Commentary states: In children, due to the dysfunction of Qi ascending and descending, stagnation in the diaphragm and epigastrium causes milk and fluids to fail to digest. These flow into the stomach and overflow upwards along with the rebellious Qi, resulting in excessive salivation (Xian). The manifestations include chest tightness, shortness of breath, and slow digestion of food. The *Neijing* states that the Spleen manifests as saliva; therefore, one should regulate the Spleen and Stomach to restore the normal ascending and descending of Qi, at which point the disease will be cured.
