论曰，手阳明支脉，入于齿，足阳明之脉，又遍于齿，为骨之所终，髓之所养，若经脉
虚，风邪乘之，血气损少，不能荣润，故令动摇也。
治牙齿动摇疼痛。蜀椒散方
蜀椒（二十粒） 枳根皮 莽草 细辛 菖蒲 牛膝（以上各一两）
上六味，捣罗为散，以水四升，煮取二升，去滓细细含之，以瘥为度。
又方
芎 （二两） 细辛（一两） 薏苡仁（二两） 地骨皮（一两） 防风（一两去芦头）
柳枝（

上六味，捣筛为散，每用半两，水二大盏，煎至一盏，去滓热含冷吐。

早晨临卧，揩牙动处，须臾温水漱口。
治牙齿疼，动摇，作臭血出。石菖蒲散方

治齿动摇。地黄丸方

上五味，先煎生地黄汁，捣诸药末，用好酒一斗，别煎至三升，去滓入煎下地黄汁，同
再煎入白蜜一斤，酥少许，煎候可丸即成，丸如小豆大，每服酒下二十丸，一日三服，渐加
至五服。

草乌头（三两烧令赤地上用碗合定良久取出） 硼砂（研半两）
上二味，捣罗研细，每用一钱匕，沸汤点，先渫牙，后用药少许，揩牙齿动摇处，日三
五度。
治齿动摇欲堕方
上取生地黄肥者细切，以绵裹如弹丸大，于所患齿处嚼之，咽汁尽，即更用，日三度。
又方
上以皂荚不 者，不计多少，烧存性，捣罗为末，代齿药揩之。
又方
上以皂荚不限多少，烧作黑灰色便研，然后以地黄汁和，如鸡子大，又烧令通赤，捣罗

熟铜（末细研二两半） 当归（切焙三分） 地骨皮 细辛（去苗叶） 防风（去叉各

上五味，捣研为细末，再同研如粉，齿才落时，热粘齿槽中，贴药齿上，五日即定，一
月内，不得咬硬物。
论述说，手阳明经的支脉，进入牙齿；足阳明经的经脉，又遍布牙齿。牙齿是骨骼的终点，由骨髓滋养。如果经脉虚弱，风邪趁机侵袭，导致气血亏损减少，不能濡润滋养牙齿，所以会导致牙齿动摇。

以上两味药，细锉，在铫中炒至黄色，放入大豆一升，和柳皮一起再炒，等到爆裂声停止，盛放在瓷器中，用好酒五升浸泡，经过一夜，温一大盏，热时含漱，冷后吐出，以病愈为度。

