It is discussed that diseases of the bone marrow correspond to the Liver and Gallbladder. If there are diseases in the Zang-Fu organs, they all originate from the bone marrow; heat syndromes correspond to the Zang organs, while cold syndromes correspond to the Fu organs. Therefore, those with Bone Marrow Deficiency (Sui Xu) experience headache and mental restlessness, and their bodies often feel cold and tremble. Those with Bone Marrow Excess (Sui Shi) manifest as bodily irritability, courage and ferocity, susceptibility to fright, and heat sensations. Treatment should be based on the specific syndrome.
