丸。日
二夜一。其煮药甘草水。有疮痍疥癣风热毒聚。淋洗即瘥。一应瘫痪角弓反张身有 痹急
风浑身瘙痒走注疼痛破伤等风。服讫盖覆出汗。遍身 肿不散。桦皮灰酒。惊痫煎金银汤。
肠风泻血煎荆芥汤。小儿天 。煎薄荷汤。酒相解磨一丸。分五服。小儿夜啼惊悸。研丹砂
水磨一丸。分八服。仍以半丸入绯袋与男左女右。系在臂上。唐新录云。天台老人。付此方
于金仙道士。进明皇帝。至咸通时。始传于世。
治大风癞神效桑柳煎丸方
东引桑枝（十二月采） 东引柳枝（正月采各二斤） 干槐子（十月采一斤各锉如豆粒
大）
上三味。用童子小便二斗。春秋夏浸经两日。冬浸七日。别用长流水五斗。泉水二斗。
同煎至一斗。绞取汁。更煎至五升。入白蜜五合。又煎如稠饧。以瓷合盛。经一宿后服。余
药滓阴干。入熟绢袋收。取桃仁吴茱萸各二两生用。与药滓三两半。同入锅内炒黄。乘热入
瓷瓶。重纸盖口紧系。一复时择去桃仁茱萸不用。只用煎滓三两。却加原蚕砂干白椹仙灵脾
牛膝防风各三两。同捣罗为末。炼蜜丸如梧桐子大。每服取前煎三钱至五钱匕。用热酒五合
调化下二十丸。空心食前夜卧各一服。别更入红雪或经火朴硝。尤佳。
治大风恶疾。滑泄精气。麋角散方
麋角（半斤先用桑柴灰二斗煎汤淋取汁三斗次截糜角入灰汁中慢火煮尽汁为度候干取四

上一十一味。除为灰五味外。捣罗为末。拌和令匀。用乌蛇卵为丸。如梧桐子大。每服
二十丸。空腹酒下。无蛇卵。用乌蛇肉为末。酒煎如糊为丸亦得。
治大风癞病乌麻子丸方
乌麻子（一斗九蒸九曝别捣） 天麻（去苗二两） 丁香 乳香（别研各一两） 苏枋
木黄栌木（各五两内黄栌木细锉以新汲水一斗瓷瓮内浸二七日漉出焙其浸木水留之）
上六味。捣研为末拌匀。用赤黍米一升净淘。以浸木水煮为稠粥。研膏熟杵为丸。如梧
桐子大。每服二十丸至三十丸。食后用浆水下。日二夜一。
治大风耳穴鼻梁倒坏。还肌煎方
杜落崖（一秤亦名克颇草） 无灰酒（五斗）
上二味、和根茎叶细锉置锅内。旋入酒煮令稠。滤去滓。再熬成膏。入新瓷器盛。更取
桑东
室内
治大风癞。及热毒风 疮疥癞。苦参丸方
苦参（于九月末旬掘出根去黑皮曝干用粉一斤） 枳壳（去瓤麸炒六两）
上二味。捣罗为末。炼蜜为丸。如梧桐子大。每服三十丸。患冷者以温酒下。余以粟米
饮。或淡浆水下。食后服。日二夜一。若苦参根皮薄者。即连皮用。但细锉捣取粉。弃滓不
可用。
治大风癞疾。胡麻续肌散方
胡麻（半升） 天麻（二两） 乳香（三分别研）
上三味。捣罗二味为细散。入乳香和匀。每服二钱匕。用荆芥腊茶调下。慎房室盐酒一
百日。服药半月后。两腰眼中灸二七壮。次常服补药。
治大风癞病。神虎丸方
乌头（生去皮脐） 莨菪子 吴茱萸（汤洗七遍） 黑豆（生去皮等分）
上四味。捣罗为末。滴水为丸。如梧桐子大。每服十五丸。冷水下日三。如疮脓血溃烂
甚者。更用后药蛇床子散。
治大风癞病蛇床子散洗方
蛇床子 莨菪子（等分）
上二味。捣罗为散。每量多少。浓煎汁洗疮。逐日服神虎丸。十日疮渐干。半月后须眉
渐生。如风癞眼不见物。病退更服后千金散。
治大风癞病。千金散方
皂荚刺（烧灰） 大黄（九蒸九曝干）
上二味。各为散。每用大黄末一钱匕。以水七分煎令沸。调皂荚刺灰二钱匕。食后临卧
服日三。鼻坏指落者亦治。
治大风癞鲎鱼胆散方
鲎鱼胆 白矾 绿矾（各生用） 腻粉 水银 麝香（各半两）
上六味。一处细研。时点少许水。研水银星尽为度。每服一钱至二钱匕。井华水空心调
下。
牙疼
治大风癞疾。黑豆方
黑豆（二升细粒者） 天雄（去皮脐生用五两） 乌头（去皮脐生用七两）
上三味。锉乌头天雄如豆粒大。用水二斗。慢火煎至七升。去滓浸黑豆二升。一复时漉
出曝干。更浸更曝。以渗尽汁为度。曝取干。每服三枚至七枚。空心食前。用酒下日二服。
唇口
治大风癞病。身体面目。俱有疮痍。恶汁自出。艾蒿温酒方
白艾蒿（十束每束如升许大净择水洗细锉）
上一味。煮取浓汁。拌曲米。一如常酝法。酒熟去糟取清酒。稍稍饮之。令常醺醺然。
治大风癞病。天门冬丸方
天门冬（去心生用五斗研绞取汁）
上一味。内瓷器中。密盖口。以蜡封。勿走药气。于净室中经一年。取开其色赤如沙糖
。即入少苦参粉。及干地黄末。为丸如梧桐子大。每服十丸。温熟水下。食后服。
治大风癞疾。百花煎方
白蜜（二十两） 石榴（七颗甜者并皮用） 生姜（去皮细切八两）
上三味。先研生姜石榴。绞取自然汁。更滤令净入蜜。盛于瓷瓶。以蜡纸封口。勿令通
气。垂系于釜中。勿到底。以重汤煎一复时成煎。空心酒调二钱匕。渐加至三钱匕。日二夜
一。旬日内有恶物随便而出。是病根散矣。
治大风癞病。面赤疹起。手足挛急。身发疮痍。及指节已落者。黄精煎方

