Commentary states: The condition of aversion to wind (E Feng) is caused by the malignant qi of the five winds. Wind manifests in five colors: green, white, red, black, and yellow. If this toxic qi invades the five Zang organs, it generates parasites. There are also five types of parasites that multiply and spread, penetrating into the bone marrow. This causes internal damage to the five Zang organs, which corresponds externally to changes in physical appearance. Therefore, if the liver is affected, eyebrows and eyelashes fall out; if the lungs are affected, the nasal bridge collapses; if the spleen is affected, the voice becomes scattered; if the kidneys are affected, tinnitus sounds like thunder or drums; if the heart is affected, one cannot eat; if the heart itself is severely affected, it is incurable. Hence, it is called aversion to wind.
