味辛，温，无毒。主辟恶气，杀鬼精物，温疟，蛊毒，痫 ，去三虫，疗诸凶邪鬼气，
中恶。心腹暴痛胀急痞满，风毒，妇人产难，堕胎，去面 ，目中肤翳。《药性论》云∶臣。
禁食大蒜。味苦辛。除百邪魅、鬼疰，心痛，小儿惊痫客忤，镇心安神。以当门子一粒，丹
砂相似，细研，熟水灌下。止小便利，能蚀一切痈疮脓。日华子云∶辟邪气，杀鬼毒蛊气，
疟疾，催生，堕胎，杀脏腑虫，制蛇蚕咬。沙虱溪瘴毒，吐风痰。纳子宫，暖水脏，止冷带
疾。出∶中台川谷、益州、雍州、陕西。

牡丹、菖蒲，利耳目。恶∶龙骨、地黄、龙胆、蜚蠊、常山。畏∶牛膝、干漆等。
味甘，微寒、微温，无毒。主风痹不仁筋急，五脏腹中积聚，寒热羸瘦，头疡白秃、面
，食饮吐呕。《药性论》云∶胆∶臣。恶∶防己、地黄。主小儿五疳，杀虫，治恶疮。
熊脂∶君。治面上 及治疮。日华子云∶熊白，凉，无毒。治风，补虚损，杀劳虫。脂，
强心、脑、髓，去白秃，风屑，疗头旋，疳疮，耳鼻疮。
麝香：味辛，性温，无毒。主要功效为驱除恶浊之气，杀灭鬼精邪物，治疗温疟、蛊毒、癫痫，去除体内寄生虫，疗治各种凶险的邪气鬼祟以及中恶之症。能缓解心腹部的突发剧痛、胀满急迫、痞塞满闷，治疗风毒，帮助妇人难产，促进堕胎，去除面部黑斑，治疗眼中肤翳。《药性论》记载：臣药。禁忌食用大蒜。味苦辛。能驱除百种邪魅、鬼疰，治疗心痛、小儿惊痫及客忤，具有镇心安神的作用。取当门子（麝香中心部分）一粒，形状似丹砂，细细研磨，用熟水送服。能止住小便频数，能腐蚀一切痈疮的脓液。日华子说：辟除邪气，杀灭鬼毒蛊气，治疗疟疾，催生，堕胎，杀灭脏腑内的虫子，制约蛇和蚕的咬伤，沙虱及溪涧瘴气中毒，吐出风痰。纳入子宫，温暖水脏，止住冷性带下病。产地：中台川谷、益州、雍州、陕西。
牛黄：味苦，性平，有小毒。主要功效为治疗惊痫、寒热往来、热盛导致的狂躁，驱除邪气逐出鬼祟，疗治小儿各种病症及诸种热性癫痫、口不开，治疗成人狂癫，又能堕胎。《药性论》记载：君药。味甘。能辟除邪魅，安定魂魄，治疗小儿夜啼，主治突然中恶。日华子说：性凉。治疗中风失音、口噤，妇人血闭，惊悸，天行时疫，健忘虚乏。以人参为使药。与牡丹、菖蒲同用，通利耳目。畏忌龙骨、地黄、龙胆、蜚蠊、常山。畏惧牛膝、干漆等。
熊脂：味甘，性微寒、微温，无毒。主要功效为治疗风痹导致的不仁、筋脉拘急，五脏及腹中的积聚，寒热消瘦，头疡白秃、面部黑斑，饮食呕吐。《药性论》记载：熊胆为臣药。畏忌防己、地黄。主治小儿五疳，杀虫，治疗恶疮。熊脂为君药。治疗面部黑斑及治疗疮疡。日华子说：熊白（脂肪），性凉，无毒。治疗风邪，补益虚损，杀灭劳虫。熊脂能强壮心、脑、髓，去除白秃、风屑，治疗头晕、疳疮、耳鼻疮。
Musk (Moschus): Pungent, warm, non-toxic. Primarily dispels evil qi, kills ghostly spirits and malignant substances, treats warm malaria, gu poison, epilepsy, eliminates three types of parasites, cures various ominous evil qi and ghostly afflictions, as well as sudden attack by evil qi. It alleviates sudden severe pain, distension, urgency, and fullness in the heart and abdomen; treats wind toxicity; assists women in difficult labor; induces abortion; removes facial macules; and treats corneal opacities in the eyes. *Yao Xing Lun* states: Minister herb. Contraindicated with garlic. Bitter and pungent. Eliminates hundred types of malevolent spirits and ghostly infections; treats heart pain; pediatric convulsions, epilepsy, and external shock; calms the heart and anchors the spirit. Take one grain of Dangmenzi (central musk gland), resembling Cinnabar, finely ground, and administer with cooked water. Stops frequent urination; can erode pus from all carbuncles and sores. Ri Huazi states: Dispels evil qi, kills ghostly toxins and gu qi, treats malaria, promotes childbirth, induces abortion, kills internal parasites, counteracts snake and insect bites, sandfly and stream miasma poisoning, expels wind-phlegm. Introduced into the uterus, warms the Water Organ (Kidney/Bladder system), stops cold leukorrhea. Origin: Zhongtai Chuangu, Yizhou, Yongzhou, Shaanxi.
Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang): Bitter, neutral, slightly toxic. Primarily treats convulsions and epilepsy, alternating chills and fever, mania due to excessive heat, dispels evil and drives out ghosts, cures pediatric diseases and various heat-type epilepsies, inability to open the mouth, adult manic epilepsy, and also induces abortion. *Yao Xing Lun* states: Sovereign herb. Sweet. Can dispel malevolent spirits, calm the soul and魄 (ethereal soul), treat nocturnal crying in infants, and primarily treat sudden attack by evil qi. Ri Huazi states: Cooling. Treats stroke with aphasia and locked jaw, women's blood obstruction, palpitations, epidemic febrile diseases, forgetfulness, and deficiency-fatigue. Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) acts as its guide. Combined with Moutan Cortex (Mudanpi) and Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), benefits ears and eyes. Clashes with Ossa Femoris (Gulong), Rehmanniae Radix (Dihuang), Gentianae Radix (Longdan), Blatta orientalis (Feilang), and Dichroiae Radix (Changshan). Feared by Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi) and Dried Lacquer (Ganqi), etc.
Bear Gallbladder and Bear Fat (Xiongdan/Xiongzhi): Sweet, slightly cold, slightly warm, non-toxic. Primarily treats wind-bi with numbness and tendon stiffness, accumulations in the five zang organs and abdomen, alternating chills and fever with emaciation, scalp ulcers with alopecia, facial macules, and vomiting after eating or drinking. *Yao Xing Lun* states: Bear Gallbladder is a Minister herb. Clashes with Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix (Fangji) and Rehmanniae Radix (Dihuang). Primarily treats pediatric five types of giardiasis, kills parasites, treats malignant sores. Bear Fat is a Sovereign herb. Treats facial macules and sores. Ri Huazi states: Bear fat (white part), cooling, non-toxic. Treats wind, tonifies deficiency, kills consumption worms. Bear fat strengthens the heart, brain, and marrow, removes alopecia and dandruff, treats vertigo, giardiasis sores, and ear/nose sores.