上三味。先将黄精生地黄洗净细锉。以木石杵臼。捣熟复研烂。入水三斗。绞取汁。置

上二味。用水一处浸。七宿后。空心日午临卧。只用浸药水。吞下蓖麻一片子。水尽旋

治大风癞疾圣效散淋渫方
马棘叶（三斤）
上一味。捣为细末。夏月取马棘青叶。与干末同捣。捏作饼子。曝干再为细末。每用三
两。水十五碗煎取沸。滤入大盆。淋渫遍身。及偏渫肉损烂处。日三次。不过半月。肌体复
完。
治大风疾取五色虫。诸石丸方

上一十二味。捣碎。以罐子盛。用炭火十斤 。以火尽为度。取出捣研为末。醋煎面糊
为丸。如小豆大。每服十五丸。用后补药下。
补药茯苓散方
白茯苓（去黑皮） 人参 天麻苗 木香 枸杞根 狗脊（去毛） 天麻 芎 蓬莪
术景天（护火草是也） 青葙子 海桐皮（各一两锉）
上一十二味各生用。捣罗为散。每服二钱匕。白花蛇酒调。下前丸药。日三服。忌鸡猪
鱼蒜一百日。当见大效。
治大风疾愈风丸方

淋渫药方
干茄子茎 黍穣 艾叶（各一两）
论述说：癞病，在《内经》中称为厉。厉的病机是营气受热，其气不清澈，从而导致鼻柱塌陷、面色败坏、皮肤溃疡。其症状表现各异。初期则忽冷忽热，腠理闭塞，血气精髓耗竭，若久治不愈，会导致身体麻痹，汗液无法排泄，手足酸痛，面目麻木恍惚，胸颈部感觉如虫爬行，全身遍痒，搔抓后形成疮疡。或者身体有锥刺感但不痛，肤色青赤黄黑如腐木状，或者疼痛无固定部位，游走不定。或者感觉像被绳子捆绑拘急，不能俯仰，眼目浮肿，小便黄赤且淋漓不尽，心神恍惚且容易健忘。随着时间推移，风气化生毒虫，虫体变动，先在外侵蚀气血，使皮肤失去光泽，严重时向内侵蚀五脏。侵蚀肝脏则眉毛睫毛脱落，侵蚀肺部则鼻柱损坏，侵蚀脾脏则声音散乱，侵蚀肾脏则耳闻雷鼓之声，侵蚀心脏则死亡。
治疗大风癞疾的羚羊角散方：
羚羊角（镑片） 犀角（镑片） 吴茱萸（汤洗焙干炒各一分） 羌活（去芦头） 独活（去芦头各半两） 麻黄（去根节煎掠去沫焙） 乌蛇（酒浸去皮骨炙） 蔓荆实（去白皮） 当归（切焙） 蒺藜子（炒去角各半两）。
以上十四味药，捣碎过筛为散剂。每次服用一钱匕，空腹食前，用温酒调服。
治疗大风癞疾，如果出现眼脉断绝、指节脱落、脚下有疮、声音嘶哑，则为不可治之症。如果尚未出现这些症状，适宜服用乌蛇丸方：
乌蛇（一条酒浸去皮骨尾取三两） 檀香（锉碎） 丁香 茜根（锉碎） 紫葛（锉碎） 防风（去叉） 苦参 独活（去芦头） 沙参（去芦头） 栀子仁 酸枣仁（生用） 槐子（炒） 白芷 附子 羚羊角（镑片） 防风 苗土 乌药（锉碎各三分）。
以上二十八味药，捣碎过筛为末，炼蜜制成如赤小豆大小的丸剂。每次空腹用温酒送服十至十五丸，每日两次。不饮酒者可用薄荷槐白皮汤送服。如果想要快速痊愈，适宜使用下方的汤药辅助。
治疗大风癞疾的下药桑枝汤方：
桑枝 柳枝 槐枝 枸杞根 黄荆根 羚羊角（镑片各一两）。
以上六味药，均生用，锉如麻豆大小。每次用药五钱匕，加水一盏半，煎取七分，去渣滓，加入前面的丸药服用。服药一个月，必定会感到四肢皮肤瘙痒疼痛难忍，此时只宜饮酒睡觉，不得搔抓，仍要频繁进食，避开外风。如果有出汗，必然形色不定，但在瘙痒之后，仔细观察，或从小便中排出，或从泄利中排出，效果显著。此病稍退后，终身禁止房事，并忌食动风之物，时常以苦参汤洗浴，必须更换新衣，旧衣及床席等全部焚烧。
治疗大风癞的黑龙丹方：

