论曰肾生骨髓，齿者、骨之余，而髓之所养也，足少阴经虚，气血不能荣养骨髓，故因
呼吸风冷，或漱寒水，则令齿痛而不已。
治肾虚齿痛。天雄散方
天雄（炮裂去皮脐） 当归（切焙） 细辛（去苗叶） 附子（炮裂去皮脐） 甘草（炙

以上六味药，捣碎过筛成细末，用炼蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸药，空腹时煎枣汤送服，每次十丸至十五丸。
治疗肾虚导致的牙齿牙龈肿胀，膈上有热。柴胡汤方
柴胡（去苗一两） 枳壳（去掉瓤，麸皮炒） 浓朴（去掉粗皮，用生姜汁炙至烟尽，各三分） 黄连（去须半两）
以上四味药，粗捣筛过，每次取五钱匕，加水二盏，煎煮至一盏，去渣，饭后分两次服用。
治疗肾虚引起的牙齿疼痛。戎盐汤方
戎盐（一分） 地骨皮（一两） 细辛（去苗叶半两） 生地黄（切片焙干一两）
以上四味药，粗捣筛过，每次服五钱匕，加水一盏，煎煮十余沸，去渣，趁热含漱，每天三次。
治疗肾虚气攻导致牙齿出血，牙龈痒痛，刷牙。骨碎补散方
骨碎补（炒至黑色二两）
以上一味药，捣碎过筛成细粉，洗漱后，涂抹在牙根下，停留较长时间后吐出，临睡前再用一次，吞咽口水无妨。
治疗肾虚牙齿疼痛，刷牙使胡须变黑。无食子散方

治疗肾虚牙齿疼痛，刷牙使牙齿、胡须、鬓角变黑，保持容颜。鸡肠草汤方
鸡肠草 白矾（捣碎） 诃黎勒皮 香子（荜澄茄） 旱莲子 晚蚕砂 青盐 茜根 皂荚（各一两） 麻（半两，注：原文此处可能有缺字，结合上下文推测为某种草药或油脂，暂译作“麻”）

以上七味药拌匀，放入干净的沙瓶中，密封并用泥包裹阴干，用七斤炭火，烧尽炭后，将药细研成散剂。每次使用前，先拿一块生姜，嚼烂吐出，用左手手指擦拭三五遍，再点药擦拭十几遍，含住津液不吐，双手取津液涂在胡须头发上，待辛辣感消退后再咽下，兼治脚气和肠风。
治疗肾虚牙齿疼痛，刷牙使胡须变黑。莽草散方
莽草 生姜 干漆 猪牙皂荚 胡麻子（乌麻是也） 生地黄 菟丝子
以上七味药，各四两，切碎如麻豆大小，放入藏瓶中，用盐泥密封，火烤一天后，埋入地下深一尺二寸，埋三天三夜后取出，晾晒三个夜晚，不得受日晒，研罗成细粉，用法如同牙齿药一样刷牙。
治疗肾虚牙齿疼痛。三枝散方
槐枝 柳枝 桑枝（各七两，焙干） 麻（七两，取其中间的一枚） 晚蚕砂（五两） 青盐（三两半）
以上六味药，除了蚕砂和青盐外，切碎如麻豆大小，用盐泥密封在一个罐子里，晒干后，将其他药物放入敞口的罐中，在地坑内，四周用炭火簇拥燃烧，使其通红，吃饭时用柳枝搅拌拨动，烧得均匀，烟尽后去掉炭火。用湿纸三五层盖住罐口，等药冷却后取出，研成散剂，装在瓷盒里，每天刷牙，日久见效良好。