苍耳子（三合） 李根白皮（三两）
以上两味药，锉碎，每次用一两，用水煎煮，热时含漱，冷后吐出。
治疗齿风引起的牙齿动摇。捍齿劳牙方
丹砂（单独研细一两） 青矾（单独研细半两） 白矾（单独研细半两） 防风（去叉梢半两） 马牙硝（单独研细半两） 蜡（一两） 麻油（三两） 松节（锉碎半两） 当归（切后焙干一两） 细辛（去苗叶半两） 松脂（二两）
以上十三味药，除了脂、蜡、油之外，其余都细锉，先在铛中煎炼脂，滤去药渣，接着下油，煎煮三两沸，随后下入锉好的药，煎煮十余沸，用棉布过滤，去渣后再下蜡，以及单独研细的药，用慢火熬制成膏，盛放在瓷盒中，每次用少许，涂敷患处即愈。
治疗牙齿松动，进食不稳。地骨皮散方
地骨白皮（微炒一两） 当归（切后焙干三分） 升麻（半两） 桂（去粗皮一分） 甘草（炙至黄赤色半两） 川芎（三分） 紫矿（炙半两） 寒水石（二两半） 莨菪子（炒香熟半两）
以上九味药，捣碎过筛制成散剂，每次用一钱匕，涂在齿根下，严重的用棉包裹如弹子大，每天吞服三丸，想要口中含化，也很好。
治疗齿根暴露，摇动疼痛，适宜含漱的防风汤方
防风（一两） 蔓荆子（一两） 细辛（半两） 川升麻（半两） 地骨皮（半两） 赤茯苓（半两） 川芎（一两）
以上七味药，都细锉混合均匀，每次用半两，用水一大盏，酒一盏，同煎至一盏，滤去药渣，热时含漱并作用于患处，很久变冷后吐出，含尽为止，每天两次，用完这一剂，即可痊愈。
又一方
莽草（不限多少）
以上一味药，捣碎过筛成末，用棉包裹塞入孔洞中，或者在痛处咬住，低头吐津液，不要咽下，疼痛就会停止。
治疗牙齿动摇，牙根腐烂肉烂。细辛散方
细辛（去苗） 川升麻（一两） 地骨皮 角蒿（各三两） 牛膝（三两，去苗） 生地黄（五两）
以上六味药制成末，先用荆芥盐汤漱口良久，揩擦疼痛处使其发热为度，有涎液则吐出，每天早晨和晚上睡觉前使用。
治疗牙齿动摇，解除骨槽毒瓦斯，使牙齿坚固牢靠。麝脐散方
麝脐（十个无香的，皮子细切） 木律（四两） 郁李仁（二两） 牛膝（去芦头细切一斤） 黄茄子（秋季成熟出子的二枚，切细）
以上五味药，放入铁臼内，捣令粘着，握成团，放入罐子内，上面用瓦片盖住口，留一个小窍，用盐泥密封固定，烧至通红，等到烟变成白色，就取出去火，用新土覆盖一个时辰，取出后加入麝香一钱，再一同研细，每天早晨和临睡前，揩擦牙齿动摇处，一会儿后用温水漱口。
治疗牙齿疼，动摇，流出臭血。石菖蒲散方
石菖蒲 棘针（烧成灰） 细辛（去苗叶各半两） 干姜（炮裂） 鸡舌香（各一分）
以上五味药，捣碎过筛制成散剂，用棉包裹一钱匕，贴在牙龈上，有涎液则吐出。
治疗牙齿动摇。地黄丸方
生地黄（五斤，粗者取汁） 山芋（四两） 人参（四两） 枸杞根（三两，粗大者） 白茯苓（去黑皮四两）
以上五味药，先煎生地黄汁，将其他药物捣成末，用好酒一斗，另外煎至三升，滤去药渣，倒入煎好的地黄汁，一同再煎，加入白蜜一斤，少许酥，煎到可以做成丸子即成，丸如小豆大，每次用酒送服二十丸，一天三次，逐渐增加到五次。
治疗牙齿动摇疼痛，以及骨槽风。草乌头散方
草乌头（实大的一两，分作三份，一份烧存性，两份烧至黑色为度） 青盐（半两） 细辛（去苗叶半两） 地龙（去土一分）
以上四味药，捣碎过筛制成散剂，早晚像用齿药一样，揩擦牙齿动摇处。
治疗风邪冲击牙齿摇动。川芎汤方
川芎（锉一两半） 防风（去叉梢一两） 薏苡仁（一两） 细辛（去苗叶半两）
以上四味药，粗捣筛，每次用五钱匕，用水三盏，煎一二十沸，滤去药渣，热时含漱，冷后吐出，咽下津液无妨。
治疗牙齿动摇。黑圣散方
草乌头（三两，烧令赤红，在地上用碗扣住，很久后取出） 硼砂（研细半两）
以上两味药，捣碎过筛研细，每次用一钱匕，用沸水点化，先清洁牙齿，然后用药少许，揩擦牙齿动摇处，每天三五次。
治疗牙齿动摇欲脱落方
以上取肥大的生地黄细切，用棉包裹如弹丸大，在患齿处嚼之，咽尽汁液，然后再用，每天三次。
又一方
以上用不破裂的皂荚，不限多少，烧存性，捣碎过筛成末，代替齿药揩擦。
又一方
以上用皂荚不限多少，烧成黑灰色便研，然后用地黄汁调和，如鸡蛋大，再烧至通红，捣碎过筛后，又以地黄汁调和，再烧，如此重复三遍，捣碎过筛成散剂，贴于齿痛处神效。
治疗牙齿动摇，乌黑胡须明目，牢固牙齿方
黑铅（半斤，在大锅内熔成汁，随即加入桑条灰，用柳木锤研成沙状）
以上一味药，用熟绢罗筛成末，每天早晨像平常一样揩牙，之后用温水漱在盂子内，再用其水洗眼，也治疗各种眼疾，胡须黄白的用此法，都会变黑。
治疗齿风摇动，或食物损伤。捍齿膏方