以上三十三味药，除天南星以下十九味捣罗为末外，前硫黄以下十四味，用一个烧药瓷罐，用六一泥固济火干，先将玄精石至胡粉六味末平分一半铺在罐底，其次放入硫黄至金薄八味在中，又将剩余的玄精石等末铺在上面，另外放入金薄二十片，盖定药后，再用六一泥固济，留半寸许口，放入一个大罐装满水，将药罐坐于水中，不得让水蘸湿药罐，用火一斤，距离罐底五寸，养火三个时辰毕，取出药罐才封合缝隙，又加火至三斤，依旧距离罐底远近，也是三个时辰，到满日平明，用火五斤，簇拥药罐，烧令通赤，一顿饭功夫便去火，用灰培罐子上，次用湿土覆盖令实，到次日平明，取出药细研，用重熟帛带湿包裹药，置于净新湿土内，培护三个时辰，每日夜三次细洒水于土上，常以大盆合盖，等到出火毒日足，另密缝一个夹绢袋贮药，于银石器中，用水二斗，甘草一斤，捣为末，垂挂药袋，不得到底，煮一个复时，取出焙干，再研如粉，与后十九味草药末同研匀，用蒸枣肉丸如樱桃大。每次服用一丸，用苦参黄连浸酒三合磨下。治疗一切毒风，用豆淋酒送服半丸，每日二次夜间一次。其煮药的甘草水，若有疮痍疥癣风热毒聚，淋洗即愈。一应瘫痪角弓反张身有痹急风浑身瘙痒走注疼痛破伤等风，服完盖覆出汗，遍身肿不散，用桦皮灰酒解；惊痫煎金银汤解；肠风泻血煎荆芥汤解；小儿天钓，煎薄荷汤解；酒相解磨一丸，分五服；小儿夜啼惊悸，研丹砂水磨一丸，分八服。仍以半丸入绯袋与男左女右，系在臂上。唐新录云，天台老人将此方付给金仙道士，进献给明皇帝，至咸通年间，始传于世。
治疗大风癞神效桑柳煎丸方：
东引桑枝（十二月采） 东引柳枝（正月采各二斤） 干槐子（十月采一斤各锉如豆粒大）。
以上三味药，用童子小便二斗，春秋夏浸经两日，冬浸七日。另用长流水五斗，泉水二斗，同煎至一斗，绞取汁，再煎至五升，入白蜜五合，又煎如稠饧，以瓷盒盛，经一宿后服。余药滓阴干，入熟绢袋收。取桃仁吴茱萸各二两生用，与药滓三两半，同入锅内炒黄，乘热入瓷瓶，重纸盖口紧系，一个复时择去桃仁茱萸不用，只用煎滓三两，却加原蚕砂干白椹仙灵脾牛膝防风各三两，同捣罗为末，炼蜜丸如梧桐子大。每次取前煎三钱至五钱匕，用热酒五合调化下二十丸，空腹食前夜卧各一服。别更入红雪或经火朴硝，尤佳。
治疗大风恶疾，滑泄精气，麋角散方：
麋角（半斤先用桑柴灰二斗煎汤淋取汁三斗次截糜角入灰汁中慢火煮尽汁为度候干取四两用） 芦荟 赤箭 蝎梢（酒炒） 麝香（研） 附子（炮裂去皮脐各半两） 干姜（炮一分）。
以上七味药，捣研为散。每次用五钱匕，入好腊茶末七钱匕和匀。凡患此疾，鼻梁未倒，语声未转，精气滑泄者，取药末一钱匕，用荆芥薄荷汤，如茶点热服。觉药力紧，每点入盐少许。
治疗大风疾，四肢不收，不能反复，两眉中疼痛，身重脑急，筋挛不可行履，时发寒热，足似锥刀所刺。此皆饮酒露卧，伤于风湿，从下上冲，腹背强直痹，营卫不足，精气虚弱，血脉壅塞，怵惕不乐，囊下冷湿。石斛散方：
石斛（去根二两半） 萆薢（炒） 柏子仁（各三分） 附子（炮裂去皮脐一两） 石龙芮（炙） 杜仲（去粗皮炙） 泽泻 牛膝（去苗酒浸切焙） 芍药 云母粉 防风（去叉） 山茱萸 细辛（各三分）。
以上十五味药，捣罗为散。每次服用一钱至二钱匕，空腹食前，用温酒送下。
治疗大风癞的天麻丸方：
天麻 白茯苓（去黑皮各二两） 白附子（炮一两半） 白芷 川芎（各二两） 附子（炮裂） 全蝎（炒） 桔梗（炒） 麝香（研半两）。
以上十六味药，除研外，捣罗为末，次将别研药和匀，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大。每次服用七丸至十丸，温酒送下，空腹日午临卧服。治一切风要出汗，即炒豆淋酒下，浓衣盖覆。
治疗大风癞，面上生疮，身多盗汗腹痛，黄耆丸方：
黄耆（锉） 防风（去叉） 丹参（去苗土） 白术 白茯苓（去黑皮） 川芎 枳壳（去瓤麸炒） 陈皮（去黑心） 柴胡（去苗）。
以上十六味药，捣罗为末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大。每次服用二十丸，空腹日午夜卧，用温水送下。
治疗大风癞的白僵蚕丸方：
白僵蚕（炒） 蛇蜕（烧灰） 皂荚刺（烧灰） 虾蟆（烧灰） 防风（去叉） 薄荷根（锉） 茵陈根（锉） 兰香根（锉） 蜥蜴（炙） 腰带皮灰 皮巾子灰（各半两）。
以上十一味药，除为灰五味外，捣罗为末，拌和令匀，用乌蛇卵为丸，如梧桐子大。每次服用二十丸，空腹酒下。无蛇卵，用乌蛇肉为末，酒煎如糊为丸亦得。
治疗大风癞病乌麻子丸方：