麝香（研细一分） 小豆面（微炒三两） 蜀椒（去掉闭口和目，炒出汗后研成末一两） 青盐（研细一两）

The above nine herbs are pounded, sifted into a fine powder, and applied to the painful teeth. Use three to five times daily. Do not swallow saliva; rinse with water after each application.
Treatment for toothache caused by eating hot or cold foods when the Kidney organ is deficient. Dihuang Pill Formula
Shengdihuang (sliced and dried, one liang) Baifuling (black skin removed) Fangfeng (forked parts removed) Duohuo (radicle removed) Gouqizi Shanyu (each half liang)
The above six herbs are pounded, sifted into a fine powder, and made into pills the size of paulownia seeds using refined honey. Take ten to fifteen pills on an empty stomach with decocted jujube soup.
Treatment for swollen gums and heat above the diaphragm due to Kidney deficiency affecting the teeth. Chaihu Decoction Formula
Chaihu (seedlings removed, one liang) Zhike (pulp removed, stir-fried with bran) Houpo (rough bark removed, stir-fried with ginger juice until smoke ceases, each three qian) Huanglian (fibers removed, half liang)
The above four herbs are coarsely crushed and sieved. For each dose, use five qianbi (measure), add two zhan of water, and decoct to one zhan. Strain and take in two divided doses after meals.
Treatment for toothache due to Kidney deficiency. Rongyan Decoction Formula
Rongyan (one fen) Digupi (one liang) Xixin (seedlings and leaves removed, half liang) Shengdihuang (sliced and dried, one liang)
The above four herbs are coarsely crushed and sieved. For each dose, use five qianbi, add one zhan of water, boil for about ten boils, strain, and use warm for gargling/rinsing three times daily.
Treatment for bleeding gums, itchy and painful gums, and tooth brushing due to Kidney deficiency causing Qi to attack the teeth. Gusui Bu Powder Formula
Gusui Bu (stir-fried until black, two liang)
The above single herb is pounded, sifted into a fine powder. After washing and rinsing, apply to the gum roots. Spit out after a while. Repeat before sleep. Swallowing saliva is permissible.

The above fifteen herbs are chopped like hemp seeds, placed in a porcelain bottle, tightly covered, and sealed with mud. Roast over charcoal until red-hot. Cool, remove, pound, and sift into a fine powder. Spread on wet paper and cover with a basin for one shichen to eliminate fire toxicity. Before use, rinse mouth with Liu Zhi Tang (Willow Branch Decoction), then brush teeth.
Treatment for toothache due to Kidney deficiency, darkening of teeth, beard, and temples, and preserving youth. Jichang Cao Decoction Formula
Jichangcao Baifan (crushed) Helilepi Bichengqie (Xiangzi) Hanlianzi Wancansha Qingyan Qianggen Zaojiao (each one liang) Ma (half liang)
Except for Baifan, Qingyan, Bichengqie, and Wancansha, chop the remaining herbs into half-inch segments. Place in a storage bottle, seal with paper paste and salt mud. Roast with half a sheng of charcoal until exhausted. Cool, grind to powder. Brush teeth three to five times after morning meal and before night rest, then rinse mouth.
Treatment for toothache due to Kidney deficiency, darkening of teeth, beard, and temples. Dihuang Powder Formula
Shengdihuang (submersible, plump, finely sliced and dried, three liang) Shengma (chopped, one liang) Helile (pounded, two fruits) Baiyanhua (half fen) Mamo (first pressing, four he) Sumi Fan (one large he) Dansha (one liang, finely ground; mix with sand cow dung juice when roasting to prevent volatilization)
Mix the above seven ingredients evenly. Store in a clean sand bottle, seal tightly with mud, and dry in shade. Roast with seven jin of charcoal until exhausted. Grind the medicine into a fine powder. Before use, chew a piece of fresh ginger and spit it out. Rub the teeth three to five times with the left hand, then apply the powder and rub ten-plus times. Retain saliva in the mouth, do not spit. Use both hands to collect saliva and apply to beard and hair. Swallow once the pungency subsides. Also treats podagra and intestinal wind.

Mangcao Shengjiang Ganqi Zhu Ya Zaojiao Humazi (black sesame) Shengdihuang Tusizi

Roast for one day, then bury in earth at a depth of one chi two cun for three days and nights. Remove and air-dry for three nights, avoiding direct sunlight. Grind into a fine powder. Except for Wancansha and Qingyan, chop the other herbs like hemp seeds. Seal in a jar with salt mud. After drying, place all herbs in an open-mouthed jar inside a pit. Surround with charcoal fire until red-hot. Stir with a willow branch during cooking to ensure even heating. Remove fire when smoke ceases. Cover the jar mouth with three to five layers of wet paper. Cool, remove medicine, grind into powder, and store in a porcelain box. Brush teeth daily; effective over time.