以上五味药，捣研成细末，再同研如粉，牙齿刚脱落时，趁热粘在齿槽中，贴上药在牙齿上，五天即定，一个月内，不得咬硬物。
Discussion states that the branch meridian of Hand-Yangming enters the teeth, and the meridian of Foot-Yangming covers the teeth extensively. The teeth are the termination of bones and are nourished by marrow. If the meridians are deficient, wind pathogen takes advantage to invade, causing damage and reduction of blood and qi, which fail to moisten and nourish, thus leading to tooth mobility.
For treating tooth mobility and pain. Shujiao San (Sichuan Pepper Powder) Formula
Shujiao (Sichuan Pepper, Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) (20 grains), Zhigenpi (Acanthopanacis Radicis Cortex), Mangcao (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Changpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (each above is one liang).
The above six herbs are crushed, sifted into powder. Boil with four sheng of water until two sheng remain, remove dregs, hold in mouth slowly, stop when cured.
Another prescription
Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (one liang), Yiyiren (Coicis Semen), Digupi (Phellodendri Cortex), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (one liang, remove rhizome head), Liuzhi (Salicis Ramulus) (one liang, chopped).
The above six herbs are crushed and sifted into powder. Use half a liang each time, boil with two large zhan of water until one zhan remains, remove dregs, hold hot in mouth, spit out when cold.
For treating tooth mobility and pain, gingival recession, inability to bite objects, use this. Xixin San (Asari Powder) Formula
Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (two liang), Liuzhipi (Salicis Cortex) (four liang).
The above two herbs are finely chopped, stir-fried in a yao vessel until yellow. Add one sheng of soybeans, stir-fry together with willow bark until popping sounds cease. Store in porcelain vessel. Soak in five sheng of good wine overnight. Warm one zhan, hold hot in mouth, spit out when cold, stop when cured.
Another prescription
Cangerzi (Xanthii Fructus) (three he), Ligenbaitu (Pruni Mume Cortex Albus) (three liang).
The above two herbs are chopped. Use one liang each time, decoct with water, hold hot in mouth, spit out when cold.
For treating wind-tooth mobility. Hanchi Laoya (Protecting Teeth and Strengthening Gums) Formula
Dansha (Cinnabaris), Qingfan (Vitriolum Ferrosum), Baifan (Alumen), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (remove forked tips, half liang), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallinus), La (Cera Flava) (one liang), Mayou (Sesami Oleum) (three liang), Songjie (Pinus Massoniana Caulis), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (cut and dried, one liang), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (remove seedlings and leaves, half liang), Songzhi (Pini Resina) (two liang).
Thirteen ingredients. Except for resins, wax, and oil, all are finely chopped. First melt resin in a pan, filter dregs. Then add oil, boil three times vigorously. Add chopped herbs, boil ten-plus times. Filter through cotton, remove dregs. Add wax and separately ground herbs. Slowly cook into ointment. Store in porcelain box. Apply small amount to affected area for cure.
For treating loose teeth and unstable chewing. Digupi San (Phellodendri Cortex Powder) Formula
Digoubaitu (Phellodendri Cortex Albus) (lightly fried, one liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (cut and dried, three qian), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (half liang), Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) (remove rough bark, one fen), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (roasted to yellow-red, half liang), Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (three qian), Zijuan (Dragon's Blood), Hanshuishi (Natrii Sulfatis Mineralis), Langdangzi (Daturae Semen) (fried fragrant, half liang).
Nine ingredients. Crush and sift into powder. Use one qian bi per application, apply to tooth root. For severe cases, wrap in cotton like a bullet size, swallow three pills daily. Holding in mouth to dissolve is also excellent.
For treating exposed tooth roots, mobility and pain, suitable for holding. Fangfeng Tang (Saposhnikoviae Decoction) Formula
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (one liang), Manjingzi (Viticis Semen), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (half liang), Chuanshengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (half liang), Digupi (Phellodendri Cortex) (half liang), Chi Fuling (Poria cum Ligno Rubrum) (half liang), Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (one liang).