以上三味药，捣罗二味为细散，入乳香和匀。每次服用二钱匕，用荆芥腊茶调下。慎房室盐酒一百日，服药半月后，两腰眼中灸二七壮，次常服补药。
治疗大风癞病，神虎丸方：
乌头（生去皮脐） 莨菪子 吴茱萸（汤洗七遍） 黑豆（生去皮等分）。
以上四味药，捣罗为末，滴水为丸，如梧桐子大。每次服用十五丸，冷水送下，日三次。如疮脓血溃烂甚者，更用后药蛇床子散。
治疗大风癞病蛇床子散洗方：
蛇床子 莨菪子（等分）。
以上二味药，捣罗为散，每量多少，浓煎汁洗疮，逐日服神虎丸，十日疮渐干，半月后须眉渐生。如风癞眼不见物，病退更服后千金散。
治疗大风癞病，千金散方：
皂荚刺（烧灰） 大黄（九蒸九曝干）。
以上二味药，各为散。每次用大黄末一钱匕，以水七分煎令沸，调皂荚刺灰二钱匕，食后临卧服，日三次。鼻坏指落者亦治。
治疗大风癞鲎鱼胆散方：
鲎鱼胆 白矾 绿矾（各生用） 腻粉 水银 麝香（各半两）。
以上六味药，一处细研，时点少许水，研水银星尽为度。每次服用一钱至二钱匕，井华水空心调下。
牙疼
治疗大风癞疾，黑豆方：
黑豆（二升细粒者） 天雄（去皮脐生用五两） 乌头（去皮脐生用七两）。
以上三味药，锉乌头天雄如豆粒大，用水二斗，慢火煎至七升，去滓浸黑豆二升，一个复时漉出曝干，更浸更曝，以渗尽汁为度，曝取干。每次服用三枚至七枚，空腹食前，用酒送下，日二服。
唇口
治疗大风癞病，身体面目，俱有疮痍，恶汁自出，艾蒿温酒方：
白艾蒿（十束每束如升许大净择水洗细锉）。
以上一味药，煮取浓汁，拌曲米，一如常酝法，酒熟去糟取清酒，稍稍饮之，令常醺醺然。
治疗大风癞病，天门冬丸方：
天门冬（去心生用五斗研绞取汁）。
以上一味药，内瓷器中，密盖口，以蜡封，勿走药气，于净室中经一年，取开其色赤如沙糖，即入少苦参粉，及干地黄末，为丸如梧桐子大。每次服用十丸，温熟水下，食后服。
治疗大风癞疾，百花煎方：
白蜜（二十两） 石榴（七颗甜者并皮用） 生姜（去皮细切八两）。
以上三味药，先研生姜石榴，绞取自然汁，更滤令净入蜜，盛于瓷瓶，以蜡纸封口，勿令通气，垂系于釜中，勿到底，以重汤煎一个复时成煎。空腹酒调二钱匕，渐加至三钱匕，日二夜一，旬日内有恶物随便而出，是病根散矣。
治疗大风癞病，面赤疹起，手足挛急，身发疮痍，及指节已落者，黄精煎方：
黄精（生者十二斤） 白蜜（五斤） 生地黄（肥者五斤）。

服风
治疗大风疾鼻坏者神效方：
蓖麻子（去皮切为两片） 黄连（去须锉各五两）。
以上二味药，用水一处浸，七宿后，空心日午临卧，只用浸药水，吞下蓖麻一片子，水尽旋添，勿令干。
治疗大风癞疾圣效散淋渫方：
马棘叶（三斤）。
以上一味药，捣为细末，夏月取马棘青叶，与干末同捣，捏作饼子，曝干再为细末。每次用三两，水十五碗煎取沸，滤入大盆，淋渫遍身，及偏渫肉损烂处，日三次，不过半月，肌体复完。
治疗大风疾取五色虫，诸石丸方：
金星石 银星石 云母石 禹余粮石 滑石 自然铜 磁石 生干地黄 龙仙石（出齐州又名龙涎石） 阳起石 密陀僧 凝水石（各一两）。
以上十二味药，捣碎，以罐子盛，用炭火十斤，以火尽为度，取出捣研为末，醋煎面糊为丸，如小豆大。每次服用十五丸，用后补药下。
补药茯苓散方：
白茯苓（去黑皮） 人参 天麻苗 木香 枸杞根 狗脊（去毛） 天麻 川芎 蓬莪术 景天（护火草是也） 青葙子 海桐皮（各一两锉）。
以上十二味药各生用，捣罗为散。每次服用二钱匕，白花蛇酒调，下前丸药，日三服，忌鸡猪鱼蒜一百日，当见大效。

Commentary states: Leprosy (Lai), referred to as "Li" in the *Neijing* (Inner Canon). The pathogenesis of Li involves heat in Ying Qi (Nutritive Qi), causing turbid Qi, which leads to the collapse of the nasal bridge, deterioration of complexion, and ulceration of the skin. Symptoms vary. Initially, there is alternating chills and fever, obstruction of Cou Li (skin pores and interstices), depletion of Blood Qi and Essence. If untreated for a long time, it causes Bi syndrome (obstruction/pain), inability to sweat, soreness and pain in hands and feet, numbness and dizziness of the face and eyes, sensation of insects crawling in the chest and neck, generalized pruritus, and sores formed by scratching. Alternatively, there may be needle-like sensations without pain, skin turning blue, red, yellow, or black like rotten wood, or pain migrating without fixed location. There may be a sensation of being bound by ropes with stiffness, inability to bend or extend, edema of eyes and eyelids, yellow-red scanty urination, mental confusion, and forgetfulness. As time passes, wind transforms into toxic insects. These insects move about, first consuming Qi and Blood externally, making the skin lusterless; severely, they consume the Five Zang Organs internally. Consuming the Liver causes eyebrows and eyelashes to fall out; consuming the Lungs damages the nasal bridge; consuming the Spleen causes scattered voice; consuming the Kidneys causes hearing thunderous sounds; consuming the Heart leads to death.
Formula for Lingyang Jiao San (Antelope Horn Powder) to treat severe leprosy:
Antelope Horn (sliced thin) Rhinoceros Horn (sliced thin) Evodia Fruit (washed with water, dried, roasted, 1 fen each) Notopterygium Root (remove radicle) Angelica Pubescens Root (remove radicle, 0.5 liang each) Ephedra Stem (remove root joints, boil, skim foam, dry) Black Snake (soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted) Vitex Fruit (remove white skin) Angelica Sinensis Root (cut, dried) Tribulus Fruit (roasted, remove spines, 0.5 liang each).
The above fourteen ingredients are crushed, sifted into powder. Take one qian bi per dose, on an empty stomach before meals, mixed with warm wine.
For severe leprosy, if eye meridians are severed, finger joints fall off, sores appear on feet, and voice is hoarse, it is incurable. If these symptoms have not yet appeared, Wushe Wan (Black Snake Pill) is suitable:

