论曰∶痈疽已溃，久而良肉不生者，由气血未平，恶肉有以害之也。恶肉虽得于风气外
搏，亦以余毒未尽，故死肌败坏，侵蚀良肉，治宜以药蚀去之。
治发背痈疽，及诸恶疮生恶肉。麝香膏方
麝香（研） 雄黄（研） 真珠（研各一两） 猪脂（量用）
上四味研匀，猪脂调如糊，涂敷恶肉上，日再。
治痈疽诸疮恶肉。藜芦散方
藜芦（去芦头） 茹（各半两） 马齿矾（研） 石硫黄（研） 雄黄（研） 麝香
（研各三分）
上六味，除研者外，捣罗为散，再和匀，每用少许敷疮，日三五次，以恶肉尽为度。
治痈疽疮。大黄蚀肉膏方

黄芩（去黑心） 茹（各一两） 猪脂（二斤）
上十二味，除研者并猪脂外，锉碎，先熬脂令沸，下诸药，煎候赤黑色，绵滤去滓，下
研者药搅匀，倾出瓷器盛，每日涂疮，日三五次，以恶肉尽为度。
治发背痈疽，及恶疮，不生肌，肉败坏，其色黑，蚀恶肉。白矾散方

羊髓（一两） 甘草 胡粉（各二两） 大黄（一两半） 猪脂（一斤）
上五味，除羊髓猪脂胡粉外，锉碎，先熬羊髓猪脂令沸，下甘草大黄，煎令赤黑色，绵
滤去滓，下胡粉搅令匀，瓷合盛，每用涂敷疮，日三四次。
治痈疽败坏生肉。莽草膏方

以上六味药，除了需要研细的以外，捣碎过筛成为散剂，再混合均匀，每次取少许敷在疮口上，每天三到五次，以恶肉完全脱落为度。
治疗痈疽疮疡。大黄蚀肉膏方

以上五味药，除了羊髓、猪脂、胡粉以外，切碎，先熬羊髓和猪脂使其沸腾，放入甘草和大黄，煎煮至呈赤黑色，用绵布过滤去掉药渣，加入胡粉搅匀，用瓷盒盛放，每次取少许涂抹敷在疮口上，每天三到四次。
治疗痈疽败坏后长出新肉。莽草膏方

以上十二味药，切碎，用腊月猪脂煎制成膏，敷在疮口上立刻痊愈。

以上四味药，捣碎研细过筛成为粉末，用猪蹄煎制的膏，调成泥状敷在上面，以恶肉完全脱落为止。
Discussion states: When a carbuncle or ulcer (Yong Ju, 痈疽) has ulcerated but healthy flesh fails to regenerate over a long period, it is due to the imbalance of Qi and Blood (Qi Xue, 气血), with necrotic tissue (E Rou, 恶肉) obstructing the process. Although necrotic tissue arises from external invasion by Wind and Cold pathogens, it is also caused by residual toxins that have not yet cleared, leading to the decay of dead muscle and the erosion of healthy flesh. The treatment should employ medicinal agents to cauterize and remove the necrotic tissue.
Formula for Musk Ointment (Shexiang Gao, 麝香膏) to treat back carbuncles/ulcers and various malignant sores producing necrotic tissue.

Formula for Cuscuta Powder (Lilu San, 藜芦散) to treat necrotic tissue in various sores of carbuncles and ulcers.

Take the above twelve ingredients. Except for the ground ones and pig fat, chop finely. First boil the pig fat until bubbling. Add the herbs. Decoct until the mixture turns reddish-black. Filter through silk cloth to remove dregs. Add the ground medicines and stir evenly. Pour into a porcelain container. Apply to the sore three to five times daily, until all necrotic tissue is removed.
Formula for White Alum Powder (Bai Fan San, 白矾散) to treat back carbuncles/ulcers and malignant sores where new flesh does not grow, muscle decays, color turns black, and necrotic tissue needs corrosion.

Formula for Sheep Marrow Ointment (Yangsui Gao, 羊髓膏) to treat carbuncles and ulcers that decay immediately upon onset, caused by heat toxin generating sores.

Take the above five ingredients. Except for sheep marrow, pig fat, and lead carbonate, chop finely. First boil sheep marrow and pig fat until bubbling. Add licorice root and rhubarb. Decoct until reddish-black. Filter through silk cloth to remove dregs. Add lead carbonate and stir evenly. Store in a porcelain jar. Apply to the sore three to four times daily.

Take the above twelve ingredients, chop them. Decoct in pig fat rendered in the twelfth lunar month to make an ointment. Apply to the sore; healing will occur immediately.