Seven ingredients. Finely chop and mix evenly. Use half a liang each time. Decoct with one large zhan of water and one zhan of wine until one zhan remains. Remove dregs. Hold hot on affected area. Spit out when cold. Continue until finished. Twice daily. One dose cures permanently.
Another prescription
Mangcao (Artemisiae Argyi Folium) (any amount).
One ingredient. Crush and sift into powder. Wrap in cotton, insert into cavity or bite at painful spot. Lower head to spit saliva, do not swallow. Pain stops.
For treating tooth mobility, root rot and flesh decay. Xixin San (Asari Powder) Formula
Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (remove seedlings), Chuanshengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (one liang), Digupi (Phellodendri Cortex), Jiaohao (Agrimoniae Herba) (each three liang), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (three liang, remove seedlings), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) (five liang).
Six ingredients. Make into powder. First rinse mouth with Schizonepeta salt water for a long time. Rub painful area until hot. Spit saliva. Use morning and night before bed.
For treating tooth mobility, resolving bone trough toxic gas, making teeth firm. Sheqi San (Moschus Umbilicus Powder) Formula
Sheqi (Moschi Uterus) (ten odorless ones, skin finely cut), Mulu (Stemonae Radix) (four liang), Yuliren (Pruni Semen), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (remove rhizome head, finely cut, one jin), Huangqiezi (Solanis Melongena) (autumn ripe with seeds, two pieces, finely cut).
Five ingredients. Pound in iron mortar until sticky. Form into balls. Put in jar, cover with tile leaving a small hole. Seal with salt mud. Fire until red hot. When smoke turns white, remove fire. Cover with new earth for one shichen. Take out, add one qian of Moschus. Grind fine. Morning and night, rub mobile teeth. Rinse with warm water shortly after.
For treating toothache, mobility, foul blood discharge. Shichangpu San (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma Powder) Formula
Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Jinzhen (Rhamni Spina) (burnt to ash), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (remove seedlings and leaves, half liang each), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) (roasted cracked), Jishexiang (Cardamomi Semen) (each one fen).
Five ingredients. Crush and sift into powder. Wrap one qian bi in cotton, paste on gums. Spit saliva if present.
For treating tooth mobility. Dihuang Wan (Rehmannia Pill) Formula
Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) (five jin, coarse ones for juice), Shanyu (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) (four liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix) (four liang), Gouqigen (Lycii Radicis Cortex) (three liang, coarse), Baifuling (Poria) (remove black skin, four liang).
Five ingredients. First decoct Shengdihuang juice. Grind other herbs to powder. Decoct in one dou of good wine until three sheng remain. Remove dregs. Add Shengdihuang juice. Decoct again. Add one jin of white honey and a little su. Cook until pillable. Size of small beans. Take twenty pills with wine, three times daily. Gradually increase to five doses.
For treating tooth mobility pain and bone trough wind. Caowutou San (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix Powder) Formula
Caowutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix) (large one liang, divide into three parts: one part burnt to retain nature, two parts burnt to blackness), Qingyan (Natrii Chloridum), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (remove seedlings and leaves, half liang), Dilong (Pheretima) (remove soil, one fen).
Four ingredients. Crush and sift into powder. Morning and night, use as tooth powder to rub mobile teeth.
For treating wind attacking teeth causing mobility. Xiongtang (Ligustici Decoction) Formula
Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (chopped one and a half liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (remove forked tips, one liang), Yiyiren (Coicis Semen) (one liang), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (remove seedlings and leaves, half liang).
Four ingredients. Coarsely crush and sieve. Use five qian bi each time. Decoct with three zhan of water for ten to twenty boils. Remove dregs. Hold hot, spit cold. Swallowing saliva is acceptable.
For treating tooth mobility. Heisheng San (Black Holy Powder) Formula