The above twenty-eight ingredients are crushed, sifted into powder, refined honey pills the size of adzuki beans. Take ten to fifteen pills on an empty stomach with warm wine, twice daily. Non-drinkers may use Mint and Sophora White Bark Decoction. For rapid recovery, use the following decoction adjunctively.
Decoction of Mulberry Branches (Sang Zhi Tang) as an adjunct for severe leprosy:
Mulberry Branch Willow Branch Sophora Branch Lycium Root Bark Vitex Agnus-Castus Root Antelope Horn (sliced thin, 1 liang each).
The above six ingredients are used raw, chopped like hemp seeds. Take five qian bi of medicine, add one and a half cups of water, decoct to seven-tenths, strain, and add the previously mentioned pills. After one month of taking this, one will inevitably feel unbearable itching and pain in the limbs and skin. At this time, only drink wine and sleep; do not scratch. Eat frequently, avoid external wind. If sweating occurs, colors and forms will be indeterminate, but after itching, carefully observe; if discharged via urine or diarrhea, it is highly effective. Once the disease recedes slightly, abstain from sexual intercourse for life, avoid wind-aggravating foods, bathe frequently with Sophora Root Decoction, change into new clothes, and burn old clothes and bedding.
Formula for Heilong Dan (Black Dragon Pellet) to treat severe leprosy:

