At two months of pregnancy, it is called "Shi Gao" (Beginning of Paste). Avoid pungent and fishy foods; the living environment must be quiet; the husband should avoid exertion; pain in all joints occurs; this marks the initial formation of the fetus.
At two months of pregnancy, the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian nourishes the fetus. Acupuncture and moxibustion on this meridian are contraindicated (such as Danqiao, Qiu Xu, Fu Yang, Jue Gu, Wai Li, Yang Ling Quan, etc.). The Foot-Shaoyang internally connects to the Gallbladder, which governs essence. At two months, the fetal essence forms in the uterus; care must be taken to prevent disturbance.
At two months of pregnancy, Yin and Yang energies begin to gather in the meridians. Excess cold leads to fetal deterioration and failure to form; excess heat leads to fetal atrophy. Exposure to wind-cold causes instability, epigastric fullness, and hanging tension below the umbilicus.