Two ingredients. Crush, sift and grind fine. Use one qian bi each time. Mix with boiling water. Clean teeth first. Apply small amount to rub mobile teeth. Three to five times daily.

Take fat Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), finely cut. Wrap in cotton like a bullet. Chew at affected tooth. Swallow juice completely. Repeat. Three times daily.

Use Zaojiao (Gleditsiae Fructus), any amount. Burn to black-grey and grind. Mix with Dihuang juice into egg-sized ball. Burn red hot. Grind and sift. Mix with Dihuang juice again. Burn again. Repeat three times. Grind and sift into powder. Paste on painful teeth for miraculous effect.
For treating tooth mobility, darkening beard, brightening eyes, strengthening teeth. Qian (Lead) Formula
Qian (Lithargyrum/Lead) (half jin, melt in large pot, add Sangtiaohui (Mulberry Twig Ash), grind with Liumu chui (Willow Wood Hammer) into sand).
One ingredient. Sieve through cooked silk. Every morning, rub teeth as usual. Rinse with warm water into basin. Use this water to wash eyes. Also treats various eye diseases. Yellow or white beards turn black.
For treating wind-tooth mobility or food injury. Hanchi Gao (Protecting Teeth Ointment) Formula
Layezhizhi (Porcine Fat from December) (two liang), Dansha (Cinnabaris), Qingfan (Vitriolum Ferrosum), Lüfan (Vitriolum Viride), Baifan (Alumen) (boiled dry), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallinus), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (remove seedlings and leaves, one liang one fen each), La (Cera Flava) (one liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (chopped and dried, one liang), Zhimayou (Sesami Oleum) (three liang), Songzhi (Pini Resina) (two liang), Huangqi (Astragali Radix) (finely chopped one liang three fen).
Thirteen ingredients. Crush and sift into fine powder. Boil oil first. Add porcine fat and wax. Then add herbs. Boil like fish eyes. Lift up and down three times. Store in porcelain. Rub teeth as needed. Best made on Laba day.
For treating tooth mobility, gingival recession, foul breath, inability to eat. Jici San (Tribulus Powder) Formula
Jici (Tribuli Spina) (fried), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (chopped and dried), Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) (roasted), Changpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Shacaogen (Cyperi Rhizoma) (roasted), Jishexiang (Cardamomi Semen), Qingmuxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) (ground), Hutonglei (Commiphora Myrrha Resina) (equal parts).
Ten ingredients. Crush and sift into fine powder. Wrap half a qian bi in cotton. Paste on teeth.
For treating toothache, wind caries,虫 erosion, protruding and falling. Fanshi San (Alumen Powder) Formula
Baifan (Alumen) (boiled dry), Lilu (Veratri Radix) (remove rhizome head), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Shujiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) (remove eyes and closed ones, fry until sweat comes out), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) (roasted), Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus) (lightly fried), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (roasted and chopped), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) (roasted, peel and navel removed).
Ten ingredients equal parts. Crush and sift into fine powder. Mix with warm wine, three qian bi. Rinse hot, spit cold. Do not swallow saliva. Two to three times daily.

Shutong (Cuprum) (fine powder two and a half liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (cut and dried, three qian), Digupi (Phellodendri Cortex), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (remove forked tips, half liang each).
Five ingredients. Crush and grind to fine powder, then grind like flour. When tooth just falls out, apply hot to gum socket. Paste medicine on tooth. Stabilizes in five days. Do not bite hard objects within one month.