Of the thirty-three ingredients, except for the nineteen from Arisaema downwards which are crushed and sifted into powder, the fourteen from Sulphur downwards are processed in a ceramic jar sealed with Liu Yi Ni (a specific clay mixture) and dried by fire. First, spread half of the powder of Taiyin Xuanjing Stone to Chinese Lead White (six ingredients) at the bottom. Then add the eight ingredients from Sulphur to Gold Leaf in the middle. Finally, cover with the remaining powder of Taiyin Xuanjing Stone etc. Add twenty sheets of gold leaf on top. Seal tightly with Liu Yi Ni, leaving a half-cun opening. Remove the pill jar, seal the cracks, add three jin of charcoal, same distance, for another three shi. At dawn on the full day, use five jin of charcoal, surrounding the jar, burn until red hot. Stop fire after one meal time. Cover with ash, then wet earth. Next dawn, take out the medicine, grind finely. Wrap in damp heavy silk, bury in clean fresh wet earth for three shi. Sprinkle water three times day and night, cover with a large basin. Wait until fire toxicity dissipates. Store in a double-layered silk bag. Boil in silver/copper vessel with two dou of water and one jin of Licorice Root (powdered), hanging the bag without touching the bottom, decoct for one fu (12 hours). Take out, dry, grind to powder, mix evenly with the nineteen herbal powders. Form pills with steamed jujube flesh, size of cherries. Take one pill per dose, ground down with three he of wine infused with Sophora Root and Coptis Rhizome. Treats all toxic winds. For bean-leaking wine, take half a pill, twice daily, once at night. The licorice water used for boiling can wash sores, tinea, and wind-heat toxins. For paralysis, opisthotonos, body Bi syndrome, generalized itching, wandering pain, traumatic wounds, etc., cover after taking to induce sweating. If swelling persists, use Birch Bark Ash Wine. For convulsions, decoct Silver and Gold Water. For intestinal wind bleeding, decoct Schizonepeta. For infantile tetanus, decoct Mint. To counteract wine, grind one pill, divide into five doses. For infantile night crying and palpitations, grind Cinnabar with water, take one pill divided into eight doses. Still, put half a pill in a red bag, left arm for males, right for females, tied on. Tang Xin Lu records: An old man from Tiantai gave this formula to Daoist Jin Xian, presented to Emperor Ming. It was transmitted in the world during the Xiantong era.
Formula for Shenxiao Sangliu Jianwan (Divine Effect Mulberry and Willow Decoction Pills) for severe leprosy:
East-growing Mulberry Branch (harvested in December) East-growing Willow Branch (harvested in January, 2 jin each) Dried Sophora Flower Bud (harvested in October, 1 jin, chopped like bean grains).
The above three ingredients are soaked in two dou of boy's urine for two days in spring/autumn/summer, seven days in winter. Decoct with five dou of running water and two dou of spring water until one dou remains. Strain juice, decoct again to five sheng. Add five he of white honey, decoct to thick syrup. Store in ceramic box, take after one night. Dry the residue in shade, store in熟 silk bag. Take two liang each of Peach Kernel and Evodia Fruit (raw), mix with three and a half liang of herb residue, stir-fry in pot until yellow while hot. Put in ceramic bottle, seal tightly with heavy paper for one fu. Discard kernel and fruit. Use only three liang of residue. Add three liang each of Silkworm Frass, Dried Mulberry Leaf, Epimedium, Achyranthes Root, Saposhnikovia Root. Crush, sift into powder, refine honey into pills size of paulownia seeds. Take three to five qian bi of the previous decoction, dissolve with five he of hot wine, take twenty pills. Doses: empty stomach before meals, night before bed. Adding Red Snow or calcined Glauber Salt is better.
Formula for Milue San (Elk Horn Powder) for severe leprosy with slippery essence discharge:
Elk Horn (half jin, first decoct two dou of mulberry branch ash with water to get three dou of liquid, cut elk horn, slow-cook in ash liquid until dry, take four liang) Aloe Vera Arrowhead Gentian Scorpion Tail (wine roast) Musk (ground) Aconite Child (processed, skin and umbilicus removed, 0.5 liang each) Dried Ginger (processed, 1 fen).
The above seven ingredients are crushed and ground into powder. Take five qian bi per dose, mix with seven qian bi of good aged tea powder. For patients with undamaged nasal bridge, unchanged voice, and slippery essence, take one qian bi of powder, brew with Schizonepeta and Mint like tea, drink hot. If feeling strong medicinal force, add a little salt.
Symptoms of severe wind disease: limbs cannot move or turn over, pain between eyebrows, heavy body, stiff brain, tendon spasms preventing walking, intermittent chills and fever, feet feeling like pierced by awls/knives. Caused by drinking and sleeping exposed to wind-dampness, rising from below, causing abdominal and back stiffness and Bi syndrome, deficiency of Ying and Wei Qi, weakness of essence and Qi, blood vessel obstruction, fear and unhappiness, cold and dampness under scrotum. Formula for Shihu San (Dendrobium Powder):
Dendrobium Stem (remove roots, 2.5 liang) Dioscorea Hypoglauca Rhizome (roasted) Biota Seed (3 fen each) Aconite Child (processed, skin and umbilicus removed, 1 liang) Ranunculus Bulb (roast) Eucommia Bark (remove coarse skin, roast) Alisma Rhizome Achyranthes Root (remove sprouts, soak in wine, cut, dry) Peony Root Mica Windproof Cornus Fruit Asarum (3 fen each).
The above fifteen ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder. Take one to two qian bi per dose, on empty stomach before meals, with warm wine.
Formula for Tianma Wan (Gastrodia Pill) for severe leprosy:
Gastrodia Rhizome Poria (remove black skin, 2 liang each) Typhonium Rhizome (processed, 1.5 liang) Angelica Dahurica Rhizome Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (2 liang each) Aconite Child (processed) Scorpion (roast) Platycodon Root (roast) Musk (ground, 0.5 liang).
The above sixteen ingredients, except those separately ground, are crushed and sifted into powder. Mix ground ingredients, refine honey into pills size of paulownia seeds. Take seven to ten pills per dose, with warm wine. Doses: empty stomach, noon, before bed. To induce sweating for all winds, take with fried bean-leaking wine, cover with thick clothes.
Formula for Huangqi Wan (Astragalus Pill) for severe leprosy with facial sores, night sweats, abdominal pain:
Astragalus Root (chopped) Windproof Salvia Root Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome Poria (remove black skin) Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome Bitter Orange (remove pulp, wheat bran roast) Tangerine Peel (remove black heart) Bupleurum Root (remove sprouts).
The above sixteen ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder, refine honey into pills size of paulownia seeds. Take twenty pills per dose, empty stomach, midnight, before bed, with warm water.
Formula for Baijiangcan Wan (White Silkworm Pill) for severe leprosy:

The above eleven ingredients, except the five burned to ash, are crushed and sifted into powder, mixed evenly. Form pills with Black Snake eggs, size of paulownia seeds. Take twenty pills per dose, with wine on empty stomach. Without snake eggs, use Black Snake meat powder, decoct with wine to paste, form pills.
Formula for Wuma Zi Wan (Black Sesame Pill) for severe leprosy:
Black Sesame (one dou, nine steamings, nine sun-dryings, separately crushed) Gastrodia Rhizome (remove sprouts, 2 liang) Clove Frankincense (separately ground, 1 liang each) Sappanwood Yellow Indigo Woody Plant (5 liang each; chop Yellow Indigo finely, soak in one dou of fresh water in ceramic jar for two seven-day periods, filter out, dry; keep soaking water).
The above six ingredients are crushed and ground into powder, mixed well. Wash one sheng of red millet cleanly, cook with soaking water into thick porridge. Grind paste, beat thoroughly, form pills size of paulownia seeds. Take twenty to thirty pills per dose, after meals with sour water, twice daily, once at night.
Formula for Huanji Jian (Flesh Restoring Decoction) for severe leprosy with ear/nasal collapse:

Sophora Root (dig up end of September, remove black skin, dry, use one jin of powder) Bitter Orange (remove pulp, wheat bran roast, 6 liang).
The above two ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder, refine honey into pills size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills per dose. For cold cases, take with warm wine; others with millet drink or light sour water, after meals, twice daily, once at night. If Sophora root skin is thin, use with skin, chop finely, extract powder, discard residue.
Formula for Huma Xuji San (Sesame Flesh-Repairing Powder) for severe leprosy:
Sesame Seed (half sheng) Gastrodia Rhizome (2 liang) Frankincense (three parts, separately ground).
The above three ingredients, crush sesame and gastrodia into fine powder, mix with frankincense. Take two qian bi per dose, mixed with Schizonepeta and aged tea. Abstain from sex, salt, and wine for one hundred days. After half a month of medication, moxa seventy-two cones (two seven-zhuang) on both waist eyes. Then regularly take tonic medicines.

The above two ingredients are crushed and sifted into powder. Decoct strongly according to amount, wash sores. Take Shenhu Wan daily. Sores dry in ten days, beard and eyebrows grow in half a month. If blind due to leprosy, after disease recedes, take Qianjin San (Thousand Gold Powder).
Formula for Qianjin San (Thousand Gold Powder) for severe leprosy:
Gleditsia Spine (burn to ash) Rhubarb (nine steamings, nine sun-dryings).

Toothache
Formula for Heidou (Black Bean) for severe leprosy:

Chop Aconite and Tianxiong like bean grains. Decoct in two dou of water with slow fire to seven sheng. Strain, soak two sheng of black beans for one fu. Drain, dry. Repeat soaking and drying until juice penetrates completely. Dry. Take three to seven beans per dose, on empty stomach before meals, with wine, twice daily.
Lips and Mouth
Formula for Aihao Wenjiu (Mugwort Warm Wine) for severe leprosy with sores on body/face and foul discharge:
White Mugwort (ten bundles, each like a sheng, clean, wash, chop finely).
Decoct one ingredient to strong juice, mix with yeast rice, ferment normally. When ready, remove dregs, take clear wine. Drink slowly to maintain slight intoxication.
Formula for Tianmendong Wan (Asparagus Pill) for severe leprosy:
Asparagus Root (remove heart, raw, five dou, crush, squeeze juice).

Formula for Shenxiao Fang (Divine Effect Prescription) for severe wind disease with collapsed nose:
Castor Seed (remove shell, cut in half) Coptis Rhizome (remove threads, chop, 5 liang each).
Soak both in water for seven nights. On empty stomach, noon, before bed, swallow one castor seed piece with soaking water. Refill water as needed, do not let dry.
Formula for Shengxiao San Linxie Fang (Divine Effect Powder Washing) for severe leprosy:

Twelve ingredients, crush, place in jar, fire with ten jin of charcoal until exhausted. Take out, grind to powder, make pills with vinegar and flour paste, size of small beans. Take fifteen pills per dose, followed by tonic medicine.
Tonic Medicine Fuling San (Poria Powder):
Poria (remove black skin) Ginseng Gastrodia Sprout Costus Root Lycium Root Dogspine (remove hair) Gastrodia Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome Curcuma Phyllanthus Seeds (also known as Huohuo Grass) Celosia Seed Sea Tong Pi (1 liang each, chopped).
Twelve ingredients used raw, crushed and sifted into powder. Take two qian bi per dose, mixed with White Flower Snake wine, followed by previous pills. Three times daily. Avoid chicken, pork, fish, garlic for one hundred days. Great effect expected.
